Not for the first time Lennon has had to express his anger at our teams shortfalls.
This has been going on since last year and clearly the players take no heed of the manager.
We have dropped too many points and conceded far too many goals and if it wasn't for a long and profitable CL campaign, the fans would have let it be known before Christmas.
The cup defeat to St Mirren was unacceptable and Dundee Utd will be dying to play us at Hampden.
Obviously half of that team today would not have started If we didn't have so many out injured; but he has stuck by players who have been ineffective.
Hooper, Commons, and Forster have been nothing like their best for many weeks and there are another 3 or four who give virtually zero to the team:- Ambrose, Lassad, McCourt, and Miku.
When squad players come in they should be playing out of their skin to impress and push for honours, but we have a laziness or complacency that does no sit well with Celtic Football Club.
NL has said 'A few don't want to be here' Well drop their backsides and play the youngsters?
The manager takes credit for victories and plaudits for success, but there are a few players taking the Mickey time and time again and it's embarrassing the club and infuriating the support, so sort it out.

Some questions need to be asked those players where happy to sign long term deals why after such a short period of time they can't get out the door quick enough and why can't lennon get the best ( or anything at times ) out of the players on the park I find it very strange for a director to say some players will be leaving even if true that's usually kept in the board and dressing room and any statements are usually along the lines of they will only leave if we get the right offer and for lennon to say today if anyone wants to leave just chap my door and ask something is not right and we don't know who or how many players is involved in this and if you judge it by today you would have to say all of them

Agree2 Disagree0

@ JJ; Valid points mate as usual. I am positive the fans would rather see young players, rather than squad players, who will be off at the seasons end. We have maybe been fooled by the size of the squad we have. Sadly, there is not a lot of quality in it. There is, in my opinion, players who are not putting it in. Commons, Hooper and surprisingly Forster. None of these three have done much for weeks.

Agree3 Disagree0

Couldn't a agree more with this posting. A Celtic first team jersey comes with a responsibility. Some of those fortunate to be in that position are either unwilling or unable to hold up their end of the bargain. Either way show them the door. There is an often used quotation attached to Celtic - 'we don't play friendlies'. It seems the current crop of first team regulars excel at playing 'friendlies'.

Agree2 Disagree0

The buck stops with the manager. What does it mean to be captain of Celtic? How many players have not had a shot of being the captain this season?

Simply not good enough. No wonder Lenny is going nuts! Ambrose despite a promising start at CP, just will not do. I would take the FIRST decent offer we get. I also agree with another poster that guys like Hooper etc should be left out for a couple of weeks at least. Watt and Forrest need game time. Miku, Lassad, McCourt, will also be off in the summer. Overall we have had a very good season so far. We should not let it slip because of guys who have delusions of grandieur and want to be elsewhere. I think the manager knows that. HH!

Never mind the usual 'who would you buy' discussions. who would you keep? Obviously Wanyama and Hoops are more than likely to go so not going to add them to my list or the youngsters like Fraser, Twardzik etc. Not seen enough of them to pass a fair judgement.

Forster, Zaluska, Mathews, Lustig, Wilson, Mulgrew, Emilio, McGeouch, Forrest, Broonie, Kayal, Ledley, Rogic, Samaras, Watt.

I realise that is a lot of changes but feel that's what's needed this summer. This is not just in reaction to todays game, it just needs to be done.

Watt? i'm sorry but he has an attitude prob, seen him against Falkirk development 10 days ago and he was garbage, (looked like someone carried him onto pitch) too much to young, hopefully wrong.

An idea which i'll probs get slated for and not like it would happen anyway but the next league game a would seriously drop the full 1st team after todays performance and result and bring in a load of under 19s and 21s who wil actually work ther socks off and play for the strip and give the 1st team a boot up the @rse which is severely needed even if its just for 1 game just so they can see what playin for the jersey is all about wether yous agree or not a think its an idea considerin the league performances this season and the league bein wrapped up and cl is no excuse for past few games ie st johnstone away even though we should have been 7/8 nil up at half time but we wer'nt and stil dropped points, motherwell away and today because its been happnin all season sick of hearin ''aw its just a bad day and calm down the leagues won anyway'' sorry but a don't except that as a celtic fan a know aswel as anyone teams r always gona be pumped up playin us but the amount of points dropped espec from bein in the lead is pretty shockin and if was'nt for the cl ther would def be more of a stink kicked up about it this isn't just a rant about today btw iv posted a few times about it

