I personally believe he will run riot up here. He scored 17 goals in 35 matches in the championship which is a harder league than the spl. I also heard that we have put in a official bid for sinclair. Any truth in this ed.

Not having a dig at you or young dembele hoopyric . I hate hearing that "he'll run riot up here ". it crops up when we go for anyone out of England or another" big "league . over the last few years we've been shown that isn't alwYs the case . players sometimes can't adapt or aren't as good as our scouts suggest and with the way spl teams play with 10 behind the ball it isn't as easy as so. e people suggest. hopefully this bhoy is different and as I said it's the phrase rather than the sentiment I dislike.

Worry is tompo he's only 19 . couple of poor games then our fickle fans will be all over him. same with young ajer both are being hyped up and if they don't hit the ground running they will get roasted.

I agree with that drb, they're only young lads, and need to be given a bit of leeway, and a good settling in period.

I think young Ajer could be in for one hell of a tough time if he is played regularly from the outset and doesn't be player of the match every game . Coming from Norway will have the mouths among our supporters down on him dfrom the word go, they will think he has a cheek thinking he can step up to the SPL .
I expect Dembele to do well, not because he has played in the Championship but because he seems to have his head screwed on and with the pace, strength and ability he seems to process he should do well against the very strong defensive set-ups in the SPL.

Ajer will be fine he'll be used sensibly the midfield is reasonably strong so don't see the problem.

Ed, this is a real coup and a sign of intent. This kid has the chance to go to the very top.

We have the boy Ajer in for central midfield so for me if we can sign a good quality CB and winger (and hopefully a GK) I think we will be good for the Champs league qualifiers.

{Ed007's Note - I'm looking forward to seeing Ajer and the general feeling seems to be that he's impressed in training considering he's arrived during a managerial change. Brendan Rodgers spoke to him and assured him nothing had changed with the Club's plans for him. Let's hope he keeps to his word about the young players.
I'd love to get a new GK in, I'm never confident going into any big game with Gordon in goal and the aftermath of the SC semi-final masked yet another blunder of his in a massive game. There is no doubts in my mint that no matter what European competition we're in next season Gordon will cost us points.}

McGovern performance against Germany was grossly overrated

the saves he should have made, he almost made a hash of them which led to further frenzied saves

It really would. If it's cover we're after now, as opposed to a different option, I'd sooner go for Christian Santos on a free. His record blows Fletcher's out the water.

The thing is, if Dembele is signed then Fletcher is brought in we know he's only going to be a squad player, if he had been Rodgers first signing there would have been a kick up with the fans and the press would have had a field day. Now JP can finally bring in his wee pet he's been yearning for and nobody will bat an eyelid. Which would be fantastic PR work by the Club for a change.
It's all pure speculation though, I was speaking to one of his close relatives at my nephew's football do a couple of weeks and he said there was nothing in it as far as he knew. But like most footballers Fletcher doesn't phone round everyone he knows to update them on his life.}

Fletcher is the only reason JP has a career. Everytime I read in the press about the fantastic players that Hibs side brought through I cringe. Granted Brown has been good, and Hibs realistically need to bring their own through, but there are a lot of clubs and heads of development or whatever that have brought through a better crop than Fletcher, O'Connor and Riordan. All I'm saying really is I feel his time at Hibs is overrated. Now BR has stated he won't work under a DoF type figure, and we have McCart, McGuinness and Driscoll - JP is nothing more than a glorified scout now.

I know where you're coming from with the 3rd choice thing. Truth is we'll struggle to bring anybody of any standard to Scotland knowing they'll be third choice. I can see us playing both Dembele and LG at times so a 3rd choice should get game time. And of course, if they do play well, any manager worth their salt would give them more starts. But aye it would be difficult.

Well I take your sources over my own, Graham told his cousin there WAS something in it. Clearly unlike Fletcher he likes to go around just talking brown bananas.

Imagine you phoned up your cousin to say it looked like you were signing for Celtic and it didn't happen, you'd be a laughing stock behind your back. I never buy all these stories about X players cousin was in the pub and Celtic have offered him £20k a week and a house but his wife isn't sure, it's bollocks lol.
My dad was really friendly with Phil O'Donnell's dad, Bernard and knew he was joining Celtic weeks before it happened and never told me because he knew I wouldn't be able to keep my mouth shut.}
