gossip galore on the train back from the game today.

was there something said in a press conference, or by mccoist this morning?

i've heard that at least 4 players (current) contracts are being declared as illegal, and as such, any points gained when they have played will be deducted. i always thought this was dodgy, when i posted a while back about it being 3rd party ownership, it was done so that these players cannot be classed as rangers assets, therefore, if they were sold, money would go to whyte instead of rangers.

also heard that ogilvie is heavily implicated in this, AND the seperate contracts given during the EBT's, which as i stated before, were still being used up until the end of 2010.

another bit of a shady rumour, this time from an aberdeen fan, is that there are currently 2 former referees being investigated after documents were unearthed at ibrox by strathclyde police. the only thing i can think of is backhanders.

craig whyte has probably opened the biggest can of worms EVER!

taco {Ed007's Note - I mentioned the 3rd party ownership thing elsewhere Taco.}

Believable14 Unbelievable1

That's right Ed, it was with myself a while back. but we thought it wouldn't be an issue, as the other company is connected to rangers. but it turns out that the only thing that connects the two are the name rangers, there is no financial securities or liabilities on the 2nd company, therefore meaning it's basically craig whyte that owns the players contracts and not rangers

taco {Ed007's Note - No Taco, I was talking to someone earlier today about it and then answered a post earlier about this points deduction.}

Agree0 Disagree0

No worries Ed, i see it now.

definitely looks like a sion situation, and the fact ogilvie is involved makes it an even bigger embarassment for the sfa

taco {Ed007's Note - I said months ago that Ogilvie must have questions to answer, his position at Rangers suggests he was involved in any wrong doing at the club.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Honestly...if the investigations by the police, sfa, and spl are handled fairly and without any cover ups, this will blow up in so many peoples faces.

there's going to be allegations of corruption and fraud at the highest levels.....people are going to get seriously f@cked when it all comes out in the wash

taco {Ed007's Note - It will make Jim Farry look like a naughty schoolboy Taco.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Could this be bad news for us as well though?

If sh-t hits the fan regarding suits in the SFA and SPL, surely that deems them untrustworthy and corrupt?

If the governing body are declared corrupt, could UEFA withdraw Scotland's CL and EL places, with heavy sanctions for direct participants in any underhanded dealings (i.e. Rangers if true).

And if that was to happen, how much planning was involved by the Whyte and other "in the know" directors of Rangers about leading Scottish football to these consequences. I.e., would there be an element of "if we're going down, you're all coming with us?" such that the gap between Celtic and any other clubs that might flourish with Rangers' demise would be considerably smaller with no (potential of) European money.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would seriously doubt UEFA would place sanctions on the member clubs. more likely the sfa will deal with them like farry, in other words, be seen to be doing something.
it would be wrong, and unjust for UEFA to punish clubs that played no part in this.

i believe whyte has no clue as to what's going on regarding this, other than the fact he was brought in by murray to ride out administration. obviously, that plan has failed spectacularly, and now his own little scheme is being unravelled.

there are so many seperate issues, involving so many different people connected to rangers, but one man is central to everything that has come out...david murray. whyte's just a fly-by-night chancer, with a brass neck and balls of steel....DM is a knight of the realm!

Agree0 Disagree0

The thing is though UEFA already threatened to ban all Swiss clubs from European competitions over the Sion case. That was a club deemed corrupt, and UEFA threatened club expulsion. If the governing body is deemed corrupt, surely that's even worse?

In the end the Swiss FA decided to punish Sion accordingly and thus preserve Basel's place in Europe and return everything to normal as regards Swiss clubs in Europe for the forseeable future.

But who punishes the football association if it's them who are corrupt? And what can really be done by a association besides a lengthy enquiry and sacking of those involved? FIFA and UEFA are the two who'd be concerned with this, and the associations need to adhere by their regulations. Punishment could mean a fine, a ban or expulsion from the association; the latter meaning we lose the European places and our international qualification places.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think we would have much to worry about.What might happen is UEFA call for a clear out and re-election of all the relevant posts vacated by the guilty parties.You never know it might even help us to start in england at some level! now that would be ironic..........green jhedi

Rumour on the Celtic hub website saying they are being docked 50 points next week due to the two contract issue. Don't know how accurate it is but just thought I'd share it.

Hail hail {Ed007's Note - Is it not over 3rd party ownership of players' contracts?}

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Ed I don't think it's over 3'rd party ownership. I think it's to do with the second contract given to players where they weren't paying the tax. This part of the contract wasn't registered with the spl which is against the rules. Not sure if this is the same thing you're talking about.