GunnieBhoy BANG ON THE MONEY. wouldn't give another game to. sleepyambrose a donkey. izzy1 season wonder. wilson?piss. hooper? could name 20 hoops strikers thatwere better. Stokes not as good as GH SAYS IT ALL. Do I go on. jimthetim. been away. {Ed007's Note - Welcome back Jim.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Not just the players I would give the manager a game off 3 years and he's nearly emptied the stadium with his own style of play we need to go back to high tempo playing the game in their half change or go lenny its getting boring

Agree0 Disagree0

Ambrose gives no confidence to the defence, he is a nightmare, cannot win a ball in the air, and thinks he has all the time in the old once on th ball, would drop him immediately, play Marcus Fraser, miku is another waster, clearly not interested, Forster usually solid, but shaky just now,

I'm not going to overreact but being that the league is effectively over we should really already be thinking about building for next year. I think our strongest defence is good (Matthews, Wilson, ambrose, izzy) but we need to address beginning to replace the ones we know will be leaving I. e Wanyama and Hooper and giving players such as Watt and Forrest as much game time as possible to help their progression

We can get better in EVERY DEPARTMENT! maybe Matthews! the rest NOT UP TO IT. jimtetim,,. ,,

I think that was awful, to ship 3 goals after being up 2-0 is unacceptable!

Why are we still having these comedy defence moments? We know the players are up for it when they feel like it, played 180 mins against Messi and allowed him 1 goal and then this tripe?

26 goals we've conceded in the league this season already compared to 21 for the whole of last season & that was with big Dan!

GET IT SORTED!

No one else seems to notice it but its not our bottle or footballing talent that is our biggest problem. We are a team of soft touches! Big Victor can handle himself but him apart we get bullied every time the opposition starts fighting and putting it about. Watch for it the next time. Or even look to recent defeats. St. Mirren at hampden, St. Johnstone away, Motherwell and today.

Team far better with ambrose out it, the guy is a bombscare waiting to happen,

Today has confirmed my thoughts.
We have some players who think that playingforCeltic gives theman automatic entitlement to a medal.
Theyneed to learn that they need to make an effort somewhere alongthe way.
Very disappointed but not surprised, some players clearly onlywantthebiggames

Still on my way home work all week to go watch stuff like that on my only day off. lapse in consentration, european hangovers call it what you will personally too many don't deserve a shirt don't like to critisise players so iwont but this side has major flaws only a cheque book can solve. Hate to be saying this for the umpteenth time this season but congrats county you deserved it. Lenny needs to weed out the big time charlie's which they are not peter needs to get us a few guys with real talent at their disposal now not potential or at least guys prepared to run through walls to be in that f**k*n jersey or does that not matter to playerss any more. I remember when wearing those hoops mean't somthing, no matter where or who they were up against
come on guys ffs don't let the good work done so far go to waste now

Dont know about you guys but i'm getting pretty fekn sick of these defensive lapses. No excuses. We had the game in our pocket after 20 minutes and were playing pretty well. This is not the first time we have seen this happening. Start well then let other teams dictate the pace of the game. What is it with us? Any long ball back to front has us in a panic. Get it down and play! can anybody honestly say they really fancy us for the cup? This team just don't inspire any confidence at all. Lenny must be asked questions as well. Is he planning on keeping Miku? If not he should be nowhere near the team ahead of Watt. Did Stokes deserve a shirt? Why is Hooper playing deep? He is not a play maker. The front two were toothless and never helped us get a foothold in their half, the very least expected. After an encouraging display v Juve we get that. Yes the pitch was very poor, but it was poor for them as well. Lots of worrying signs here that can't be ignored for me. Right! Wine and pasta time even though they fekrs ruined it for me!. green jhedi

Believable10 Unbelievable1

GJ the signs have been there for a while, they just don't get highlighted as much if we're winning games apposed to getting beat! When we have our best 11, even when we play bad we get a result, a few changes it goes pear shaped, but its no surprise!
Too many people on here want to give players too many chances when there's no effin chance that they can turn it round. ! They get a shot, we get beat, they get the blame, some of these guys should have been knowhere near the team in the first place. I don't even need to name them as its the same ones over. and over. and over. and over.

My problems are we can't seem to pass a ball fom A to B, we have too many player's waiting for the ball to come to them, when they should be going to it, only pass mark's for me were Kayal and Mc Geogh, don't get me started about Stoke's strool's about moaning at everyone, really need's to give himself a shake, as for Micku not for me

Well well well, what an absolute shambles today.

