Hi Ed. Was just thinking the same too kev. Plus can't believe both lustig and especially boyata is playing. Our bench looks stronger than starting 11. How come no hendry either?

I think people are actually being harsh on lustig. He's been playing most of the season with an injury. With gamboa not up to scratch and ralestons injury he's had no chance to rest it.

Like really like lustig kev. He has been a great servant to celtic but he has struggled badly this year. He has been no where near the player he has been for the past few seasons. Would love to see him turn it around. I still stand what l said about boyata. Hendry is a better defender.

I'm surprised we loaned out Ralston as with Lustig carrying an injury and Gamboa well out of the picture, Both are off to the World Cup too so it would've made sense to bed Ralston back in before the CL qualifiers playing him in some important games closing out the season with the cup semi and possible final too.

What the he'll was wrong with Lustig . Lustig has been a great player for Celtic for many years and isn't finished yet . He played 83 mins for Sweden and obviously will be first choice for them again this World Cup.
I cannot help thinking too many are still following the Main Stream Scottish Media and not trusting their eyes .

He's had an Achilles injury most the season OMC but has played on through the pain barrier.
{Ed007's Note - Rodgers said at the end of January that Lustig would spend some time on the sidelines because of the Achilles injury and I might be wrong but I can't remember him doing it, Kev? He might even have played in the next game.}

I missed the game any reason why Boyata was replaced at half time? Was it a knock or because he was terrible?

Lustig is amongst the top three appearances for Celtic since Brendan took over as manager . He seems to be a model professional and I think he fits perfectly into our team set- up. I don't think B R wants his right back careering up the pitch like K Tierney does on the left, especially when centre defenders are encouraged to carry ball up the pitch . You wouldn't want us losing ball on half way line with everyone up the field in around opponents penalty area .
How many years is Lustig with us?
