Since Rangers went in to adminastration, in a period of 6 weeks Rangers have taken in £1,020,234 in revenue, but have spent £3,617,165 and that's not taking in to account the fumbling about Duff and Phelps have been doing to the tune of £1,199,356.

Also inland revenue have a rule in agreeing CVA's. They will not agree a CVA with any business where they deem that there has been an evasion of statutory liability, i.e. tax evasion. HMRC class EBT's as an evasion of tax liability, so that means HMRC have a stated policy that will lead them to reject any CVA, so it looks like curtains for Rangers.

Turn the the lights out on your way out Ally!

Rangers till I die? Dae they no mean Rangers till it dies. The great Celtic FC do not need Rangers or Sky TV money. Maybe we should let them keep the 40 grand they owe us as a going away present. CM

Spain - world champions , Spain - European champions , Champions league last four - two Spanish teams , Europa league last four - three Spanish teams . Do you think now the English media will put to bed that the EPL is the best league in the world.........DH

Believable19 Unbelievable4

Well said. But maybee it's Jackson and Traynor moonlighting.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree Man Utd were totally played of the park over 2 legs and Barca will destroy Chelsea although I have a wee sneaky feeling that Bayern can overcome Jose cheats and actors

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree, but the english will always claim they are the best. they still claim they are the best team in the world cause they won the world cup in 66.

Agree0 Disagree0

Scottish football in general should be studying the spanish methods. i think scottish footballers could adapt pretty naturally to their short passing style. it may sound stupid but the epl is a bit of a joke. their fans talk more about money etc than they do about the sport. foreign players know they only need one lucrative contract and their made. i used to watch man utd when sexton and atkinson were in charge. it was boring a lot of the time cos most visiting teams came for a point. now a lot of these teams have more money than they ever imagined, but no more fans, they might be a bit more adventurous but not much.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope Bayern Munich win it , they were robbed by Man United a few years ago

I have just had a quick look at the figures on the duff and phelps staement, the words creek and paddle come to mind. The amount of people that have been Duped by this football club is frightening , they should be held accountable for every penny that they owe and no way a deal should be struck to allow them to carry on.This is by no way only the work of craig whyte they have been fleecing people for years.

Forgetting the £126 million ASSETS stated in the D and P Report for a minute, I reckon that HMRC will agree to a 'cva'. If Rangers are being used as a test case, bearing in mind the so-called £19 BILLION outstanding tax in the EPL and Championship, HMRC would set a more dangerous precedent if they DIDN'T agree. What would stop all the English clubs from liquidating and leaving HMRC with nothing?

Agree0 Disagree0

What would stop them would be the new laws saying if a company comes back as a newco they can chase the new co for the Tax duties etc...

so as a rangers man im worried for my club!!

Can we keep this post for posterity, i am making this prediction (did it on the Rangers page first)
Here is a prediction and a question.
I predict that a CVA is agreed, an injection of cash into Rangers 1872, then Whyte refuses to sell his shares and the administrators are forced to sell the trade and assets out to Rangers 2012 Ltd. This will be sold in the press as all Whytes fault and a necessary step to eliminate his presence. The question is, will you then support that club, Rangers 2012, formed because Whyte wouldnt walk away? I think that would be an easy sell to the fans with headlines screaming from the DR.
Nevis

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Whyte would have to sell his shares first for a new party to come into the club and inject cash into it.

No-one will put money into the club unless they have purchased Whyte's shares first.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nope, not true Admin can agree CVA in old co, potential buyers can inject money to fund CVA and Admin can agree sale of trade and assets out of old co into new co and shares in new co can be sold to anyone or issued, craig whyte is left with a shell of a company with creditors paid off via the aforementioned CVA, its in the admin report and is frighteningly easy.

Surely the worst of it, from a rangers point of view, is that the 85% shareholding is still a big stumbling block they have explored and made a written request for these to be transferred. Unlikely to be placed into compulsory liquidation so creditors voluntary not mentioned.
Grim report but i do think the pay of insolvency practitioners needs reviewed, that is a staggering amount.

Ok im probably taking over the site the last hour or so lol. But have just sent the following to our friend Murdo Fraser -

Good Evening Sir.

You have probably been inundated with emails over the course of today after a letter has been made available supposedly written by yourself sent to Duff and Phelps the current Rangers Administrators.

Now I have a few questions about this letter. Which i believe if you are in reality a Rangers supporter in your private life i feel is actually a very good plea of sorts to the Administrators making a decent case to try and ensure a CVA.

Firstly I would like you to confirm if it is indeed a genuine letter or not?.

Secondly, I would like to know If it is genuine why has a letter stating personal opinion been sent using Scottish Parliament Footed paper?. In my opinion this is wholly inappropriate should this letter be genuine. For example, I currently work for the Care Inspectorate (SCSWIS), If i were to use Headed or Footed ******* paper to send a letter containing personal opinion and conjecture and associate these opinions whether salient or not with this organisation I would be dismissed from my post.

