are celtic getting the rangers ticket money up front and why are the sfa and spl not chasing their outstanding monies from the gers

Believable9 Unbelievable2

I think its because they don't have any money....

Agree0 Disagree0

The next old firm game should be only Celtic fans unless they pay upfront for their tickets. If they dont then we can fill the seats no problem and wouldnt have to worry about chasing the shame for more cash. HH

expect Rankers admin to announce the Singaporean bid is preferred bid with a bank roll of $14 billion + Ng FAMILY 8.9 Billion kwee brothers $3.9 and Paul lim $1.8 there are 2 more money men in consortium as yet un-named

Believable4 Unbelievable17

Ah, billionaires with wealthy of the radar, somehow we've heard this all somewhere before.

The minute the Shame see the word billion they get themselves into a dreadful state, to the extend that they are no doubt soiling their underwear.

Just because someone has a lot of money, doesn't mean they are going to throw it at Rangers.

The reality is, you know nothing whatsoever about the Singapore people and have no idea of what their bid consists of.

Oh, and in case you've forgotten, it doesn't matter how much they offer for Rangers, it is Craig Whyte who will decide whether to sell or not.

You then have to overcome Craig Whyte's £18m+ floating charge, The Big Tax Case, Creditors agreeing to enter a CVA, and Ticketus who will have their day in court.

This leaves only one outcome - LIQUIDATION.

When the corpse that is Rangers 1873 arrives at the morgue, it is then that The Blue Knights, The Singapore Consortium and the American Consortium will genuinely be interested in acquiring the assets of the liquidated club and forming a newco. All we have just now is posturing to try and keep muppets like you believing the club will come out of administration. {Ed007's Note - Paul Lim is a professional darts player. Peter Lim is the shady Asian Guy that was in the TV documentary last year along with Bryan Robson talking about the best ways to make money out of struggling football teams. He owns a chain of Man Utd themed bard in Asia.}

ed as you know my feelings on rangers predicament is clear , i would walk all the way from balloch to govan just to pi55 on the rubble of their stadium , but the amount of money the administrators are getting is nothing short of scandalous ,fab1 {Ed007's Note - I knew they would be getting well paid but I couldn't believe the actual figures. It seems that even the administration has questions surrounding it. The Rangers fans have been led a right merry dance over the whole situation.}

I hope the Celtic players are aware of how lucky they are.After two big games blown they have the chance to end it tomorrow.We have to be all over killie and be clinical with any chances,ideally,early goals and enjoy the day.We and the players deserve to win it with a bit of style as i think a real good performance is overdue.

Hobbybhoy

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Not sure if it's something to do with the pre-season friendly.

Agree0 Disagree0

The dodgers had a player on there books a while ago i think called dean furman who started off at chelsea so it might be compinsation to the other half off the blues brothers {Ed007's Note - He left about 3 years ago, I doubt it has anything to do with that deal.}

Payment for borrowing their fans at UEFA final in Manchester?

Regarding the £40,000 Rangers owe Celtic. Ithink Peter Lawell should tell them to keep it. If they can't pay us in full, he should tell them we don't want their poxy 10p in the pound. Or even tell them it's a gift of goodwill. If only Peter could keep a straight face while saying it.
paddybhoy

Believable14 Unbelievable4

I think we should charge their fans double for the ext old firm game and then donate it to the other Spl clubs they are diddling

We should let them keep it. After all its their first team budget for next season

The SPL have given a so called explanation for the muck up over the
presentation . They say its to benefit all Celtic supporters if they present
the trophy at a home game . My question is WHY NOT AT THE OLD
FIRM GAME?

Believable13 Unbelievable2

Good point. but the police don't want that as they think it will cause trouble. also the rangers fans can cause alot of damage to Celtic park i.e. seats an toilets an so on.... doing this rangers will be liable but can't pay it as ..... as they are skint ..... An will just owe Celtic more money they can't pay. Why i think we won't get the trophy on the old firm game.

Shaun sweeney

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather it was presented in a game after the Old Firm game. Too many eejits to spoil it, also, would we like it if the trophy was presented to Rangers in fron of us at Ibrox?

