Hi Ed Stephen Here again, i read that lenny is putting in a 2 million pound bid for big Fragile Forster i know he broke the clean sheet record but imo i wouldnt take him again he is a nervous wreck i was just thinking whats your opinion on him and how does he compare to the polish keeper we are linked with ?
rate
Stephen 88 {Ed007's Note - I haven't seen enough of him to pass an honest opinion, but I know NL (and Stevie Woods) rate him highly, as do a lot of teams. As for Forster, statistics can be warped to support an argument or opinion, but he could only do what was asked of him.}

Was a disaster for newcastle against leeds from what i read. but i would take him back if only for the understanding from last season

Rubbish lemmon has been looking at free keepers on trial for the past few weeks.....if he had 2 million to spend on a keeper he would have done so by now.
Face it...........celtic are skinto mcginto and will be in around 60 million of debt once the figures are released.

I see one of the orcs has found itself onto the celts page if you actually new how to read a news paper you would have seen the article saying lennon is ready to put in the offer crawl back to your own page and discuss the players you lot missed out on due to Craig Sh*te and his tight fist

Believable4
Unbelievable4
Looks like he wants to be at a team that can actually win a league trophy {Ed007's Note - Another absolutely fantastic post, mate. Have you ever thought of writing a sit-com? Your talents are wasted on a place like this and 100% deserves a bigger audience. Have you considered writing a blog? There is probably someone somewhere that would be willing to read it even for the fact of knowing that there is someone a bit more "challenged" than themselves. If you need any help advertising your pin point insights then I am more than happy to help promote your prose. You are obviously a very gifted writer and it would be criminal to waste such a talent.}

Seen earlier that he's signed for Chelsea with Celtic getting 300k

Its a load of nonsense. If the boy was leaving, do u not think there would of been more media coverage? after all the boy is a wonderkid
Also this scotzine site, seems a backstreet total bull site. Honestly think this a wind up from one of the rotten mob cause we got one of their youth players {Ed007's Note - I am waiting on 002 to get back to me. If anything is going on at Chelsea she will know. I honestly don't know if it is true or not.}

These rumour appear all the time this is about the 5th time his left in three years. if he is leaving good luck to him. I notice that he never appeared in any of our warmup games. Perhaps he is actually not good enough for celtic. David

Shay said in an interview that he would have reduced his wages to come, whether that was just paper talk i don't know.If say he wanted 40 grand then surely Celtic could have paid 25 with DD paying the other 15 for such an important player.

I see Islam Feruz has left us for Chelsea. I think he will have dissapointed a lot of people at Celtic park. I suppose we have done it ourselves to many clubs, but i would have liked to have seen if he was as good as everyone made out. Anyways thats football,
but it still leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Chris McCart has stated before that he's already signed a pre-contract with us.
Therefore unless there's anything official about this from a reliable source it'd be best taken with a pinch of salt.
Having said that if he has in fact left at the earliest opportunity I wish him all the worst in his career for a number of reasons and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

After everything we did for him. Getting him a life he'd never have had in a land of poverty. What goes around.....
Can only hope he comes a cropper
Agree0

Always knew that wee f***er would bolt at the first opportunity. I understand that Chelsea are a much bigger club (by that I mean they are competing for CL etc) than Celtic but after everything we, especially Tommy Burns, have done for him you think he would show a little bit of loyalty. I am sure Celtic would have been happy to give him 2500 a week even so we could sell him in a year or two. He will probably never get near a first team place and will be sent on loan every year to the championship until he is 23. Before deciding to call it a day and move to Cardiff. Well Good Luck to you (yah f***ing money grabbing prick)
Lubo67

Bulls**t lads. I have to laugh, we cut about 20 lads a year from our youth ranks, lads that bleed Celtic and that have the heart and a bit of talent but don't get a chance. Were is our loyalty? No guarantee Feruz will make big, but I wish him the best, Celtic are bigger than one player.

It is being reported on newsnow celtic that young Islam Feruz is leaving to join Chelsea. I am really disappointed if this is true after the club being so good to him and his family you would have thought he would have felt indebted to the club We can only expect to get up to £300, 000 for him as he is under 16, I guess there is no loyalty in football anymore, a shame.

