Just been reading BBC Scotland Sport website reporting no football at Hampden from Nov 2013 for a year as the stadia is converted for Glasgow 2014. But there's loads of comments by Hampden Park Managing Director...Peter Dallas! Somebody please please confirm this guy is no relation to Hugh Dallas the shamed and sacked sectarian bigoted emails head of refereeing at the SFA/ Hampden.

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Not sure about this Joker. However Dallas son is also a ref and has started to be involved as 4th official for some games...

Who care's.
Tambhoy ( original )

Agree0 Disagree0

On what basis is Hugh Dallas a sectarian bigot?

TTG

Agree0 Disagree0

Sectarian bigoted emails.

Agree0 Disagree0

TTG

Nowhere does it say that Dallas is a sectarian or bigot. it does however, mention the type of e-mails that he sent. Please read the post properly, before throwing your 2 bobs worth in

Samson

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly mate, who cares? Far bigger issues out there to deal with, stop living in the past and move on CFC have moved on so should the faithful. We claim to be the best in the world, let's not show the same level of hate that the sevco fans show! We are a class above that! And so what it was a email, I'm pretty sure people have sent a lot worse.

Shugthetim82

Agree0 Disagree0

Samson be kind, two bob is a lot to ex bears like TTG (by the way what is it with ex bears and initials) two bob is more than his club is worth lol Timalloy
PS on the rumours linking Green with an NFL club, this ex referee has a building company surely you must have heard of it "The Dallas Cowboy builders" lol lol

Agree0 Disagree0

You seem to be the bigot what the fans did was assault a man refereeing a game of football he could have lost his eye grow up or go and watch ice hockey

Agree0 Disagree0

Ttg is a rangers fan. Why would you expect him to read and understand something before jumping in ? It's not the rangers way

congrats tae big fraser on his england call up wel overdue big man HH

gunniebhoy

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Long overdue IMHO, next time hopefully Hooperman will get the call too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye its about time he got the call, he is far better than the likes of, jack butland and rob green...forster should of been at the euros, he was ready then, after the season he had last year. What I do need to ask is..what does wee stirling offer that hooper doesn't? Apart from pace over 10-15 yards? The boy is a talent, but hooper has a all round game that's not being matched in the SPL...even some in EPL don't have his qualities, danny welbeck for one...another good player, but is he better than hooper? Zamora? Better than hooper? Don't think so, Roy get hooperman in your team, yous might get a few goals.

Shugthetim82

Agree0 Disagree0

Not bad big Fraser ,3rd choice keeper with no chance of getting a game while he plays in the SPL with shelick

Ed, quick question - how come there was no advertising on strips on Tues? stevo dundee {Ed007's Note - I would say alcohol advertising is banned, France in the same and it should be brought in world wide in football IMO.}

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Not the case Ed, it is because Heineken is the official CL sponsor so all other alcohol sponsors logos etc are banned in CL games.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok if Mike Ashley is commercially linked with Rangers then Celtic should not be doing business with him at all and he should not benefit from Celtic fans.
None of our products should be available in his shops.

Agree0 Disagree1

I think the reason for it is advertisement issues clashing with the CL, in our home game we had to cover up the Nike tick on the seats on the upper deck of the north stand.

Possible could be wrong but is a logically explanation.

Cumby Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers, just wondered as in Russia they still advertise cigarettes n assumed that alcohol not an issue. CL brand partners probably insist, cheers lads. Stevo dundee

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, "don't do business with any people commercially linked with Rangers", then look at Celtic's strip sponsor! If you have a replica shirt you are already advertising Tennants - who also sponsor Rangers, in case you hadn't noticed. Don't bother with that Coca cola stuff either, or Irn Bru for that matter (which would also include Barrs and all Britvic owned companies) - as all these companies also 'do business' with Rangers. Probably best avoid any casinos in the UK for the time being as well, as Stakis also have a stake in Rangers. I guess you could play video games instead? Of course - as long as it's not FIFA or Football Manager as both have struck independent deals with Rangers recently to secure their image rights for the new games. Don't bother with Honda cars either - i know they are only a small local company, but do they not handle some of the production for the European motoring industry too? I trust you will also be urging Celtic to abstain from the Scottish & League Cups as well? None of these companies deserve to benefit from Celtic fans. Thanks, Pete.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said pete...does no-one know the way sponsors work or how the comercial side of football is handled or run? We have shared the same sponsors with rangers for a good few years now, why didn't people have a problem with it when we signed the NTL sponsorship, that so happened to be the exact same sponsor rangers had on their shirt. All these things are forgotten quite easily by some, when it suits.

Went to get the new white top need 4 btw got them in Celtic shop £50 each then went to JDs and they are selling it for £40 why r Celtic ripping off there own

Believable9 Unbelievable4

There not is the short answer, JD are undercutting the official recommended price. For what its worth the extra £10 stays with the club whereas JD keep the profit itself, and that goes to a certain Mike Ashley owner of Newscastle and prospective investor in Sevco !

Agree0 Disagree1

Reply #1 is nonsense. Mike Ashley owns Sports Soccer also known as Sports Direct. He does not own JD Sports. In any case, if Celtic sell the tops at £40 they will increase sales with fans more willing to buy direct from the club rather than profiteering from the loyal fans. In these times of austerity the club, by their pricing policy, are depriving themselves of sales.

Agree0 Disagree0

If JD can sell at a profit Celtic are ripping us off

Agree0 Disagree0

£50 is a shocking price for a top, 125th anniversary or not, that price is a joke. and its £60 for the black tri-colour zip up. celtic need to catch themselves on, especially in these hard times for people. they can manufacture these tops for next to nothing

Agree0 Disagree0

Mike Ashley does not own JD Sports, he owns Sports Direct.

