I would have KC on bench if fit always a goal in him perfect replacement if rogic tiring, let's put all this rubbish about his moods and attitude behind us and start again, imo he still has a lot to offer.

It's easy to say put it behind you, - Ronny Deila, and ultimately the fans/ team were the ones to suffer. It's Commons' way or the highway, the only difference is he's now got a manager who won't put up with his crap. He's done nothing for a year and a half and according to his best pal Hugh Keevins (which sums him up and tells us everything we need to know about his character) he's lost a stone and a half in weight - that's awful good of him. Why should Brendan get a thinner player than Ronny? Anyway he was on Celtic TV training about 10 days ago and still looked well unfit, and overweight. I'm not into the Gym personally but the boys I know that are look twice as fit as him. Tell me this - he's been out of contract a few times, and was obviously available on a free or for a nominal fee in Jan, - why is nobody ever interested in Kris Commons? Well apart from your token Lennon at Hibs and Stubbs at Rotheram!

End of they day it's up to the manager.

Agree2 Disagree4

07 Sep 2016 16:00:57
Kevin the reason you can have both is because commons is rank rotten and should never have been given a new contract. We have better players in the development team.

If I had my choice I would leave a vacant seat on the bench rather than Common's fat arse . He would be liable to cause problems from the bench that he couldn't cause if at home.

I agree with delphic on this one but surely he's worth a place on the bench bhoys he's always good for a goal against them, kinda similar to kenny misser for the zombies.

I just want to make sure we smash this mob and if with 15 mins to go and were looking for a goal KC would be a good shout imo.

I saw the Ed's comments last week about how disruptive and selfish Commons has been and I am bemused as to why he is still at the club, while a good few others have been shown the door already.
I appreciate players can refuse to leave, run down their contract and be obtrusive, but if it's true he is in the squad then, there must have been some sort of compromise?

Got to disagree, I'd have commons on bench if fit. There is no denying when he let rip at the management, that none of us wanted to do that.
RD was well out his depth, and should have subbed umpteen other players that day instead of the only guy who looked like scoring for us.
I don't understand why we have to have a witch hunt against players.
Ps leave the managing to the manager 👍.

You guys have a short memory btw. Commons and loads of others were below par due to delia. Look at the season when he was top scorer and when he joined us in January and made a lot of tims very happy. Give the guy a break and if he's lost 1 1/ 2 stone then we'll be the ones to reap rewards if he's given a chance with Rodgers. I'd have him on the bench for Saturday and let it take care from them. Even the ed brings negativity about him but I'm sure everyone's not perfect in what life they lead. Time to support the team instead of having sh@t digs at certain players. HH.

Agree2 Disagree4

{Ed007's Note - Rodgers probably keeps Commons away from the squad so that he can't carry tales to his friends in the press like he has done since he joined - you don't think all that good publicity for his wife is free do you?
Sometimes it's best not to say anything, especially when you don't know what you're talking about. This isn't something new, I've been saying the same things about him since the summer of 2011 - a whole five years ago - when he caused all sorts of problems for Neil Lennon.}

07 Sep 2016 20:34:18
Commons? Only if he was the player he was 4 years ago but he ain't so let's move on

Henderson, let him go. Seem to me he has an attitude problem highlighted in the Inter friendly to which I'm sure someone on this site highlighted.

The night he lost it with ronny he was out of line but we all would have done the same. Why would he have a problem with a manger that from day one had issue with his fitness? But when was struggling would always turn to him to dig him out a hole. The whole he's rotten is nonsense you don't score 90 goals from midfield in 5 years if your a poor player. With now having real wingers in the team he could get back to his natural position and play in the hole where rogic is playing. And let's be fair we might just get a full 90mins out both of them together as big John had more in the tank than rogic has at the moment. He must be the 2nd biggest goal threat in the squad.

I was actually going to mention what ed said about his troubles with NL and the RD so there is obviously some pattern to it.
In reality tho if he's fit and available he's worth a spot on the bench. he's got a good record against the zombies, doesn't mean he's a great player but he has that fear factor for them. Imo if rogic is out we will have to swollow our pride on this one and any issues with him put to one side. We need to beat this mob and i personally would like to see a convincing win snd if that means including KC then so be it

Will be interesting to see if BR gives him a spot i can't see it happening.

