Manager Neil Lennon expects Celtic to sell England goalkeeper Fraser Forster in the summer, with the Scottish champions expected to look for a fee of around £7.5m, a portion of which will be due to his former club, Newcastle United. (Sunday Mail) Georgios Samaras could become a bit-part player for the remainder of the season with no transfer materialising for the Greece striker during January after failed to agree a new contract beyond the summer and with manager Neil Lennon planning for the future. (Sunday Express) Celtic striker Tony Watt has hinted that he might extend his loan deal at Lierse beyond the end of the season after mending his differences with the Belgian side's coach, Stanley Menzo, and scoring five goals in his last four games. (Sunday Mail)

First 2 fine but Tony Watt needs to come back. He's got amazing talent and potential and I'd rather see him play than Pukki.
P.S. Ed what's the deal with this getting posted or not?

{Ed007's Note - This is the first post we've had from you since 12th January Kev but as of tomorrow it will only be registered users who will be allowed to post on the site.}

Forster is top of the list at Newcastle if an acceptable offer comes in for Krul. The fact Newcastle get a % of any transfer fee Celtic receive makes this move more tempting for Mike Cashley.

After how they acted when we signed him by saying Celtic and spl is nothing special and lil comments here and there I say no to them or make them pay more then anyone else wit a big sell on. Bbhoy

@celticfc: celtic team to play st mirren: forster; fisher, ambrose, van dijk, izaguirre; forrest, brown, johansen, mulgrew; commons, stokes (mh)

@celticfc: subs: zaluska, biton, samaras, boerrigter, balde, pukki, o'connell (mh)

I think its time to drop sammy completely, why should we give him a platform to showcase what he can sometimes do? What so he can pick a decent pre-contract? Also what is stokes doing in team, I'd rather see more of balde or pukki, these guys aren't going to make the grade if they aren't going to be given the chance to show what they can do. 1 game here and there isn't going to give them momentum or confidence.

Delighted to see Johansen get a game, but God knows whit Amido needs to do to get a start?!

Never made the game today. Was the new guy any good?

Agree0 Disagree0

Guy was immense easily the best on the park.

Have no idea why Stokes was brought right back in, typical we get a 1 nil win after a wee goal fest without him.

Lenny needs to realise this guy just ain't good enough. Whilst he is at it, keep Samaras off the bench and give youth a try.