Agree0 Disagree0

I always go to the cheapest price (sadly never the club). Its all going into someones pocket, so might as well keep as much as i can in mine.

mb

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic sells the strips to jd, sports direct whatever, for normal rrp, JD would only sell these cheaper to attract customers in and on the off chance they buy something else. I know this as my mum use to work in the sales department at parkhead, its that simple really

Agree0 Disagree0

I buy every Celtic strip they bring out and everyone from the last 6 years has been bought at the megastore at CP. I couldn't care less as long as the money is going to the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

50 is a shocking price for a footie top...I mind the days when the were 30 and at most 40 pounds per top. If the money goes to the club fair ebough, but I think they should drop the price and more people would buy them, myself and my daughter being two of they people...right now I fork out money for two season tickets, away games and travel from west coast of scotland every week, to pay out 100 pound would mean I'd have to skip a couple of games to be able to buy them, but I'd much rather be there to support my team, but at the same time my daughter wants all the new tops, fair enough there only 35-40 pound for a junior, fare adds up though along with he scarfs, training tops etc all celtic fans should have the anniversary top, and I think celtic need to start helping the fans by reducing the price of the top. Time to look after your own CFC.

Are jd not shutting down? were i am the 2 stores have closed and were selling everything on the cheap. could be the reason

Celtic close to agreeing a new 3 year deal
With Gary Hooper worth 25k a week.
Also linked with a 7m move to Liverpool
But that's a no brainer and any
Approach come January will be simply rejected.
On a personal level how much points do
You think we,ll finish with?
Am going for at least 9, draw at cp v barca(5)
Spartak(3) at cp and at least a draw at benfica

Believable5 Unbelievable11

Anything against Barca is a bonus! but they usually drop points somewhere in the group stages so you never know!

I think 8 points will get us second place, a draw in Lisbon and a win at Celtic Park against Spartak could well be enough!

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see spartak coming to CP to prove a point but hopefully we can still beat them. A point against barca might be optimistic but if we manage to get it then I think that sets us up for a great finish to the group.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think 5 points, defeats to barca and benfica and a draw against Moscow.

Agree0 Disagree0

7-8 to points spartak are capable of beating us they showed against barca away and benfica are dangerous and barca will be very hard we cant afford any poor lapses of concentaration like the last game if we are going to get anything!
Donegal Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Barry the janny

my only hope is that we get more points than benfica and moscow ..... finishing 3rd is no disgrace either

Agree0 Disagree0

Also linked with a 7m move to Liverpool

----------------------------------------

dont think you have to worry about liverpool bidding £7 mill they havent got it thats why they couldnt get clint dempsey

Agree0 Disagree0

Hard to say where we will get points, but so far we have been holding our own so hope we can build on that.
Watching the CL highlights shows how high the standard is and it's brilliant to be part of the Elite of Europe however long it lasts. 2nd or 3rd place in this group would be an unbelievable achievement;
NL and the team have done us proud and their record from the first qualifier is terrific and the confidence is growing.
'Just can't get enough'

Jungle Jim

Agree0 Disagree0

We could get 7 which should guarantee European footy post Xmas. Im hoping that Benfica and Spartak draw both games in the double header, will leave us still in second even (and likely) if we get 0 from Barca double header.

I would just like to give some respect to wee Gordon Strachan. He is always defending the hoops on Sly sports. Sick and tired listening to so called experts even tried to take the shine off what was a magnificent and historic result, the wee man sung the praises and blanked him. To score 3 goals against anyone away from home regardless of who is in the team is fantastic. If that was Chelsea it Man U they would be crowing about it. You can only beat the team in front if you.

Believable27 Unbelievable1

Hail, Hail, the Cpper Top

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on mate credit to gordon stachan he does it all the time...col

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye. I'd like to see WGS coming along side Lenny to guide us through to the CL final!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah he is always sticking up for us on the itv highlights show. he was even looking to know why we werent on first lol. i think i like him more now than when he was our manager

Agree0 Disagree0

To those who came out with all the crap about GS not being a Celtic man,his comments are usually spot on,big thanks to weegs

Agree0 Disagree0

He tells it the way it is. A breath of fresh air to the usaul English praising muppets on the telly. Wasn't keen on his playing style when he was our manager but respect what he did for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes hat's off to Wee Gordon . He is a good man

Agree0 Disagree0

Strachan is our most accomplished manager of the modern era (SPL and last 25 years). A better record than Martin O'N.
The stick he took on leaving was unjustified. He's a Celtic man and a great friend of the club. Well done Gordon, your reputation grows.

Agree0 Disagree0

By the end of his tenure WGS divided opinion amongst so many Celtic fans, and he did have his hard times but I for one always said, he won't be truly appreciated until he has left. Some of my best memories were with his teams...

Naka's freekick vs Man Utd at Parkhead, then followed by the Holy Ghoalie's pen save... what an atmosphere that night...

The game vs Spartak at Parkhead that we won on pens (what a game that was)

Beating Benfica 3-0 (Shaun Maloney had the game of his life)

Donati's last min goal Vs Shaktar (everyone was flying after that)

Not to mention the 2 victories in a week vs the Old co, after we were deemed out of it, to come back and win the league.

Naka's swerving volley and Big JVH's last min winner...

I'll never forget these games as long as I live...

Agree0 Disagree0

Wgs was a great celtic manager end of