Agree0

We arent good enough to dismiss anyone yet.....our recent euro record is grim. get the heads down work hard and with a bit of luck we'll make the groups....but it wont be easy.
Agree0
Disagree0
With no disrespect to sion but we should really be beating teams like this in european ties if we dont we have only ourselves to blame as every man and there dog knows we need a gk, cd & cf and nothing has been done about it, if we do go out serious questions must be asked not only of the players but the management and the so called scouting system at least the beasties across the city are keeping the entertainment value alive this pre season with there efforts to sign everyone and anyone which is more than can be said for us all we get is linked with the same 3 usual suspects who's best days have long gone
Agree0
Disagree0
Too be honest I wouldnt mind getting knocked out The Europa League doesnt generate much revenue and its a pain playing games Thursday then Sunday. The monkees are in turmoil and I think we should concentrate on just making sure we win the league and qualify for next years CL and have european football next season.
Agree0
Disagree0
They were the team to avoid lol best team in there pot them maribor unkuckly rankers etc
Agree0
Disagree0
Although they will no doubt be a difficult opposition I comparisons with Aston Villa/ Fulham etc are being extremely generous. In fact they only qualified through the Cup and have never won the league. I know some may argue that the Swiss league is harder than the SPL but FC Sion are probably as good as Dundee United or Hearts.
Agree0
Disagree0
WHOEVER WANTS US OUT OF THE EUROPA LEAGUE IS A DISGRACE
WE CAN MAKE A REAL MARK ON THIS COMPETITION, WE'VE DONE NOTHING SINCE 2007/2008 IN EUROPE AND YES WE CAN'T GET CARRIED AWAY BUT IT IS AN EXCELLENT DRAW.sION CAME 4TH IN A 10 TEAM SWISS LEAGUE AND WE WILL KNOCK THEM OUT. {Ed007's Note - Can you turn your caps lock off please?}
Agree0

Basel and Zurich finished miles ahead of Sion in the lge last year. they were 19pts behind and only 6 pts better off than 6th (out of 10). Hardly anything to get excited about. If we cant expect to get past that then we might as well switch the lights off now Fear Sion get a grip

Believable20
Unbelievable28
I agree but be quiet, you'll set the rest of em off again. Just one look at his face against Inter made my mind up....he's a jockey, just out to wind people up and cause mither, says a lot that he can't get back into the middle of the park and yet he's our captain. Kayal & Ledley, or even Ki & Ledley are a better pair.
Shaunybhoy
Agree0

I totally disagree with you. broony does the dirty work, he breaks up play and he is strong in the tackle. every team needs a player that does this and i am glad he is close to signing a new deal.

I agree with you shaunybhoy. Sell him now before he gets a new deal. But saying that no club has inquired about him. They must see what the majority of the fans see (a headless chicken) gasbhoy

scott would have excelled if his family probs

LET'S ALL DO THE BROONY get behind the team instead of slagging them off constantly
Agree0

I hope that the fans who slag off brown are the one there week in and week out and i hope they notice the pace we played at when he is in the team and the problems after he was out after the killie game in nov and dec last year not 100% but when he plays we win
Agree0
Disagree0
Can't shoot, can't pass, can't tackle enough said
Agree0
Disagree0
If you can't see what Brown brings to the team then stop following football.
Agree0
Disagree0
If u think brown is a player u may as well start watching the juniors u can watch 22 headless chickens 4 a fraction of the price
Agree0
Disagree0
I'm in two minds about it. I love having Scott Brown involved with Celtic some may call him a thug but he has more passion than the rest of team put together. Although sometimes he chooses to display this passion in a frustrating and immature way. Despite his passion though I feel his footballing ability just isn't great and he takes up a position that would be better given to someone who can create chances and score goals.
Lubo67
Agree0
Disagree0
I am delighted he will stay, i think his drive and energy are vital to the team, more important though is that the combination of brown, kayal, ledley (ki) allows us to dominate the midfield, remember what happens when we play with two traditional type wide men, we lose games
Agree0
Disagree0
This idea that brown is a poor player is nonsense, i assume people remember he was Scottish players player of the year 08-09 and was fantastic for us last year, Lenny continually states how vital he is to the team, so lets get behind him the guy is desperate to bring back the title
Agree0
Disagree0
Brown is the captain of Celtic, if you have enough faith in Lennon to make the choice then that should be enough said. Yes about the best bit of times he looks as though he's doing nothing but if all 11 players put the level of commitment in a challenge, drive and passion toward the club then we would be sitting here waiting on a Europa League qualifer. And for the ones that seem to forget about his shooting and passing he aint got no 30 yard wonder strike like Ki or even the precision of Kayal but he was the one who scored agains the buns LETS ALL DO THE BROONIE
Agree0
Disagree0
I'm with the original poster and ShaunyBoy, I'm sick of people saying oh he does the dirty work, Kayal is the midfield enforcer who dominates the centre of the park with his tough tackling and then he can play a killer ball. Brown can't. Ki can rattle a ball in from 25 yards on a semi-regular basis. Brown can't. Ledley can make those late runs in to the box and nab him self the odd goal. Brown can't. He's a good player, maybe great, just not at Celtic.
Agree0
Disagree0
Scott brown is our roy keane. the people who think otherwise are prob the same idiots that didnt rate lenny the player and realise wot he done for moneil celts side(lennon brown we luv u)

