Hearing the last bid from Norwich was £5. 75 million with £4 up front. When are they going to get message that bidding starts at 8

Norwich fan here even I'm getting fed up with this wish Norwich just put a good offer in let's says 6m upfront and 2m add on for PL survival. Would Celtic accept that?

Would hope not.8 million up front with add ons would get the bidding started. until then its a bit of an insult. we don't need, want or have to sell

Probably not if it depended on norwich staying up. also do PL teams that get relegated not get a parachute payment of something like 20 odd million. so why are norwich penny pinching is it just to unsettle the player. if norwich want him pay the money or go away.

4 bids in dribs and drabs is unprofessional and tedious.
If Norwich want him so badly agree a price privately and do a deal - THEN announce it.
Hooper hasn't committed to us so let him go.

How come you think a guy who is being considered as an england centre forward is worth less than guys being sold from championship clubs??

The fact of the matter is, bidding starts at 8 million, if Norwich want him put 8 in for him. With money that Premier League teams pay for players, I don't think that's bad at all. I'm fed up hearing he is playing in the SPL so why should a team pay minimum of 8 million for him. Regardless of what league he is playing in if he gets service he will score goals!

Well down here it's reported Norwich was making a forth and final bid so guess hoppers staying I wish you all the best against juv guess we will have him in the summer for 5m.

I don't I want hooper but To tell you the truth I don't think Norwich have 8m to throw upfront. Noone has been sold and players are beig traded or players. Noone really knows Norwich city's budget I wish Norwich would just pay it at least make an effort and offer 7m cash up front but I dunno I can see him leaving.

Hooper will wait till after the Juve, game then he will be off, not worth 8mill, though, {Ed007's Note - So he will leave in February? Are you sure about that?}

He'll have much better offers than Norwich come the summer.

£7m or £8m for Hooper. . . I don't really care as long as we have a decent replacement lined up. Yes we have a few decent young strikers but I think we would need a strong goalscorer to walk into the team. And if Hooper goes and God is good then his replacement won't be Kevin Doyle or any other 2nd rate journeyman.

All Norwich City are doing is unsettling our CF, someone at Celtic should have told this club a fee of 10 million for hooper to stop them coming back with stupid bids, its becoming a circus, Nl said to the media that CFC were shut as far as sale of our team players on deadline day, so why are we answering the phone ? unless CFC are active in finding someone to fill hooper boots before we sale him ?

TV news and sport just stated Celtic reject fourth hooper bid stating nothing below £8m good enough.
Then he stated Celtic will sign at least one player before deadline.

ED I can't believe someone is actually trying to fool you into thinking they are 3 different people (multiple personality disorder perhaps?!) Anyway I don't think there will be any comings or goings in the remainder of the transfer window unless fringe players (like McCourt) are moved on. Lennon said himself that he doesn't want to be hunting for replacements on the last day of the window so I really can't see Hooper leaving unless we have a replacement sorted and are just trying to get as much cash out of Norwich as we can.

I actually wrk at park head in the finance department just heard a rumour circulating round the office that Swansea had two scouts up at last nights game looking at joe Ledley.

I think Cardiff may try for him in the summer when they are promoted.

If you do work in the parkhead finance department I would like to know how much money we have actually made from our CL run this season so far?

Have worked in south Wales and playing for Cardiff then going to Swansea is a bit like going from us to Oldco Rangers (Newco no longer rivals so can't compare them lol). Highly unlikely especially for a local Bhoyo.

Seriously doubt Ledley (the Cardiff cult hero/lifelong fan) would join Swansea.

We have enquired about taking Grant Holt on loan, nothing to do with any deal for Hooper.

The only way holt would ever go to Celtic is if Norwich had made a 7-8m bid for hooper with holt going the other way on loan. Did you not watch holt last night vs spurs. We don't need hooper to save us would just be nice to give holt a partner with class and who's English.

Ed I've heard Celtic have made inquiry about becchio I thought he was going going to spurs? {Ed007's Note - I'm not long in from the match but as far as I know Becchio is going to Norwich. There was interest from CFC but seemingly it came to nothing.}
