Everton now allegedly turning their interest to Yerry Mina, the Colombian who scored against Engerland.
Hopefully this latest rumour will stop some Celtic fans from wetting their panties over losing KT.
For the last time, the lad ain't going anywhere and he never was to begin with. Some fans on various forums really do need to get a grip, all they were doing was adding fuel to the non-existent rumours. HH.

Colombia must have the worst defenders about but good luck to Everton they have no chance getting KT.

He's a huge centre half Bob but the Algerian they're meant to be after can play left back.

guys if it's true that Everton want to pay 25 million fir KT then we should seriously consider it. Top money.

How is it top money if spurs got 54 mill for a left back.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - what is the record fee for a player sold from the Scottish League? Would it be top money compared to that? I honestly can't remember, but thinking that might be the comparison, rather than a made up, non-existent Spurs left-back going for 54mill, which has never happened. They did sell a right back for that price, in Kyle Walker, but never a left back.}

Who would you replace him with Dafabet?

Is the record fee not what we sold big virg for mate.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - which would be around about £14m I think. Though not sure if that includes any sell on fees or other add ons. In which case that would make £25m top money surely? Not as much as the player would be worth if he was in one of the top 3 leagues plying his trade, but for the SPFL surely the OP has a point?

Saying that, if the club don't need to sell and the player is happy to stay, why on earth would you sell him for it? There are so few quality left backs around, you would be mad to let one of the best young ones go for anything less than obscene money.}

Will never get my head round wanting to sell or best players for x amount. Could understand if we were in finical trouble but we aren't.

We could keep him for another 2 years and if he keeps progressing like he is at the minute and remains injury free there more money to be made.

VVD sold on the cheap no less than 50 million or look elsewhere simple.

Yeah we got done on the VVD situation like.

I'd accept £40 million it's a crazy number even for KT, but football is a crazy money down south. If someone came in with that kind of offer it's to good to knock back. If that was invested and the club offered a further £10-15 million transfer fees your looking at taking the club to the next level. But a it's and buts. £25million I'd knock back atm.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - And if KT doesn't want to move do you think the Club should force him out the door?}

05 Jul 2018 12:44:52
Kt is only going to improve so surely if we're going to get to the next level it would be better to keep our core of young players and let them take us there. Unless they want to leave of course.

I hope he stays but if these epl teams want him bad enough then the price I would put is 50 million 25 million is peanuts to these clubs.

Defo not Ed. We have him for 6 yrs, his stocks only going to go up. But id agree, 40m is where id start talking to people. 25m, meh. We have more than that lying around already and can't spend it.

It would be false economy to sell the best players, possibly meaning less money from Europe because the teams been weakened.

Like ed said as long as kt wants to stay I say keep him. How are we meant to build a team if we constantly sell off our best players. How for instance can we try and keep hold of Dembele for another season or two if we are selling off the better players. Plus, does anyone on here realistically think the club are going to let him spend all the funds we get for kt. I’d doubt it, also as most people have said on this forum, that we have needed a new right back for the last couple of seasons yet we haven’t done it. Maybe filling full back/ wing backs is not easy especially when you have to replace a top quality one for a smallish sum in terms of what other countries teams can pay.

{Ed007's Note - I think people looking for a RB to replace Lustig are going to be very disappointed, Lustig will be first choice RB next season.}

05 Jul 2018 16:35:38
Ed007 and rightly so. Great player for us.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - We've got two defenders that are playing for teams in the Last 8 of the World Cup and a lot of fans want rid of both of them.}

05 Jul 2018 17:44:08
It’s bit about replacing Lustig if he is in top form. It’s about having someone to fill in who we can have confidence in. We need quality back up and right now we don’t have it. Say he gets injured? What then? Ralston? Gamboa?

We need a right back to compete for the position.

Sorry for the late reply. If KT doesn't want to go that's fine he doesn't go. I'd rather have KT who wants to play for Celtic than 4 £10 million players who use us as a stepping stone. When you play your heart out for the club the fans know your giving it your all. That's all we can ask.

But in theory if he went for £40 million I'd wish the board invest but probably unlikely to happen.

We can't sell PC Lustig, we need him for the celebrations when all the goals fly in against sevco.

Sorry guys take the £25k he's only worth about that at most, up your offer to us to £3m for McGinn and you've got a bargain, and by the way you need to pump the Huns.
