Why does it matter what BBC says about our transfers?

Pls man Chris what is the point of that comment?

Old man Chris it matters because it’s a rumour, just like this page is designed for.

Old man Chris, reporting a transfer isn’t a crime. Rich T is only reporting what he heard. BBC are persons like the Daily Record, but who cares. It’s a rumours page.

Keep posting the rumours rich T,

That’s what’s wrong with this forum sometimes. People post a rumour and get shot down for it. Is this not a roumors site? Get a grip Chris.

Old man Chris. who pisses in your cornflakes on a daily basis?

Agree3 Disagree0

05 Aug 2018 23:20:35
He's only saying the BBC are untrustworthy, what's wrong with that? They are.

It’s the way it was said Stephboy.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Aug 2018 09:01:46
He didn’t say they were untrustworthy. If he had explained that then fair enough. He just shot the OP down with no reason.

Ach he's an eld grumpy git, yous must be used to him by now 😂😂.

seems arzanie deal is pretty mutch done, not a br sighning for sure.

Why would it not be a BR signing?

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2018 21:41:57
Absolute nonsense.

04 Aug 2018 22:39:57
Whats city payin.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - £280k I think it is.}

04 Aug 2018 22:46:22
Cheers Ed so all going well we wouldn't be talking a world shattering fee for the Boy what call back options will City have given the suggested option to buy at the end for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - They sold Aaron Mooy to Huddersfield for £8 million and a possible £10 million, obviously it won't be at that kind of level but I'll take a guess that it'll be over £3 milllion anyway, which actually could end up being a bargain if the kid kicks on as expected.}

04 Aug 2018 22:56:39
You reckon this will finally end any chance of us signing Roberts Ed or was that unlikely anyway?

Just noticed Rodgers saying although he hadn’t considered it, if he’s still at city when the English window closed it would give us a huge advantage.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I think Paddy might be a little surprised and disappointed at the level of teams showing interest in him.We know he is very confident in his own ability and probably doesn't fancy a Pub League relegation fight or even worse playing in the Championship.}

04 Aug 2018 22:59:27
Takes me back to my cheating championship Manager days when you sign the players on free transfers for nothing and sell them for millions only difference being we are relying on someone else to be the honey Trap. The way the clocks cultured is shaping up there is no reason why the lad if he was worth it won't stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2018 23:17:11
Wouldn’t read too much into the fee City are paying for Arzani. Same owners so doesn’t exactly mean a great deal in terms of cash changing hands and might have been low on purpose to ensure City comply with FFP rules.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Wouldn't it be a more expensive fee to comply with FFP? £5 million would make it easier to meet the FFP Regs, City need to justify spending not income.}

05 Aug 2018 00:18:18
After last season I can fully understand why the interest in Paddy is so low
At. his age he must be playing regularly to get notice and for clubs to pay decent money.

I was talking about the £280k City are paying Melbourne. He’s worth a lot more than that.

Hayes?!?

Surely not - Johnston is a better bet.

04 Aug 2018 14:21:31
Good chance Hayes is LB kev t.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Left wing-back in a 3-4-2-1, Kev.}

04 Aug 2018 14:24:25
Hopefully Johnston will get a decent run out in the second half.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2018 14:27:20
Who's the second striker ed?
I'd still say Hayes is better suited to wing back than Johnstone.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It'll be Rogic and McGregor in behind Edouard.}

04 Aug 2018 14:32:29
Sorry never read that right. Only 1 upfront.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - No probs, Kev.}

04 Aug 2018 14:47:15
Ah ok lads, assumed McGregor would have played there

Suppose that’s all we have to cover that position.

We are apparently looking at Scott mckenna. Not sure what to think about this one myself.

04 Aug 2018 10:17:34
I thought he looked a good player last season, done well for Scotland but showed up badly against Burnley the other night and vastly over priced by Aberdeen so i’d be surprised if we sign him .

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Aug 2018 10:29:30
I’d have probably taken him over Hendry at the time but not sure about now. Boyata and Ajer plus one of McKenna or Hendry would give us an incredibly inexperienced defence.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Aug 2018 10:45:31
I’d have McKenna at celtic if the price was right. Still think we need better tho.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2018 10:49:21
Some Celtic fans will want to burn the board at the stake if we sign him.
Hendry is a better player and they don't want him.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2018 10:57:45
It’s a fair point though kev. We would be as well using biting at CB.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2018 11:06:21
Wins his share of headers, brave and a natural left footer. Also came up the hard way. If the cash is right take him.

More than likely an unsettling tactic from smsm for the visit of the sevvies to pittodrie tomorrow.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Aug 2018 11:49:49
Dasa could be on to something there. I think he's a solid enough player would rather we signed him over Hendry.

Agree0 Disagree1

04 Aug 2018 11:51:02
Bang on Dasa they will do anything to help that mob.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2018 12:37:15
Dasa I think could be bang on. I'd take him but we need experience in there as well.

Read nothing but the board getting hammered for not bringing in CL players and now McKenna is a popular shout? I'm outtie.

Agree1 Disagree0

We hear the same story from the board every season regarding transfers that it’s quality over quantity and that quality is hard to find.
My opinion of the board has been us the fans have been short changed when it comes to our transfer dealings.
It’s the same every season we wait till the last minute to sign anyone, why can’t we sign players early and bed them in to pre-season so they are ready for the start of the season.

I know it is not always easy to get players in early with players going on holiday etc, but surely we target players from jan to the next transfer window, but the way we do our business seems to me we are bargain hunting and just trying to get players on the cheap instead of going for any real targets.
It just frustrates me as a fan cause we have the making of a good team, but just need that extra bit of quality in defence that could make a huge difference in Europe.
We must have most the champions league money still in the bank as when you tally up what we have spent and what we have brought in on player sales their is only a difference of a couple of mill.
Yes the board deserve credit for a lot of things they have done right, but also deserve to be criticised for not being ambitious enough.

I’m sorry but McKenna from the games I’ve seen him play has been nothing more than an average player. If we are going to be bringing in a CB (if someone leaves) . I’d expect better quality.