Hail hail {Ed007's Note - I was talking to someone earlier today and there are rumours that the new contracts McGregor, Davis etc signed are with a company owned by Craig Whyte and not specific to Rangers, this is classed as 3rd party ownership and would (should) lead to further points deductions if proven correct.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see agents and solicitors for these players allowing them to sign for one of Craig Whyte's companies rather than Rangers. {Ed007's Note - Is this the same agents and solicitors that allowed players to have two separate contracts, allowed players to participate in EBT schemes knowing (if it is to be believed) that they were actual payments and not loans from an EBT scheme? It's all about the Benjamins mate.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair point Ed.

Arite bhoys and ghirls after today's results are we still able to win the league at ibrokes?
Hobbybhoy {Ed007's Note - Rangers must WIN against Dundee United or we can win it at Ibrox.}

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Think it would also need for Motherwell to drop points at any of the following ganes v aberdeen 17th or killie on the 24th Ed as mathimatically they could still catch us in the league . so it would need Dundee utd to beat rangers and killie or aberdeen to take any points off motherwell for us to win the league on the 25th .i know Motherwell aint going to catch us im just pointing it out and the press will jump on this to say we cant win the league on the 25th

however being honest i dont see the game on the 25th even taking place i really dont think they can avoid liquidation before that date

Lubo25

Either way ed we`re still gonny win the league, you really must believe us,you really must believe us,you really must believe us,, we`re gonny win the league.hail hail,just can`t get enough,kb-bhoy

Hi Ed how's it going? Makes me laugh that Rangers fans are saying the referees are corrupt and cheating and always giving decisions against them lol. They not remember last season. {Ed007's Note - Referees are not cheats, corrupt or bias, they are just shockingly poor.}

Believable4 Unbelievable2

That's what happens when you can't afford to pay your staff. They turn against you! Lol

not at our best today but have to give aberdeen some credit and the unbeaten runs goes on .Lenny was unhappy and thats a good thing as the players will be told this and im sure the message will get across to them.however not one player can be faulted for the 21 games unbeaten and we cant forget that

Thought it a bit strange to give debuts to the new boys at full back away from home in what would be a hard game but in saying that the whole team just didnt get going.Is it still possible for Celtic to win the league at ibrokes?

Believable8 Unbelievable5

It,ll all be over before then mate.that game aint happening.artybhoy

second half was very poor , lustig and blackman ??????? i'd go with mathews and izaguirre . but i suppose we have to give the new guys a chance ,billybhoy

Believable5 Unbelievable2

I agree billybhoy...have to give them a chance ! Fair play to Aberdeen & Craig Brown as well Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

Lustig looked quite athletic although not as attacking minded as some of our right backs.
Blackman got caught out of position a few times but unlucky for og.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did Blackman not have a decent game bar the og?? Looked quite quick imo

Draw just about right? long time since we carried so many passengers,hoops,stokes no service,forrest poor,full backs need more time i thought.lots of soft fouls from thomson.big players rested and should be fresh though. onward and upwards..HH..........green jhedi

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Thought hooper was well off the pace today,but he's been immense for us so many times before.sunday mail probably have a cracked crest in it tomorrow,lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Hooper had a shocker first touch terrible,young jamsie looks as though he could do with a rest, commons better of without him and giving 2 new full backs debuts at a tricky away game seemed strange to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

But other than that in Lenny we trust?lol. Hoops needs a rest other than that the changes were needed because so many players away on international duty. Gained a point on them with half a team against the form side in the league Hail Hail

Agree0 Disagree0

Only saw the last half hour or so but from what I saw I have to say I was very disappointed.

Hooper and Stokes were terrible all round - no first touch, poor linkup play and looked disinterested. Commons needs to sort his game out big time or find the nearest exit in the summer - Lennon's been giving him a shot of and he's been the worst player on the park more often than not. The midfield wasn't good enough at picking up the loose ball and Arneson, Fyvie and co. had a field day punting it forward.

Lustig looked lightweight but in fairness the weather didn't help him.

Not going to worry too much though - we were missing key players and we've been long overdue an off-day...may as well come with several players out. To be fair to Aberdeen from what I saw they deserved their point and had some good performances in the middle of the park. We looked tired and lacked creativity. We'll need to be better to beat Dundee United at Tannadice.

what has happend to the nigerian bhoy we signed .is he injured or just not match sharp yet.he was meant to be vey skillfull and direct , thought we might have played him by now cause we are so far in front .anyone any ideas

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Generally neil keeps new young players he signs stay in the youth squad for a couple months, just so they adapt to Scotland first before he puts them in the first team...he done the same with wanyama