HH.

Commons is the biggest panty wetter at the club, that's the whole point. There was even a guy on Twitter a couple of days ago saying Brendan Rodgers was a disgrace of a manager for not putting Kris Commons in the Champions League squad. Guys like that are an embarrassment, plain and simple, and there's no point even dealing with them. We finally have a manager who will make brave decisions, decisions that many fans wanted taken ages ago. It's not about what a player did 2 years ago in the SPL. He didn't think twice about dropping guys like Gerrard and Carragher, that's how it should be at big clubs. Commons took a liberty with Ronny, he wouldn't have done that under Brendan, and it wasn't just the Molde game, like Ed has touched on he has been at it for years. He's not as good as he thinks he is, he's never been rated in England. Kris Boyd has scored 3 times as many goals as him in the SPL, so what does that mean, well it doesn't really mean anything other than stats mean fvck-all. He never passes, only thinks about getting a shot off and obviously getting the glory, is unfit, never lasts a full 90 mins, and has never really been rated except by some Celtic fans, many are blinkered though because he plays them with all the PR. It was these fans that ultimately forced Deila/ Lawwell into giving him a new contract worth around 18k a week, that's more than £3 million we would have been as well throwing out the window because he's not done a thing since. Even the goal he scored at Hampden against the other mob, that's all he did in that game, he was awful and sure enough was hooked!

Let us know what you know ed about commons. Can't comment about stuff I don't know? Well let us know🍀.

Agree0 Disagree3

{Ed007's Note - Read back through the site - I've been saying the same thing since 2011 - the way he acted towards Neil Lennon was a disgrace he has been feeding the press stories from inside Celtic since 2011.}

08 Sep 2016 00:28:53
Ronny didn't want him around, for a few reasons, and got nothing but abuse for it, by fans, but especially the press who would back him up at every turn. On that super scoreboard they were relentless, every night we were told Commons was the best player in the team (aye right) now we have a new manager who doesn't fancy him either and he's getting to pick him now. On the one hand we all love Brendan Rodgers but it's a fault if he doesn't rate a player many of us saw through ages ago, and who he also sees train every day! Does Rodgers know the game or not? We also have the same fans raving away about Rogic, Christie, and especially Scott Allan getting a game when they all play in the same position. Bizarre!

Agree0 Disagree4

{Ed007's Note - Is anyone surprised that Radio Snyde (where Keevins works) would be bigging up Commons? Kris has earned that kind of backing from them over the last 5 years.}

2 days before the 1st celtic v sevco league game EVER and the hot topic is KC?
Dont know why anyone is getting there panties in a twist you don't like KC we get it great, he's old news imo and what's been said we haven't heard a thousand times.
Like ed pointed out he's been on the case since 2011.

Saturday isn't about KC tho and if he's the egomanic that we claim he is he will be loving this attention were giving him.

This is our chance to welcome the zombies back to parkhead with a good old fashioned smashing.
Theyve been desperate to be back in the big league let's make them regret coming back and also a bit off payback for hampden.
Oh and let's welcome young joe barton to CP the poor lad has always wanted to play there he's fulfilling a dream.

Said earlier that its highly unlikely BR will include him but if he did it would be through gritted teeth.

KC - scores some good goals and made some good memories

But for me he has no class, or team spirit

Can't see how he will fit in to the new look side/ playing style.

Time to go.

What a laugh :) . Injury/ attitude aside. What has he been doing in his off season to loose 1 1/ 2 stone (if true) and still look overweight?
Not to be too sports science arsey but that's a over eat of 73500 calories. That is f***in mental. For anyone that has ever trained or read the back of a packet it is a wild number. (Google says it's 81 fish suppers ha ha)

Great post Delphic and yes the Ed has kept us right on what KC has been up to. I wouldn't have him anywhere near Celtic park let alone on the pitch. We are supposed to be moving toward and haveing got shot of that other whining 3rd rate douche Mulgrew; KC should have followed. BR will work with players who want, no are proud ti play for the best team in world football.
