Awryt Ed Bud listen I read that Franco Di Santo of Wigan is out of contract in the Summer, surely a good replacement for Hooper? Wages hmm I think he'll probably be on around 20k at the moment I am not sure but if we get him on a free I think 25-30 k a week we could afford but 23 year's old, 6ft 4, I know he hasn't scored much but he plays for the weakest team in the EPL (they have a great manager though) I think we could develop him into a top striker, of course he'll score goals in SPL and that confidence could go into the Champions League, plus set pieces was our bread and butter in the CL this season so I am sure he'd get his head on a few Mulgrew crosses, I would really like to see him at Paradise. wha are you thoughts? Also Hanley, played in Defense for Scotland, I think he'd be good to look at, even though Scotland are terrible I think he would bring discipline to our defense and that is what we need. GhreenBhoy1888 {Ed007's Note - Di Santo has turned down Wigan's offer of £30k a week already but I expect him to sign them, nobody will pay him that although he could subsidise his wages with a signing on fee. Gremio and Palermo have some interest in him. I never seen the Scotland game and have only seen Hanley play once since he left Rangers, unless he has vastly improved I don't think he is good enough for us.}

This bloke Hanley is mince, a blunderer of a centre half who will make blunders as soon as he's under a bit of pressure e.g Caldwell, Mc Manus, Varga, Loovens, Mjastorevic the list goes on. I've been waiting on a decent centre half pairing that I can trust for about 20 yrs now and Hanley certainly is not the answer. Stevie

Decent centre half pairing in last twenty years? Dolph an joos were pretty solid for me

Since arriving in uk di santo has a 1in9 goals ratio, his highest tally for a season is 7 and that was the season he played his most games, have you ever seen him?,,, deep river bhoy

Celtic captain Scott Brown is expected to be out of action for four to six weeks after surgery on his abductor injury.

The Scotland midfielder saw a specialist earlier this month and could yet play again this season.

Broonie should be off til august to give this thing time to heal properly. he has hardly played this season so why not just bite the bullet and let him rest it. shammy

Shammy I agree with what you say but our midfield look's lost, at time's, without him

Hi ed was on the arsenal site and one guy seems to think that there's a deal in place for wanyama to join them. I know big vic will probably leave but is there any truth in this cheers mate. {Ed007's Note - There is no deal in place. Given that Txiki Begiristain has hinted that Manchester City are considering making a bid for the player as well, it looks as if it will be a straight fight (so far) between Arsenal and City, Manchester United have turned their attention elsewhere.}

If he must go. it can only be a good thing that so many are interested. Would could get 3 quality players from his sale alone. and that's before hooperman goes. and that's before we touch champs league money! Quality needed for next season. our best chance to get it!

Agree0 Disagree0

Seldom deals are done mid season when prices increase at end of season and there's more competition for a good player. He would do well to stay for another CL season.