Passing (if that's what you call it) very poor, commitment (from some) non existant.

Sure, County are workman like, but their energy and desire was more than ours.

Our players are the highest paid in the league, but on performances like today you wonder why, you can make all the excuses you want about the playing surface, but it is the same for both teams.

I would have thought that we would have wanted to make a point today after going out of Europe midweek.

Bhoys and Ghirls,

Every year we hope and pray for a good quality signing. This year let's be realistic. We will lose players and we will not sign any one of great value.

The champions league money has given the club security for a few good years down the line. The sale money for Wanyama and Hooper will simply be stored away, I can't even see us spending the little cash it would take to get MacKay Stevens or even Russell.

Just have to wait and see if any little gems can be found and be in place for the early rounds of the champs league qualifiers. The squad we have at the moment will win the SPL for years to come, could even make 10 in a row!.

Cant make the game today so having to stream it. How do we think we will do folks? I think this will be very tough, they are the form team in the SPL at the moment, so team selection will be vital. I would expect a three at the back, with both full backs injured it's the only way I can see, with Ambrose, Wilson and Mulgrew. A four in midfield for me with, Kayal, Wanyama, ledley, Izzy.
Then two loose players Commons and Rogic maybe? And Hooper up top. In a 3-4-2-1. I think this shape might suit the pitch, it is not the biggest, and as long as kayal and Izzy realise they do not need to bomb forward we would be quite tight. Gershon may come in of course, I got to say I liked the look of him at ICT, so who knows what Lenny will think. Your thoughts folks?. green jhedi

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Just noticed on teletext we will be missing a good few regulars so it may be Forster, Ambrose, Wilson Gershon and Mulgrew. Forrest, Kayal, Ledley and Commons. Hooper and Watt/Stokes.
Only leaves Rogne, Rogic, McGeough, Lassad and Miku to shuffle.
Down to bear bones for a really hard away game and we are going through a tough spell results wise lately.

Izzy and wanyama are ruled out for today along with matthews and sammy, watt is back. I'd be shocked if ambrose got a game today, get the feeling lenny is starting to get fed up with this guy. forster, rogne, mulgrew, wilson, kayal, ledley, commons, forrest, rogic, hooper, stokes/ or stokes and watt, just a guess

GJ I'm sure Big Vic and Izzy are out leaving us with a bigger team headache . I think Forster, Ambrose, Wilson, Mulgrew, Kayal, Ledley, Rogic, Forrest, Commons, Stokes Hooper. DH

If Celtic beat Ross County will Chick Young report "Good for Celtic not good for Scottish football"?

Clearly the guy doesn't like to travel and watch Celtic winning.

Apparently Celtic winning isn't good for Scottish football but any Celtic opponent winning IS good for Scottish football.

He never once said during Rangers winning nine in a row that it wasn't good for Scottish football.
I'll never forget how Walter smith treated him at that Ibrox training session, still on YouTube.

i'm hoping that celtic use the money made from champions league and player sales to get in a quality centre back and even more so a top quality striker with good technique able to make goals on his own and good in the air what's the point in having wingers or attacking full backs whipping crosses into the box for wee guys who are crap in the air i. e stokes and hooper we should speculate to accumulate spend 10 - 15 million on some more quality players instead of some unknown's with potential if we learned anything from the juventus games is I think midfield were ok but up front and at the back we are lacking in quality and with maybe atleast a more clinical striker we may have got more from the games hoopers head is gone for me he doesn't want to be here any more we should have gave stokes the nod atleast he wants to be at celtic
big. D

Believable2 Unbelievable5

NL is very committed to improving the team and progressing and although we will lose a few in the summer (Wanyama will be a huge loss) the nucleus of the squad will stay. Therefore we must go for that extra bit of quality with the cash available.
Defensive frailties were obvious as you say and the inability to score in 2 full games against Juventus also tells a story, and I would love to see a flair player on the left and a creative maestro in the middle.

JJ

What we need is someone on the park who can take the team by the scruff of the neck and tell them to get their finger out. Someone in the mould of Roy Aitken or indeed our Manager
Tambhoy {Ed007's Note - Scott Brown...I have said it since before the last time he was out with a long term injury how important he is to the team. I think NL sees a lot of himself in Brown and that is why he is club captain. Brown is the heartbeat of the team, when he is out nobody is willing to step up.}
