I would take him if the price was right! Dembele was the only recognised striker in the squad yesterday.

Good player who I would always have said yes to signing but do we need him? We only play one striker and have two good ones fighting for the position.

The right price for Jonathon Rhodes would be -£3m.

Is he related to Gary, Old Bhoy? I think Boro giving us £3m is a tad harsh on the lad. I'd rather him back up and competition than Ciftci, but would he be happy with that? For me, we can do better anyway.

I'd take him in a heart beat same as I said about ss when people had doubts.

{Ed007's Note - Rhodes would be a fantastic signing as a squad player for us}

Agreed hh.

Agree with Old Bhoy, Jonathon Rhodes would be a disaster, however, Jordan would be a decent buy. lol.

Should have added, there is a rumour doing the rounds that Griff wants away as he's not getting enough game time. so the link makes sense if Griff rumour is true.

See he has also been linked with Hull.

Think the weekend shows that we need more than two good strikers in the team.

Agree with ed. Fantastic for a squad player. But that would be the issue. He would want to much as a squad player and we should be keeping the pennies for 1st team picks imo.

Why did the weekend show that we need two strikers .
I thought all our goals were created and scored by midfield players, I cannot remember Dembele scoring or creating any goals, why would two do any better .
Maybe another midfielder would have got another goal or two.

One of the Sunday's reporting Real in for the Moose but would loan him back to continue his development!

I know both he and Rodgers have said he is going nowhere but if true that would be hard for the bhoy to turn down!

We will soon break him down, between an unnamed Sunday newspaper and someone foolish enough to read it .
Every week he and Celtic say he is going no where . Every week the MSSM and some poster reckon he is.

Old Bhot, such wit, bet you are a hoot at parties. Here's me thinking it was a rumour site! Let's hope Moussa doesn't rad my post in case I force him out of Parkhead.

Get a life!

PS old bhoy I don't think he is leaving, just highlighting that for a YOUNG BHOY. who has Zidane as one of his heroes that an approach from Real would be difficult to turn down.

No more posts back to reading the Sunday papers.

I think if you think he'd be interested in going to real, you don't undetstand why he came to Celtic.

Guys i have to agree i'm afraid. For me, and i stress the FOR ME. If your a pro football player its Barcelona or real where u want to be. Feck everywhere else. So with that. If Real wanted him, and then loaned back it definitely would be to hrd for him and us to refuse.

I must admit, I feel sorry for those who think Dembele will be gone in January or summer, unless he thinks the fans don't want him .
Dembele had his choice of top clubs last summer, the fact that he chose Celtic and that it has worked out far better than he could ever have dream't means that he isn't going to risk moving and his career going balls up .
The original panty wetters can get their knickers in a twist but please don't create nonsense.

Just reading an article in the Herald, where BR talks about DD and January signings. What is clear from the article is BR has a direct line to DD and is also picking his own players, just as it was under MON.

Surely M O' N wasn't responsible for most of the players signed in the Second half of his reign . I don't think Martin would want reminded of that.

I'm sure he was responsible, was just on a low budget because of the debt we got into obtaining our goals.
