To the above line up . When were the last time Dundee Utd were a cl team? What makes the current board , managers or scouts think putting green n white hoops on them makes them cl quality? 3 starting 11?

Give it a break , fed up with this same crap week after week

I agree back the team or shut up

I do back the team . Was there Saturday for flag day . But if Utd were that good? They would be in cl qualifiers . Not masquerading as Celtic players . M/s? Will be a great signing . Armstrong n ciftci? Not convinced . Mpo!

Mackay Stevens and Armstrong. Yes.

Ciftci. Hell no!

What does it matter which team a player used to represent.

We signed players from Barca, Real and Milan in the past and none of these exactly set the league on fire.

If a player is good enough it shouldn't matter how much you pay or if he has a fancy sounding foreign name; all that matters is that he can do the job that is asked of him. Up to now the Utd boys have done there bit so let's be thankful we can still sign some sort of player because the way things are going we will be looking even lower than Utd for players in years to come.

Well done to the team tonight good defensive display, sometimes that's what is required in European competitions us as Celtic fans know that only too well.

Delbhoy. Like the big man said "Celtic jerseys don't shrink to fit inferior players" the Dundee Utd boys will come good and we will make group stage of CL. HH

Which Champions League giants was it we signed Wanyama from again? Like has already been said, where a player signs from means nothing, it's what he does when wearing the hoops that matters and the 2 boys who have been here since January have done alright in my opinion. Cifti hasn't played half a dozen games yet, give the lad a chance!

Simple answer to the main question being dundee united went an all round strong team. Few good players and plenty of weaknesses

Gms and armstrong have been great signings. I do expect ciftci to come good also

It does not matter how well our team does there will always be someone moaning about something. Armstrong has been a great signing so far. Still undecided bout Ciftci but it's early days. Give the guy a chance!

In my opinion Armstrong is a far superior player in all aspects of the game to GMS and one of the best midfeilders we have and still got potential to be better the boy has an eye for a pass can score an run with the ball and has a great attitude where do you stand on Armstrong ED

{Ed007's Note - I like Armstrong as a player but he's not playing in his best position for us yet, I see him as the long term replacement for Brown in our midfield.}

I agree Ed, he looked far more effective against Ross County on saturday when he was in the central, box to box role. It's a nice problem for RD to have I'd imagine given the form of Bitton.

{Ed007's Note - Bitton has turned into a fine player and I'm hoping he's first in the queue for talks about contract extensions. With only two years left on his current deal I don't fancy waiting until next summer to try and get him tied down, another season of progression could see us really struggle to hold onto him next year. If we do qualify for the CL I can see Bitton shining out for us in that environment and that'll alert clubs to him if they aren't already aware of him.}

Armstrong could be the new joe the goal Ledley if not better and I agree with ed I see his future as one of the 2 sitting midfielders as opposed to playing in one of the 3 attacking roles as for gms I see him and Forrest as future stars on the wings for us

The only thing he could have improved last night was maybe wanting to hold on to the ball just a second too long at times. Some better pressing teams could punish that but he was fantastic. He's different from Wanyama but he's filled the void very well.

{Ed007's Note - Wanyama was a monster of a player. Big, strong & athletic and a brilliant DM but for me Bitton is a more cultured and technically gifted player than Big Vic.}
