Not been on in ages. How you all keeping? Just popping in because my dad was talking to a guy he knows, who knows a friend of Bradford's James Hanson. He said Nahki Wells will be at Celtic by the end of the month. I know this sounds like 1 of those, I know a guy who delivers post to so and so's milkman type rumours, but even when I used to come on Here before I never posted my own rumours because I didn't have any plausible. Anyway, hope it's true. Can't see us paying the £3m that city have valued him at though

Believable14 Unbelievable15

Can't say I think he'd make us a lot better. Good player but I'm not convinced he's what we're looking for.

Yeah your right it does sound like one of them rumours lol.
Id take him in a minute considering what we have (so anybody for that sake).
Good player, better than what we have, and don't think that would be the price tag? Supporters aren't going to be happy one way or the other until current/new players are doing the business on the pitch, after that the price tags don't matter!
Free (on heafty wages) or 6mil (on heafty wages) there is a gamble!
1.8mil on a project and 2.2mil on a guy who plays beside a guy we don't have,,, then that's another gamble altogether.
Some players are better suited to certain teams!
Sorry, so back to Wells, good player and pace to burn.

Agree0 Disagree0

You're bang right. You just have to look at some of the players that have gone to the epl and flopped but were brilliant elsewhere. Shevchenko, Veron, and Forlan to just name a few. Always a gamble

Neil Lennon has said Celtic can afford to pay £6M for one player and that he aims to bring in quality in the January transfer window. Lennon also noted that decisions on trialists Hiroki Yamada and Tshutshu Tshakasua will be made in the coming days.

Believable3 Unbelievable5

Name: Tshutshu Tshakasua
Position: Forward
Date of birth (age): 15/05/1997 (16)
Country: Sweden

We need a goalscorer NOW, so we have a 16 year old on trial. Really?!

Agree1 Disagree3

Lennon clearly stated we can afford to spend. 6m on a player! I wouldn't say no to fletcher for 6m but surely we should be buying finbogasson? I'd give my left ball to sign this Bhoy!

Agree3 Disagree0

If he's said we can spend that on 1 player then he must be seriously confident he's getting someone because he will get slaughtered by the fans if it doesn't happen now

GunnieBhoy

Agree1 Disagree0

Exactly mate he will look like a right dick if we don't sign someone decent

Agree0 Disagree0

We were assured we would be buying 4 million pound players when the season tickets were up for renewal last May but we ended up with Balde and Pukki. Lennon needs to think before he opens his mouth as he is just giving us all false hopes. There will be no Fletcher or Finbogason or any other 6 million pound player brought in either now or in the summer.

Agree2 Disagree0

Niall u r spot on. We will never spend that sort of money on 1 player. If u watch NL interview what he said was most clubs in Britain would like Fletcher in there squad including him but the player was too expensive so it's not going to happen. After the Game on New Year's Day he also said the club were not looking at any Dundee utd players or Leigh Griffiths.

Hearing that we are looking to do a double signing from Red Bull Salzburg of midfielder Valon Berisha and striker Jonathan Soriano.
Figure I heard was £6M for both, sounded cheap to me but would love it if this came off.

Believable6 Unbelievable17

Has Soriano not been out injured for a couple of months?,,,, deep river bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye, he's not played since Standard Liege in October!

Lee Tomlin will complete his move late this month

Believable11 Unbelievable23

Hope not, midfielders at Dundee Utd we be linked with better than him. Chris30

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think so, another player we don't need.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope not, I still can't understand why we made a move 4 this guy in the summer either. His goal scoring record isn't exactly great and what footage I have seen of him he's not even as good a player as Tony Watt (I don't rate Watt either). I would rather see the young guy Atajic or Balde get a run in the team than see us waste money.

Back of the daily ranger tomorrow supposedly going 2 bid 6m for steven fletcher

Believable10 Unbelievable26

Think he is a great striker and would do well for us but taking his injuries in to mind I'd rather bid 6 million for finnbogasson but let's face it we are getting no 6 million signing hope am wrong though.

There is no way we will go in for a player that we could of got. it would be a slap in the face of the board and they wouldn't swallow it i'm afraid. rglen8

Be fair to Celtic. Hibs are on record saying that irrespective of our offer they would not have sold to Celtic. Would prefer him to Griffith as he doesn't have the baggage that Griffith has.

WE urgently need a lift as we are in danger of losing soon.

Sunny Jim.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt this will happen.Fee and wages too high and he's injury prone.

Agree0 Disagree0

MM67 - The only way we would get fletcher would be if the board are going to cash in on forster for maybe £10 mil or so. Could see them maybe making a big money signing if only to appease fans who are fed up with us losing our big players.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's rated a 4mil apparently.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't see Sunderland accepting 4m for a player they paid 14m for 2 years ago. He is everything Peter Lawell is against - commands a big transfer fee, on a big salary, injury prone and at 27 we couldn't keep him for a few years and then try and sell on at a profit when he is 30! There is better value for money out there. We go through this every transfer window the days of 6m signings r over. 3m is breaking the bank to us these days.
