According to news reports Craig Gordon is set to make his comeback from injury against Dundee tomorrow night as Scott Bain can't play against his parent club , that must surely signal the end of the road for Dorus De Vries .

Boyata starting again tonight with Ajer this time on the bench. Thought after he was taken off in the last game that was it for him. Can't believe he is staring again.

I hope Tom rogic has an absolute cracking world cup. If his price goes up all the better. Di just don't get why so many celtic cream themselves over him. He's garbage defensively and only good for 60 mins. I like give Christie a go. If am reading the mcclean might be coming. Oh I hope so what a signing that be.

Don't get me wrong rogic is good but he lacks something pace and I don't think his hearts truly here. If he wants to move on let him and I hope it's to a good club that play decent money. I don't any player who thinks they are bigger or better than they be. I saw larsson, Lennon, lambert, Petrov give 100% every time they walked on park. I want that desire when you pull on hoops.

Rogic is a wonderful football player. He’s technically sublime. If he could also defend and had scorching pace and all the rest he wouldn’t be playing in Scotland.

Never knew a number 10 was known for their defending.

According to Seymourgames poor Rogic has an aweful lot of faults and weaknesses yet he thinks he is good .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - The only thing anyone can fault Rogic for is his ability to stay fit. We would struggle to keep hold of a consistently fit Rogic.}

04 Apr 2018 12:53:49
I don't know how somebody can 'cream' over James McClean.

How many times has Rogic pulled us out of a hole?
Maybe you have forgotten about the last minute winners or goals that have pulled us back into the game, does that not show you desire or do you show more desire if you just run about like a headless chicken for 90 minutes he is also in my opinion the most skilful player we have in the squad.

He may not have the speed of Sinclair, Forrest or Roberts but his close control is second to none. Just as his goal at the weekend showed.
As Stephenm mentioned also, how many other number 10's do you see doing a lot of defending. If he goes in the summer, I hope young Musonda is as good as everyone seems to think as he will have huge boots to fill.
Here is a wee video with just a couple of his last minute winners

Two rumours that have been brought up are Mulumbu from Kilmarnock and McLean from West Brom (again) . ED's what's your thoughts on these rumours at the current stage.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I can't think of one single reason why we would we be interested in 31-year-old Mulumbu, a deal for McClean is a lot more likely.}

03 Apr 2018 11:44:37
My thoughts exactly ED got enough quality in the middle of the park as it is, do you think any sort of deal will materialise for McLean?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I think it'll depend on the fee WBA will ask for, relegation for them will definitely help us and there might even be a clause in McClean's contract that covers that. Remember he is also going into the last year of his contract at The Hawthorns as well.}

03 Apr 2018 12:08:23
Where are you on Mclean ED? I posted earlier no for me, for various reasons.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's a no-brainer for me. McClean would be a step up from Jonny Hayes so there right away he'd improve us and give us a different option on the left. He's better defensively than Sinclair and will track back a lot more, he's a better tackler than Sinclair and has a better engine. A couple of seasons ago he was one of the fastest players in the EPL even beating the likes of Hazard some weeks with his top speeds during games. The fact he's a supporter is just a bonus, you know he'll go that extra mile for the Club.
If certain low-life scumbags have a problem with McClean signing for Celtic because of his politics then it's their problem, McClean and his family will just do what they normally do and ignore them and the Club will deal with any security requirements.}

03 Apr 2018 14:33:26
If, and it's a big if, we could be sure off field matters would be taken care of then yes. But can you guarantee it? he would be a tidy addition that's a cert. As i said earlier the boy would shed blood for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's all water off a duck's back to McClean and his family, do you really think that the player would turn down a move to Celtic because of other people's bigotry? Only last month he said:

"It's always been a dream of mine. If I retire from football and never get to pull on the green-and-white jersey and run out at Celtic Park, it will be a massive regret for me. It’s a dream I have never shied away from expressing. If that dream did come true, which I hope it does, it would mean a lot to me and fingers crossed it can happen.}

03 Apr 2018 16:16:27
Never doubted he would face it up, as i say this boy has steel goolies, and with the support of his family it might be okay. Always nice to see a dream come true for a proper Celtic fan.

Of course the sad fact of this is the shocking neglect of our fan base in Ireland going back twenty-thirty years. Sheedy, Keane etc all Celtic fans who were let slip.

Is there any genuine interest from Celtic ED?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - There does seem to be, Ken.}

03 Apr 2018 18:41:45
I know he is a Celtic fan but James McClean isn’t any better than what we have and will not get a minutes peace if he comes up here, would rather spend the money on Paddy tbh .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - So you don't think McClean's better than Jonny Hayes?}

03 Apr 2018 19:41:54
He is better than Hayes, but not better than Sinclair, Forrest or Paddy imo, Hayes is a squad player when the others are fit, James McClean is a decent player but nothing overly special, i’d rather we spent £7m on Paddy than £5m on McClean .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Well if he's better than Hayes he's better that what we've got.}

03 Apr 2018 20:39:43
The fact mcclean can also help out at left back means he would get game time. He would play in goals if he could. The fight he gives when he plays for Ireland is unreal. He would give his all for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I think some people under estimate McClean as a player.}

04 Apr 2018 00:04:54
Players with ability who have a love for Celtic should be a good buy . McClean even better still as he is at the top or maybe just over the top peak of his career .
He would also add a little excitement to the fans from the Northern half of Ireland.
Captain Brown wouldn't have to teach him the history of Celtic.

brown doesn't know the history of celtic chris he's a currant bun lol.

James Mclean? Rumour doing the rounds that he is a target. No doubt the boy would walk here in his bare feet, but for his own sake stay away son.

I realise the boy would not flinch, balls of steel that young man, but his and his family would be under enormous pressure. Why? I think we all know the 'greatest wee country in the world' is still riddled with anti Irish dissenters that's why. And if you think he would not be targeted by plenty then i admire your optimism.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

03 Apr 2018 11:03:20
I can't see him being a target.
Look at the amount of attacking minded mids we are going to have on our books by the end on the season.
Rogic
Armstrong
McGregor
Young Charlie fae Chelsea
Hayes
Sinclaire
Forrest
Christie
Morgan
Benyu
And every Celtic fan wants to see Roberts signed up permanently tae.

Why give in to the hating cretins get him up to CP.

03 Apr 2018 12:07:22
it's not giving in Stan, more common sense. Would run till he bled for us but too much off field stuff for him and a young family.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2018 13:34:39
We can't allow the bigoted cretins to dictate who we can/ can't sign mate. If it winds that lot up so much that they are crying into their coco pops that is a bonus. I'd have 11 Macleans. Sometimes a club is as good a fit for the player as the player is for the club and players like Maclean would thrive at CP.