Just read this online
Polish keeper Grzegorz Sandomierski will not be in goal for Celtic in their Europa League qualifiers even if the Parkhead club sign him before Monday s deadline.
The 21-year-old who Neil Lennon confirmed in yesterday s SportTimes is a man they are interested in has already played in the tournament this season.
In the first round, his team, Jagiellonia Bialystok, crashed out 2-1 on aggregate to Irtysho from Kazakhstan.
Not much point in Signing him then is there if we want a good run in Europe we will need a good keeper.

Hi ed, just wondering what are estimated transfer budget is? I keep hearing loads on nonsense that just because DD is a billionaire he should pump money in. But he cant do this without buying the equivalent amount of shares which would force him to takeover. Being a prudent club(as we always have been) what would you say we could afford as a maximum if a superstar became available and was interested? Cheers. HH. {Ed007's Note - There is no set transfer budget, no club would ever release that figure as it lets other teams know how much you have and will push prices up. Cd nacional (portugal)
fc sion (switzerland)
Pfc litex lovech (bulgaria)
Sv Reid (austria)
Slk slask wrocraw ( team from Poland who heat dundee united)
Fk robotnicki from (mkd? Which I presume is Macedonia)

What would he offer us we already have Maloney to keep the physio in work. He would be a worse signing than bellamy in my opinion. We need a goalie a stiker and possibly a centerhalf.

Celtic will play their first European football of the season in their tie and have been told they could face one of six unseeded opponents.
CD Nacional from Portugal, FC Sion, Litex Lovech, SV Ried, FK Rabotnicki and Dundee United s conquerers Slask Wroclaw are in their pot.
Who do you all fancy?I hope we dont get Slask Wroclaw but i would take any of the other teams.

Hi ed. I think big foster is over rated. Ok he broke the record last year for clean sheets but that was because our midfield held on to the ball most of the time and we were always attacking I could of stood in goals last year. I can't remember one good game that he had for us except for 10 minutes in a hibs game. So I think we should of sign westwood but the young pole looks good more mobile than foster. Bigirishmac {Ed007's Note - I was a bit disappointed that Westwood didn't sign.}

If we get the polish goalie and murphy then I'm happy. I think that McGregor is a good centrehalf but not quite good enough (yet)

The champions can't get hannover and you can't get helsinborgs and shamrock rovers. You clearly have no knowledge of football

So ya manky fud, because I didn't know uefa had already half sorted the draw beforehand, I have no knowledge of football? Away back to your own manky site ya halfwit so ya can only embarass yourself in front of your own. In fact, calling you a halfwit is a compliment.

i would never take joey barton on at celtic because quite frankly he would tarnish the clubs reputation as el hadji diouf did with rangers and if he is already with a premiership team and other premiership teams are interested, why would celtic fans think he would come to us personally i like the look of kello from hearts, dont know his contract situation but he seems to be consistant, and chris humphrey is a cracking player aswell

if celtic strat to pursuing joey barton instead of concentrating on the positions were we really need players i.e. GK, CB, and CF, i'll be calling for Lenny and Lawell to be drug tested. even if you take away the fact the lad is a complete screwball, we've already got 4 cracking centre mids competing for 2 places and a midfield most EPL teams would be envious of. If this turns out to be anything more than paper talk, i'll be astonished.
