Went to bed feeling we've turned a corner, comfortably into Europe, benkovic is signing, mulumbu as decent cover, moussa staying put, maybe get one other before Friday.

Wake up to find Moussa breaks ranks n goes full twitter tonto calling board / manager liars!

This is as bad, if not worse than boyata.

Although not my preferred, if Shane long is available then I get him In As he's for the jersey 100%, more than adequate cover for griff and eddy n I'd get the jersey kissers to feck.

Boyata cost 1.5mill n moussa 500k n we could recoup 25mill for both.

Get them out now, get through this season n plan the full rebuild for next season, can't have players breaking ranks, can you imagine stein or fergie putting up with this?

{Ed007's Note - Until Dembele signs for someone else I'll stay hopeful that he's going to stay, there's still not been anything agreed with Lyon but they will bid again and I expect Marseilles to make their move tomorrow.}

It looks like all we are going to bring in is loans or free transfers. We are a joke at the minute . We hear that we don’t depend on champions league money, then when we go out it seems like all fees for players stops.
How do they sell that one to Brendan, you are basically shopping in the loan market 🙈😡.

Was brilliant against us last year to be fair. And can play either role in the middle of the park - can sit like brown or push forward like ntcham, like he did when he scored the winner against us.

Certainly not the worst considering he was far too good for kilmarnock and I'm sure a fair few on here were naming him as a potential signing this summer back in march/ april.

Still need a defender and probably a striker if dembele goes. Maybe he won't but it's looking likely.

Decent player though. Good competition for Ntcham who's been a bit off the boil. Definitely still need a CB and Striker at the very least.

Popped 'mulumbu' inti the search bar and he was getting mentioned as recently as two weeks ago.

Seems opinion was split in April regarding His suitability however I was right, there are people om here who were suggesting him.

I'll reserve judgement til he's played half a Season but his experience could be mite useful than say, Luiz, who is young and Brazilian (lest we forget juninho, Rafael) .

Could be a modern day lubo? 😂.

This guy was very good last season. Bossed quite a few I watched and played well against us.
Am scratching my head wondering why people are moaning that we are signing an experienced footballer who has played at a high level and knows this league and we are getting him for free?

Mulumbu is a good addition he walked the league last year. He stood out in a good killie side last season.

Well experienced and a bit of muscle in the middle of the park. He will be great support for Broony and Ntcham.

Still hoping defence gets sorted.

Some of you guys mentioning a replacement for Dembele if he goes who would yous suggest or who do you think we could be looking at?

I reckon someone that’s been scouted for before. We’ll be contacting anyone and everyone in regards to Dembele moving. I’m thinking Reo Griffiths will come our way on loan as part of the deal. Or Sardar Azmoun if we can get a deal.

So our scouting policy now consists of.
- played against us in spl
- man city youth team
- loan from PL

Wtf is going on, we used to unearth gems now we scratch around the same limited markets.

The board obviously have some blame here however BR is in charge of football operations and from what I can see its a rubbish show.

Mcginn, mckenna, mulumbu. (31, not like our previous policy n reeks of panic like compper) .

Serious questions asked top to bottom if this is our only purchase, good player or not, this shows we are in a very precarious situation. Could've got him months ago if he was the man we wanted.

I said last week after Sudava game we are in dire need of a box to box midfielder someone who can take the ball off the defenders and won't give it away, Mulumbu could definitely be that guy for sure. I know a lot of guys are shouting for defenders, I don't think this is our biggest problem especially in Europe. I've noticed that most of the pressure we come under in European games is when either our defenders can't find a pass as our midfield are not working hard enough to find space or our midfield are getting caught in possession with their backs to goal which will always cause trouble for most teams at that level.
Whilst it may not be the most inspiring signing I do feel he is exactly the type of player we have been crying put for. This guy very rarely gives the ball away and has a fantastic engine.

Roy a said the same thing after the Athens shambles, the midfield either passed it back n put the defence under pressure or didn't show for a pass when playing out from the back. Can't say I've seen much of malumba but I'm a bit uninspired by it to be honest, desperate looking signing as someone pointed out he's been available all summer.

Armstrong out mulumbu in isn't an improvement or a long terms solution, it's get a guy in because we've messed up n running out of time n that's the problem, it surely confirms we have no real strategy or shortlist of well Scouted targets.

No mcginn deal he could've been in straight after, why wait till now? Actions n timing say a lot imo.

Moritz Bauer being linked. Actually thought of him earlier in the summer once Stoke were relegated but he signed a new 5 year deal. For that reason I doubt there’s any truth in it, but he’d be ideal for the problem right back slot.
