I was disappointed not to see atajic involved in the Arbroath game, he has been banging the goals in and I have read some good stuff about him albeit from the celtic website. Ed, do u have any insider knowledge on what's happening with him or are we sticking with our under achieving first team? {Ed007's Note - The club are happy with his progress.}

Hi hoops
Help needed with the name of a young English centre half signed by Tony Mowbray and released by Neil Lennon to Fleetwood Town ?
He never made any appearances though {Ed007's Note - Matthew Hughes, he was Under-19 captain for us.......?}

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Josh Thompson?

Matty Hughes.

Josh Thompson went to Portsmouth who then loaned him to Colchester.

I never understand why these boys dont get a chance.yes we dont see them in traing so we dont know how good they really are. we done the same with the boy jason marr he was under 19 captain for celtic and scotland and had under 21 scotland caps and we just released him without any fee or and recuperation of all the money we put out on those players. a know its division 2 but paul harlteys raving about thats boy now and supposedly spl teams are looking at him

Never made the game yesterday but glad fringe players got a run out.was the GB still on strike ? Ill leave comments about the last few home games until after 9.30pm on Wednesday night.this is going to be the big test.if we make the CL then ill happy forgot the poor run its not good enough but if we make it it's more or less 2 months to get the league points up and cup games done over one leg.

Watched some of the rangers game good result (3-0) however I believe the attendance at this game today won't be spoke about....

the attendance was always going to be low at rangers game due to weather and the fact there is a section of our support still believing that we should boycott any games that are to do with the sfa as it was the scottish cup this is to do with the sfa i for one didn't go and won't go to any scottish cup game even if we played your lot. i believe it's time all this negative talk about scottish football is forgotten and we concetrate on trying to sort ourselves out and find a structure that actually works. why you not want to talk about the crowd yesterday then noone has mentioned it on here.

Agree0 Disagree0

Still a a good few thousand more there than the celtic game on saturday.Don't see you mentioning that. Fact our game was live on ss as well prob lost us a few fans.

On another matter, did you see the woman in the elgin end out her tree on X? Dancin like a loon to the tunes played at the stadium. Was showin on ss, not a good look for scottish football haha {Ed007's Note - Did you see that from your seat in the stadium or from watching on TV? Just asking......

Hi Ed.

I'm a regular reader of the site, although I've never posted anything before. I'm a season ticket holder but wasn't able to get the Champions League package due to being unable to attend the first two home matches. I have unsuccessfully tried to source a couple of tickets for the Spartak game and was wondering if you or any of your readers would be able to help?

Keep up the good work, Ed.

Martin C {Ed007's Note - Cheers Martin. I have noted your e-mail address if anyone can help you out. One of my friends got a ticket for the Barca game outside the stadium (face value) and he is planning on doing the same this week.}

Its always a wise move to ask the supporters buses when they arrive as there is normally one or two members that dont show up

Celtic and Miku in discussions to cut short loan deal in January.

MikeyBhoy88

Believable12 Unbelievable4

Hope so. He's not settled at all still require a playmaker and a physical presence up front

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably involve a termination fee for celtic

Agree0 Disagree0

I mentioned this on here about a month ago and got slaughtered by alot of people saying he will come good and he needs time etc, wonder if these same people want to voice there opinion now, do they still think he will be a success.

celticthomas

Agree0 Disagree0

Good shout. He's not really done the business has he. Who is your source Mikey? Ian L

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the lad's done pretty good so far, despite a wee injury and competition for places. why cut short a deal unless someone else who is better and comes with a more lucrative deal comes in?

Agree0 Disagree0

Wish it was the swansea MICHU, he is battering the goals in, DID WE SIGN THE RIGHT ONE? Johnbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Ian L. Matt Mcglone is the source mate he's on the ball with most things. Would really liked to have seen Miku come good and possibly given a good run of games he may have.