Yet again ed you don't show my post which is only telling the truth.

It seems to be one way traffic on this site.
If you check the Rangers site many Sellick fans are allowedto have their dig! {Ed001's Note - except that it was me editing, not 007, anything deleted was not because you were a Rangers fan.}

Ed

Why, for telling the truth. Answer that one!!!!!!!!!!! {Ed001's Note - you don't even sign a name to your post, I really don't see how you can expect me to know what you are referring to. You might want to stop wasting my time with ludicrous questions!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed,

I rest my case. Your silence is deafening. The truth really hurts. You just continue to post all your anti Rangers bile daily. {Ed007's Note - What are you flapping your gums about? I have no idea who you are or what you are talking about. I suggest you stop acting like a complete tool, if that is possible.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed,

Your deluded if you don't know what my post was about. You see everything with green tinted specs.

I will put this one to bed. {Ed007's Note - I never read your post. Stop acting like a complete and utter plank, you don't even have the common decency to leave a name, Ed001 has told you to stop wasting our time so I suggest you do so or I will block you from using the sites. I don't know who you are and I have no interest in anything you have to say. Your post was deleted for a reason, I have no idea what that reason was but I would hazard a guess that it was as idiotic and pointless as anything else you have said.}

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Agree. Lets go all out and win every game till the end of the season.

Ed
you might want to keep this out of view as i dont want to give them ideas.

was talking with a few of mates earlier and the subject of not giving RFC(IA) any tickets for the game on the 29th April.
his reason for this was
that mob will come to Celtic Park in the mind that any damage they cause will not be paid for in full due to the club being in administration. seats, toilets and anything else they can rip apart they will.
very valid point i thought

Lubo25 {Ed007's Note - CFC need to firstly get some sort of guarantee that the ticket money will be paid. It's bad enough they owe us £40k already without giving them the chance to add to the bill.}

Believable23 Unbelievable3

If they cant guarantee payment .then dont give them any tickets and sell them to Fellow celtic supporters and then SFA/SPL can allow the presentation of the league trophy and then you would see a stadium rock

Agree0 Disagree0

The agreement with rangers over damage has always been we repair our own and they repair theirs so no money changes hands and it stays out of the papers.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's chicken feed to us. Let them come an see the footie for one last time. It's not the fan's fault

Right Bhoys and Ghirls this time tomorrow we could be starting to begin a weekend party to celebrate being champs . Next week we've got a semi final in the Scottish cup . Big games indeed . Is it to much to ask for a shame free couple of days and channel all our energies behind our club . Personally I am sick to the back teeth of their problems , that's all I've been hearing for the past few months. Let them get what they deserve whatever it may be . Let's start talking about Celtic ( or really just football ) and how the rest of the season may pan out . Rant over and I just hope my fellow Bhoys and Ghirls we pummel Killie from kick off then we all can have a party to remember.........DH

Believable12 Unbelievable4

And what is wrong with doing both? - far more enjoyment celebrating our success and celebrating their demise.

A contact in Dublin is hearing that Dermot Desmond in talks with Diageo Ireland regarding a 10 year deal on CP stadium name massive deal.

Phill mag just posted this on Twitter and he's not often wrong.

Believable19 Unbelievable12

Phil Mac is alway right of course!!
Shouldn't any possible discussions regarding naming rights or anything else for that matter not be carried out by Peter Lawwell instead od Dermot Desmond?

Well, Desmond is major share holder and will have better contacts than lawell, so id imagine he would be making the foundations!

Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell has struck a secret multi-million pound deal with Guinness to rename Celtic Park. The deal, which will come into effect from the start of the 2012-13 season, will bring more than £400 million into the club coffers over the next 10 years, a source close to the deal exclusively revealed to The Irish Times this week.
Celtic's home stadium since 1892 will be renamed ‘The Guinness Arena’ from August 2012, according to documents seen by The Irish Times, and then as 'Guinness Glas (Gaelic for 'green') Arena' from 2015. The deal does not initially include shirt sponsorship, although Guinness are believed to have an option to take over shirt sponsorship from from Tennents, when Celtic's deal with the rival brewery firm concludes in 2013, or when the deal is voided by Rangers entering a liquidation process. It could push the total value of the deal to more than £60 million per season.