There are 2 things that Politics should be kept out of in my opinion one is sport and the other is Religion, and the same can be said for keeping religion out of sport but this is another issue entirely. So I ask If this is a letter penned (or typed) by your hand then why were you naive enough to do so whilst attaching some form of political clout to your letter? In your work life you are an MSP in your private life you are just another person no different from myself why have you (and again this is depending on whether this letter is genuine) made such an apparent abuse of power in sending this letter in your capacity as an MSP rather as a concerned supporter of a football club using your own equipment. This would not have irked myself and many others if this was the case, but your actions have in a round about way politicised the matter and this is sir is wholly inappropriate and abuse of the position you were given by the rest of the public.

If this is your letter then i feel you are in a position of very high regard and great importance and should always seek to act beyond reproach but this letter does not indicate a man in your position acting in this manner.

I would appreciate a response to this email. I feel i have not directly accused you of this being the case I have tried to make this point on the basis of IF it was yourself who wrote this letter. If it is a ruse then i hope the people who have tried to sully your name are suitably punished. But If it is a letter penned by yourself I sincerely hope you know what the correct action is to take.

I have attached a copy of said letter to this email.

Kind Regards

***** ********

Ed
just read D&P statement and it makes War & Peace look like the Beano.
have you ever in your life seen or heard a scandel in sport like it.
they have gone beyond shame with failure of payments to not only Football clubs through out Europe but the failure of payment to the ambulance services is morale repungent.
also HMRC had an agrement with them in November of last year and they failed to stick to the deal.this will now mean HMRC will not be interested in any CVA.
Liquidation is and will be there only way out.
And with scottish clubs in SPL being owed so much money by them i very much doubt the newco will be voted straight back into the SPL.

Agree with previous post, get yourself up to Kilburn or even down to Wimbledon. If you have to stay central, try O'Neills. Get the tube to Leicester Square, turn left when exiting station, through China Town and it is facing you, across from Kowloon Cake Shop. Two minute walk from tube, unless you're in high heels!!

Best option is www.celticbars.co.uk, plenty of Celtic minded bars and clubs and this will give you somewhere more local to whereever you are in London.

Ed some of these creditors are hilarious. Theey owe a face painting company £40! £40 !! why wouls that go unpaid? really?

Also owing 62k to the Hydro Electric! sorry but we wud be cut off for owing a bill less than a tenth of that! WTF!! And 8k To E.ON. So obviously they had to big a bill with Hydro and went to moneysupermarket and switched supplier lol.

Every trick in the book lol

Evinguu {Ed007's Note - I had to laugh at them owing Parks of Hamilton money, wasn't he touted as a potential saviour? All their screaming that Rapid had been paid all the Jelavic money (oh deary me Wattie) and even owing someone £18!!!! I might pay that one off for them just out of the kindness of my heart and to keep my conscience clear ;-) Anyone that can see anything positive out of this is deluded and is going to be sorely disappointed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive just seen the youtube vid, jeeze it looks bleaker than i thougt for them , looks like its the liquidizer for the manky.mob....derbycelt

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you'll find that the main culprit as far as the smaller debts and creditors are concerned, is a wee charlatan known as Mr C Whyte.
As for the Wattie comments, the Weiss and Jelavic payments were paid in instalments, the final ones weren't due until after Mr Whyte took over. Wattie had left the club. It was the same Mr Whyte who pushed RFC over the cliff by paying no one, not Wattie, Ally,or anyone else. So as much as i agree with the smaller businesses, and St John Ambulance posts, perhaps you can maybe explain the reasons for the recently elevated level of esteem that Mr Whyte is held in by some of your fellow supporters. Smacks of double standards. It cannot be logical in revering Mr Whyte on one hand, and then condeming RFC on the other. Mr Whyte is RFC. Perhaps you can enlighten your fellow supporters as to why Mr Whyte should not be so revered.

Believable13 Unbelievable1

How do you know its a lie maybe Rangers owe Rapid money due to a sell on fee the original purchase price may have been paid maybe Wattie was told it was paid maybe wattie is a liar no one knows sorry you nice but Dhims know everthing {Ed007's Note - Smith said there was no money owed, there was, that's a lie in anybody's book. Agree0 Disagree0

He didn't try to suggest there was nothing outstanding, he was crystal clear in saying that the purchase price had been paid in full and nothing further was owed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did Walter specifically pay this no he didn't so all that had to be done was to tell him it was paid n he would like any fan of any of there own team would believe its been paid so you don't know if he was telling lies or not

Apologies to all for my last posts atrocious spelling! lol

I was under the beleif that D&P had not had any contact with Rangers before administration. Now Page 14 rather dispels this entirely. We all knew these guys were there, but they had denied it previously. I suppose they could cos it was a different company, but still the same people. Massive stinking rat here.

Also this list of creditors, do you think they made the font type smaller than the rest of the doc on purpose to make it look like a smaller list than it actually is?