MikeyBhoy88

Agree1 Disagree0

Ok thanks for the info Mikey. Think it must suit all involved if the deal is cut short. Neil Lennon works with him everyday in training, however he very rarely starts a game and when he does he's never really done it. Best of luck to the guy were ever he ends up.
Ian L

Agree0 Disagree0

In this global economy, no club can carry passengers in the hope they eventually come good. It's very competitive and guys have to hit the ground running. Immediate results and performances are expected.
Wish the guy all the best. Scottish football can't afford to carry exotic/ extravagant expenses.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm guessing he was our very expensive ace up the sleeve for CL games who never scored the goals to get us through or got himself first striker preferred slot.
With one game to go, if he's a bench decision, then he's too expensive for the bench.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know i will get pelters for this but i would like to see Sheridan back at celtic park. We wil see how he fares next week but i think he is stronger and faster than when he left. We are a one trick pony at the moment in europe no one can handle our height or power and he will add to this. He is only 23 and remember Mulgrew. We do need a playmaker and a speedy winger. Johnny Russell and Maor Melikson could fill these roles we should also prepare for the loss of Hooper and Wanyama. Ambrose would look good in the wanyama role and we could find a dominant centre back

Agree0 Disagree0

Johnny russell is not celtic class. Mackay steven maybe, but not a position we're crying out for just now. If the last 16 is achieved then it will be within the reach of nl to look down south at out of favor prem players or even overseas. wages may still be the stumbling block, but the squad needs class acts who will fit in straight away. these guys come with a cost.

Agree0 Disagree0

If miku goes will we be bringing someone in ?

Agree0 Disagree0

That would be disappointing as I think the guy has class, he just hasn't settled into the team well. During the champions league anytime we have called upon him I think he has done well.

Quack

Agree0 Disagree0

People need to stop thinking we are amazing. We are becoming more n more like a feeder club. Had a good run in europe so far but we are still 64th in european rankings which is embarassing to say the least

Agree0 Disagree0

What's embarrassing? On current form we are top 30 so relax. Sopot Celt

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye here here and if we get through wednesday, doesn't that technically mean we're top 16?

Heard in pub before game yesterday that Owen Coyle is to be offered a coaching role at Celtic Park . Any truth Ed or just your average pub rumour ?.........DH {Ed007's Note - I don't know anything about that, sorry. He is on the shortlist for Scotland manager and I would think he will find a job in management rather than coaching, unless it is only a short term thing to mutually help out.}

Believable2 Unbelievable8

A coaching job? must be kickin himself now eh? just a coupla years ago he was offered the managers job and knocked it back. wouldnt have him in any role at paradise now to be honest. we werent good enough for him then, so why should we be good enough for him now?

frankiebhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

He could probably do a job BUT his chance has gone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree . If your offered the chance to join our great club grasp it with both hands . If you knock it back you shouldn't get a second chance ......DH

Agree0 Disagree0

Im led to believe that he may be in line for the shef wed job once available so shhh please

Hi Ed, Lenny keeps saying he thinks Hooper is happy at Celtic and he's close to agreeing a new deal, yet this has been going on now for ages. Do you think Hooper will be off in Jan?

MikeyBhoy88 {Ed007's Note - I would say it will be the summer but it depends on any bids in January.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

If Sunderland keep up the run of form they are on I would definitely expect them to come in for Hoops in January.

i was at the arbroath game and i dont want to critise the team
ibrahim and mcgeouch done well in creating chances
brown looked better than he has been in weeks
if wasnt for there keeper miku could have had 2
rogne was looking a bit sluggish but it was good to see him back in the team
and joe chalmers did well in his first competive start

Believable4 Unbelievable5

I'm starting to think we made a mistake in signing Miku, think we were supposed to sign Michu (Swansea)

Agree1 Disagree0

Broonie was terrible today his passing was abysmal, face facts it was another rotten home performance against a team that even Sevco would probably beat. I'm telling you it's the black socks! sorry ed i'm no going to mention BS again......Stevie(the black sock hater)

Agree1 Disagree0

I think I heard that we were in for Michu but we may not meet the price or he chose to go to epl, not too sure maybe Ed could answer that. And the black sock guy, we were on a good run of wins with the black socks earlier althought I'm not a fan of them either.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ibrahim looks a real talent, maybe needs a bit more strength and toughening up but great ability. Would like to see him play with the "first" team, only then can he be judged fully.