The historic deal, brokered by Diageo's Dublin-based commercial team and Celtic's financial big-hitters headed by Eric Riley, will be greeted with delight by Celtic's bean counters, while it will likely draw anger from those supporters opposed to changing more than 100 years of Celtic history.

Secret talks with beverages industry giant Diageo, the parent company of the Dublin-based Irish brewers, which turned over more than £13.32 billion in 2011, have been taking place for more than six months the source told The Irish Times. Guinness is said to have day-to-day responsibility for the groundbreaking sponsorship, although Diageo's London-based senior management were required to sign off on the deal, which is believed to be the biggest of its kind in football.

“Make no mistake this is a done deal,” the source, who did not want to be named, told us.

“The Celtic board are obviously delighted with the deal, although they know that it will bring an angry reaction from some fans’ groups. But as Rangers face financial meltdown, Peter Lawwell knows that as long as Neil Lennon keeps delivering results on the pitch, commercial activity will be unaffected by fans’ complaints.

“Guinness is one of the most recognisable brands in in the world, but rarely gets involved in football. This is a strategic move for the company to build a strong tie between two massive worldwide brands and to get involved in the higher echelons of football, whilst also helping in keeping with their Irish identity and roots. Celtic has been tracking this deal for months, perhaps even years. Mr Riley and Mr Lawwell pulled out all the stops to seal it.”

Just to clear up my earlier post, i am putting my money on the 16.7 donkey in the Greyskull Derby:
16.7 An alternative arrangement would see a CVA approved without a purchaser acquiring the shareholding. Once the CVA is approved the Joint Administrators could then seek to transfer the assets and/or liabilities of the Club into a wholly owned subsidiary and offer the purchaser the option to acquire the shares in that subsidiary.. This does mean that the business would trade with a new company registration number and this also may have implications with the various football authorities
Nevis

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Every time I read about CVA, liquidation then new company I feel disgusted. There is something vile about the acceptance that Rangers can go into liquidation, wipe out all debts then register a new club and expect to carry on business as usual. This sums up the dark side - cheat, cheat, liquidate then carry on cheating!

Agree0 Disagree0

For the record - Greyskull is where the Goodies come from. Some folk can't even get that right.

Does anyone remember all the packed houses of 60 - 70,000 that used to cram into Celtic Park for European matches in the 60's, 70's and 80's?

How come the crowds declared by Celtic were always around 20,000 less? Doeas that constitute tax avoidance I wonder!! {Ed007's Note - Obviously not as it doesn't appear there are any ongoing tax cases against CFC. How do you know what the crowds were, were you there to count it? And it is not just the taxman Rangers owe money to either, the club entered administration without the outcome of the BTC being known. I wonder how long it will be before ANY club or business feels comfortable dealing with Rangers in future.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed - I was at many a game at CP where you could barely move, especially euro matches and it always surprised me when I saw the published crowd in the press the next day. {Ed007's Note - So was I and a lot of the times I got lifted over the turnstile. This is just another pathetic attempt from Rangers fans to deflect from the disgraceful behaviour of their club towards other clubs and businesses in general. They were on accusing CFC of putting people at Ibrox out of jobs, look at the trail of debt they have accumulated and see how many small companies are owed money. From the police and ambulance service right down to the newsagents and face painters, it is a disgraceful situation, throw in the non payment of tax and it shows the full extent of contempt they club has shown to the normal man in the street, including their own fans, over the years.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Mmmm - must've been a lot of folks getting lifted over the turnstiles. Rangers' position is down to the directors and others running that club and not the supporters who pay their money. It took Fergus with a new broom to put right what had gone on before with us and we became a better and stronger club going forward. What if a similar thing happens with Rangers? {Ed007's Note - The same can be said for CFC, it was the board not the fans. The difference is that CFC fans done something about it rather than dismiss it all as a Timmy conspiracy or believe that their club was too big or 'important' for it to happen.}