We are still dealing in if's here in terms of the overall debt, Big and wee Tax case. But a 134 million potential debt! im sorry but thats not CVA monies thats liquidation.

Also interesting to see the cost of 1 and a half months of admin = 1.2million (approx).does this now equal the amount of player wage cuts per month? We all thought these cuts were to cover the cost of admin, If i were a Rangers fan today i would really be pulling my head out the sand!

Marco1888 {Ed007's Note - No Marco not while they are under the protection of administration.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

The orcs even owe the newsagent £500.

Agree0 Disagree0

It depends when the debt became payable. If it was after the date of administration, the administrators have a duty to pay it and if they can't they have to declare the club insolvent and enter liquidation. If the debt if prior to the date of administration, there is nothing we can do at this time, but we will have a say as a creditor in how we wish it to be dealt with.

ED007, Evinguu are we surprised at this sort of letter, I suspect there has been more we do not know about, but as you both say an MSP writing on headed paper yet on a "private" matter to D & D, and
telling them which bid to accept, bit I liked was his "liquidation would jeopardise an institution known throughout the world" this Tim knows the big hoose is in trouble but never knew Bar L was so wide known throughout the world ha ha but it shows "ra peepil" are getting worried. Amazing how it's written in a personal capacity, yet it's on an official Scottish Parliament letterhead.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant remember any politicians in any great rush to help us pre wee fergus ( some form of recognition overdue for the wee man rename the north stand i think )
Again we hear a great institution but as usual for a sycophant politician he fails to recognise a great institution with a proud history of discrimination and should use his resources to serve the people that elected him and pay his wages not to plea for lost causes

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha timalloy (and Hello to you too) I cannot take credit for spotting it, that was someone else. Just wanted to use the word source on this page for once lol

Another thing that gets me, is surley parliamentary headed or footed paper would have a coat of arms or similar in the top corner aswell?

Also the copy i got isnt signed (havnt looked at Eds link) And it looks like it has been scanned when you look at the quality of the picture. So how would someone get a copy of an unsigned and probably as of the moment it was scanned unsent letter? A copy like this would have to have come from Murdo Fraser himself or from his PA/Secretary/Mistress (whatever MSP's call their aides these days) and that would be about it surley?

Theres to many unknowns about this particular letter. Like ive said if it is his real words and thoughts i think it is a fair enough point for a Rangers supporter to make. If its real his mistake is it should not be done in his ministerial capacity using the letterhead and as has been said is pretty serious misconduct. If i were to use Care Inspectorate headed paper to send a personal letter along these lines i would be sacked. Theres too many Ifs and buts about it which still makes me feel its most likley a fake. A very well done fake to cause an element of doubt though. But like i alluded too if it was a fake it would have been much more damming, like mentioning a PMQ session or saying he could try and coerce HMRC etc. Unless its someone of reasonable intelligence who has thought through a lot of pro/s and cons of the wording. So still doubt and like Ed says best to just ask the guy! I think i talked myself round from its real to its fake to its real again in that paragraph lol

Although how would us Bhoys react if he denied all knowledge of it? It would probably increase our scepticism lol

Evinguu

Evinguu {Ed007's Note - I have seen it Evinguu, like you I am not sure if it is genuine or not. There is only one way to find out, ask him.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Yeah i was thinking about doing that maybe when im home.

If it is real i think he has made a decent argument for a CVA to be fair, however it is a gross misuse of power if of course it is real. What got me thinking it was real is that if it was fake it would be a lot more incriminating than that cos if it isnt real them someone really has too much time on their hands. And i said leaning towards fake as surley an MSP wouldnt be so stupid to use Parliament footers on what is stated as a private opinion.

Evinguu {Ed007's Note - UEFA have been contacted regarding the matter.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Why should we be surprised by anything R#####s and their vile ilk ever do. Once again they have been proven to be Scotland's shame and will continue to be until they are removed completely from our society. Times have moved on and this hate-filled organisation have no place in a modern world. Their morals have been shown to belong to the lowest form of life and their arrogant demeanour has proven to be their eventual downfall. All I can say is that I am glad to have witnessed the long, drawn out and painful death of this despised club. They won't be missed and Scotland will be a better place without them polluting our lives. They have ripped off the man in the street, including their own fans, by not paying taxes, they have ripped off other clubs, police and ambulance services. LET THEM DIE......

Ed am I the only one who thinks getting rid of Ki in the summer would be a mistake? The boy hasreal class and will only get better.

I agree with some posts about trimming the squad but dont agree we should get rid of our key 15 or 16 first team regulars. Lets build not weaken cos no matter what happens over the city we have to qualify for the Champions League next year as there is nothing like Champions league nights are Parkhead just hearing the anthem makes the hairs on my neck stand up.

CeltStu {Ed007's Note - I don't think Ki is suited to the game in Scotland and the travelling involved when he is on international duty is causing problems. He will miss a lot of games in the future with WC qualifiers coming up.}
