anything in the reported arsenal bid of 12m for big vic?
gally

Believable10 Unbelievable10

Nice opening bid but falls a bit short. We are in the driving seat. Bring it on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im liking vics comments about staying for another year. No time wasters please if your in the champ lg and willing to pay top dollar then step up otherwise see you next year. mark

Agree0 Disagree0

I would take 12m to be honest

12 million up front and a 20% sell on clause would be excellent bit of business. I'd love to see us get the upwards of 20 mill straight up but can't see it happening. I think that we would have a different type of midfield with Ledley in there instead of Vic but I think it would be more than adequate and the revenue (if invested in the team) would allow us to bring in CENT

Agree1 Disagree0

Nope nope nope, let's bank the money, be it 10million or more.
How often do we get the chance to sell a player for that much money, not very often. That amount could be spent on defence and midfield (2 decent players around 3or4 million each)
What happens if he has a bad season, gets injured or decides that he will just run his contract down and leave on a free?
Its the same problem with Hooper, could have had 6/7 million in january, but no we waited and now its lucky if we get over 4mill for him, now he can wait till jan, sign up to somebody else on a big contract and signing on fee and we will get nothing or peanuts if the club want him then

Just a question to you hoops fans, we have been linked to McCourt he's he good or not Mr. C Sheffield

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes he is good and you would do well to get him. Sopotcelt.

Agree1 Disagree0

£12m? Insultingly low bid, if Arsenal want him then pay top dollar. We don't need to sell and he has intimated he would like to stay. Why would he choose to go to them anyway, not won a trophy in a long time

Agree0 Disagree0

He would go to Arsenal to play in a proper league. Arsenal will not pay anymore than ten million for him as he has not proved his worth in a season at a big club. For 12 million you will get a top midfielder.
Sorry Celtic until you get into a proper league no-one outside of Scotland will take you seriously. ( ps I know you will talk about beating Barcelona.
They had already won their group and the result didn't matter.

I think this balde boy is just who we need he is full of confidence and said when I come to celtic after some games the celtic fans will be saying Gary who? I am better than any forward at celtic, and will become one of the best strikers in Europe at celtic, this is the kind of arrogance we need boy full of confidence and I think he would gave the other strikers a big push to improving also. Hail hail Ghreenbhoy1888

Believable17 Unbelievable7

Bangura had that same confidence, and look were he ended up. enough said

Agree0 Disagree0

He reminds me of Balotelli with those comments but at least he would bring a bit of character
Kevbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I watched a video of him on youtube, and he looked pure s****. He has no ball control what so ever, he is fast and a stronger header of the ball, but technically he looks awful.

Quack

Agree0 Disagree0

Now Liza Minnelli she is more confident than any of them. Can you imagine going on stage with a fizzog like hers. Respect. Sopotcelt.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he's just what we need upfront. Big and strong and a great header of the ball, also got pace to run the channels which is key in Europe. Not the most technical but doesn't have to be with Stokes, Commons, Forrest and fingers crossed Hooper around him.

Agree0 Disagree0

He may be a great player but his out spokeness reeks of an agent looking for big move and maybe using us as a potential buyer to drive up his price/quicken pace of sale. mark

Norwich to make a 5m bid for Gary hooper tp partner ricky van wolfswinkle. Would we accept 5m cash.

Believable9 Unbelievable13

I think he will stay on 32k a week I'm hearing

Agree1 Disagree0

With 1 year left on his contract i'd say yes. Even if there is 2 or 3 teams in for him I would say we would get 6 max. mark

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think it will happen as we are still short up front swim said johnny Russell deal is dodge rumour mill calling the deal cash for votes

Agree0 Disagree2

I really don't see us paying 32k a week for hooper 25k max. Otherwise we have to start giving guys like Ledley Brown Samaras and others at the top wage brackets similar amounts or risk losing them. Not to mention wage demands of players we are trying to sign. The knock on effect of changing our wage structure could cost us a fortune. mark

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon 4m would bd enough year to go on contract

Hi guys heard there is a lot of talk around Parkhead that Hooper will be staying. Really hope there is truth in this. CraigyBhoy.

Believable9 Unbelievable13

I hope so. Guaranteed goals, give him the £25k+ salary.
Just don't c how going to a mid-to-lower team in epl will advance either his England prospects or as a player.
Where's the fun in a relegation battle, scoring the odd goal vs good wage, well liked, medals, Europe?
Stevo Dundee

Agree1 Disagree0

If hooper gets his head right and applied himself fully for a whole season then he is in no doubt he is worth the money but he needs to work hard and I believe lennon needs to be strong with him and drop him if he doesn't perform or try a striker or 2 would work wonders to help create competition for all the strikers
Donegal Bhoy

Agree1 Disagree0

I would have liked him to come out much sooner and commit instead of the silence.
I know every professional has to weigh up his options and secure financial security and even International recognition, but he will never get the same success or CL football at the bottom end of the EPL.
If I'm honest with myself I can see him and Forster leaving in the next window and regretting it in about 6-9 months.

Hooper, big vic should do what stan the man did sign a contract so we can get big £ for them, The have been 2 good players for us but if the want to leave let them go! johnny Russell!

Agree1 Disagree0

I have heard this also from parkhead. Stalling on a new contract to make sure he gets the big money he believes he should be on. His agent is making sure he says nothing about it. But I fully expect Hoops to be there next season :)
@jockdj83

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you fancy johnny russell? How can you talk of hooper&wanyama in the same text as russell? ,. ,. kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

I've always thought he'd stay irregardless of the more informed close to club pundits in here.
He's a hoops guy. He clearly enjoys running out in his hoops. His family were named after the hoops. It's in the stars, kismet, fate. The lad is a prerequisite professional, has never said a negative word regarding the club or fans. Always happy and a smile.
Get in there Gary, CL games in four weeks, go do the business.

Agree0 Disagree0

Every player and their agent have the right to be shrewd regarding contracts and money as much as managers and CEOs.

Fans turning on players for being as smart as their CEO isn't acceptable. players shouldn't be expected to just roll over. Hooper is playing it coy and fair do's.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we lost big Fraser, we have the Swedish under 21 keeper v noring, was in trellborg this year and locals value him highly,

Summer game time?
