Celtic midfielder Nir Biton will miss the next two Champions League games after being given a two-match ban by governing body Uefa.
The Israeli international was sent off in last month's home win against Ajax.

Unsurprising considering it is UEFA. Obviously can't appeal red cards but the one-match ban should not have been extended. There was minimal contact from Biton.

Wtf is going on with us getting extremely harsh punishments for minimal contact challenges

I assume uefa will deal with man utd's Young with a similar type punishment. Not in the spirit of the game and if you are good enough you don't need to con the ref to progress.

What does it matter after another rubbish performance against ajax and another quick exit from the group stages, when will the manager learn forest is not god enough another pish performance from him and stokes and as for the two centre backsball watching at least one of them should track the runner at the goal the guy had about two weeks to pick his spot.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish performance yes, forrest stokes and commons worst on the park yes. big Van Dijk was immense though. him Forster, lustig and to a lesser extent izzy were our best players. the rest were also-rans. how commons and stokes get games at that level is beyond me.

Sorry Bhoys and Ghirls but I asked myself how much I'd pay for a point, so I stuck a monkey on Ajax to win today. Our biggest task will be to score, that's after we'd have to be our best to even get half of the ball because I think they'll get at least two and dominate us for most of the game.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Jim, I love all the optimism on here but i'm not one of them. I would be surprised if we got a point from the game. But what do I know, last time we went their we gave them a good spanking.

These games this season have been impossible to predict - but we've been in them all. More of the same please.

Agree0 Disagree0

I do not care if they have the ball for 90% of the game, if we score one more than them we take all 3 points, that's all that matters.

I said 2-0 Ajax we have scored one goal in open play in 3 cl games unless some one steps up I think we're goosed.

I'm also not so positive re tonight but they HAVE to win to have any chance and that may play into our hands. let's avoid an early goal for them and see what happens. Pleased that Commons is fit. ps sorry JimTim but I never bet against the Bhoys.

Agree0 Disagree0

My brother always bet Celtic to lose, and Rangers to win, hoping it would be the other way round. He was always skint.

Cant believe the negativity on here. Really think a lot of people are overrating this current ajax team.I know our record away from home is terrible but I m going for 2-1 to the bhoys.

Would love for us to scrape a win but I can't see us scoring tonight and going down 1-0 or 2-0. Here's hoping I'm wrong and we don't gift them an easy goal.
