anyone else heard that Celtic are looking at Adel Taarabt from QPR?

Believable2 Unbelievable29

Hopefully not

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope not, he is a very poor worker on the pitch.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know if he is lazy or not but he def has talent. Also did RD not say we are not looking for a striker

Agree0 Disagree0

Marco yes he did say we wernt in for a striker, does it signal that gudetti won't be signing a permanent deal? But like the Doyle rumour, I seriously hope not I've seen him a few times and have never been impressed he's a player a team ends up carrying for 90mins. I'd rather the money be spent on a decent LB as cover for izzy and a decent CB, and GMS. forget CM and Strikers got plenty of them in the squad and out on loan, time we got what we needed for a change!

I hope not think this is the worst target we have been linked with in a long time I have no idea what deila is thinking am not looking forward to the rest of this month. If like Armstrong and Gudetti on a permenent deal and possibly a CB I'd be happy and am telling you's all now we will lose out on GMS because they will penny pinch they could have him if they wanted in celtics defence united out of order wanting 2million for someone who's contract is up in the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sam,
I think you are talking pish regarding the £2million fee. GMS will be sold if anyone offers £0.5million in my opinion as never mind Dundee Utd Celtic would sell any player in January for£0.5 million if they were out of contract in the summer for free unless they knew there was still a chance of keeping them on ie Kris Commons do you think for one minute Celtic would not sell Commons if they thought they had a chance of him staying? I think not. Now I am a Celtic supporter the same as most people on here but at the end of the day and sadly so it is now a business and because of that the hopes and dreams of all Celtic supporters is now secondary to the business model.
Hail Hail Celtic 'til I die.

Did Celtic not sign Gary Hooper who had scored less goals than Eoin Doyle has scored in the same division?
Now I know it didn't work out for him at Hibs but he played as a lone striker a lot of the time in a pish poor Hibs team so don't be so quick to condemn him. I do however think Celtic should be looking at players of a much higher profile than Doyle to appease the fans and to convince them that the club has indeed got some f$%k!~g ambition instead of being a cash cow for the effing money grabbing shareholders who are not interested in Celtic for the right reasons.
Perhaps the money grabbing bar stewards want to look into the history of the club and see why it was formed in the first place.
Rant Over. and OVER.

Eoin Doyle could be a good signing for us, I think he is a late developer and could score a lot of goals for us .
If Celtic want GMS, they will get him for
£300/400k.

Doyle is in league 1 hooper was in the championship and got relegated when we signed him

Difference being gunnie Doyle has been tested in spfl and failed, griffths played for same club and was a success and still struggles to get a game, is Doyle going to be no.1 striker at £1.5 that's a dear sub, will he play scepovic and Doyle together and completely change formation? I have deliberately left guidetti out as doesn't look like he will be here come summer

Was the boy ever at lennoxtown, a read he was at a lot of training grounds around Europe, can never remember seeing pictures of him here

Hi laylex you should have seen the report btw linked with just about everyone EXCEPT us :-(

He must have been impressed at last night's
game. A guest at the Madrid derby he would have been more impressed by Atletico Madrid who gubbed Real 2-0 with Real not really able to create any goalscoring chances. As much as I have always hated Atletico since 1974 they are one of the best TEAMS in world football right now.

So what you telling me is there was absolutely no chance he was signing for celtic, unlike the BRILLANT eoin doyle, Warsaw here we come!

I'm hearing there is 3 players we are trying to sign who are playing in Scotland.

Stephen Hendrie - Hamilton
Stuart Armstrong - Dundee Utd
Gary Makay-Stevens - Dundee Utd

These 3 along with Guidetti. but if the Guidetti deal doesn't happen he will be here until the summer then we will make our move for Nadir Ciftci in the summer.

JAckie Mac has confirmed celtic have made verbal contact with UNT regarding GMS. I think he's better than the left sided players we have on loan but I'm worried we are going for him instead of Armstrong because he's the cheaper option. We should still buy Armstrong. 3 million would be an investment we would definitely score more when he moves on. Markie

I think the GMS interest is to let him know Celtic are interested. They could sign him now for a small fee or get him for nothing at the end of the season. By all accounts he seems to want to try English football again after failing to succeed at Liverpool after signing from Ross County as a 16 year old in 2007.His whole career has been plagued by injury and it appears now he has grown and matured into the talented player spotted by Liverpool. Whether he wishes to remain in Scotland is not known but his head may be turned by Celtic's approach to Utd. My own opinion is that he is a talent but as we always see with players like GMS consistency is the key.I do however believe he is an entertainer who the fans would love but I don't think his signing if it happens would rule out moves for Armstrong or Ciftci etc.
