I see Joe Jordan has left spurs now too, dunno if he'll wait for Arry to get another job and then follow him but would be a great coach as Thompson's replacement? Any thoughts?

Hamilton say no.

Briggs {Ed007's Note - Accies wouldn't let us down ;-)

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Is that your neck of the woods Ed? Lol

Briggs {Ed007's Note - Yes mate. Born and bred (or dragged up lol).

Agree0 Disagree0

Just wonderinmg how much rejection this mob can take, I would not be suprised if Div 3 reject them as well LOL

Agree0 Disagree0

They wear the hoops for a reason :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Anbody who knows Accies or their fans knew they would vote no. I've had some fantastic nights out with the Hamilton Bhoys over the years.

http://goo.gl/acsJq

Agree0 Disagree0

Its now irelevant who votes no in division 1 Its a set up.... If sevco accept old cos punishments one of the punishments is relegation to division 1 therefore no vote on the matter... A complete stitch up to allow them into div 1

Agree0 Disagree0

They better just face fact no one likes them ,but differ to ther song it seems they do care ,haha haha english hamilton old town bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed 007 ya from hamilton then i will understand if no reply ,but im from england corby and have been going hamilton since i was a small bhoy any chance ya drink in dochs if so i must know ya {Ed007's Note - Yes mate, I've drank in Docs a few times over the years, I used to go to the games with the the Bhoys from the Auld Toon.}

Stewart Milne statement -

"The statement that I issued on Monday was both clear and unambiguous and for the avoidance of any doubt I will restate it. Rangers NewCo should apply to the SFA for admission and apply direct to the SFL in the same way that any other new club would do. This is and remains our club's absolute position."

Heard we have asked blackburn about getting paul robinson on a 12 month loan. Would be great because he is a quality keeper. Forster has great potential but robinson is top notch.

Believable3 Unbelievable15

Can't be the same Paul Robinson i watched last year with Blackburn he's terrible

Gary

Agree0 Disagree0

Herd that myself but not happy at all, a club our size should have our own keeper, not saying Robinson is rubbish he's a cracking keeper but this is getting outa hand, 3 seasons in a row loaning a keeper!

Agree0 Disagree0

Please god no! The guy had been rank since he left Leeds, I'd rather play Zaluska.
Nickybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

LAST POST bang on ,if we go 1 more game with a loan in keeper, hope the dons win the spl .

Agree0 Disagree0

Zaluska is a far better keeper than Robinson he's garbage. Also agree we need our own keeper no more loans

Campsie Tim

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree we are too big a club to be loaning a keeper!

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely his wages would be way beyond our current wage structure.
I had heard he was one of the highest paid at the club (Ed007 you may be able to confirm this with one of the other Ed's).
Also at his age I would doubt he would fit NL's current squad ethos.
If not Forster I'd like to see us going for Smithies or Sifakis as both are far younger and available for free.
HH
/BB {Ed007's Note - His wages at Blackburn fall into £35-45k a week mate. He is actually a very poor keeper, up until February/March he had conceded a goal every 37 minutes in the EPL.}

ED007 can you ease my mind and a good few other fans of most teams.
I remember you said in one post that reconstruction cannot take place
virtually overnight as certain procedures have to be followed and structures put in place. So how can what Doncaster is proposing go through so quickly, are SFA/SPL conveniently sidestepping their
own rules?
Then I recall another post in which you stated Sevco/team 12 or whatever did not have the proper paperwork or proper signed off accounts. So again are rules being blatantly ignored to find a place for cheaters fc in division 1?
Finally what do you think Celtic's role in all this as their silence is deafening all Celtic fans would hate to think that Lawwell has given his tacit support to all this? Thoughts please? Timalloy {Ed007's Note - Tim if this happens it is a blatant break of the rules and is outright cheating. There is no way I can see this happening there are too many factors that just don't add up. If this happens it will be the death of Scottish football. I posted a link to Doncaster talking about the time needed for league reconstruction in 2010 and yet these massive changes can be pushed through in a month? Teams leaving the SFL have to give two years notice as well (remember the SPL forming?). Rangers need to apply for a SFA licence by tomorrow and there is still a massive amount of paperwork to to be lodged at umpteen institutions to gain the necessary documentation to get a new club up and running. Doncaster and his cronies can not, and should not be still in office for even suggesting this type of carve up. If PL has been part of this (and I doubt he is) I would be looking for some serious repercussions (mass boycotts, from games to merchandise) from the CFC support. It would cost our club a shed-load of money if that's the case. As I said the other day Tim, Never interrupt your enemy as he is making a mistake.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Hi ed, where's the link u posted, plz {Ed007's Note - Here it is :

news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/8889822.stm

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers ED007, as always an honest answer. Timalloy {Ed007's Note - What's all you guys take on it?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed So in your opinion this is most likely a load of bull. The question is who is behind it. I've yet to see any evidence that this is actually happening other than reports the BBC understands or STV believes. I cant see what the SPL clubs would gain from this. I cant see what the SFA would gain from this. I cant see what the SFL would gain from this. I can't even see what Zombie FC would gain. However I can see what Green would gain by floating all these rumours and letting the media focus on this instead of there being no team at Ibrox, not SFA registration etc. {Ed007's Note - There were no quotes from anyone, I have asked in private, and on Twatter who has came up with this idea. Nobody is willing to put their name to it which raises questions on it's own.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey Ed, I know this has been talked about but if this were to happen, do you think this could be a way out for us to join another?english league maybe. Because uefa would have to see whole corruption right? And any news about uefa wanting answer from spl about the whole rangers saga. {Ed007's Note - Without major rule changes there is no chance of going to England. UEFA are aware of the ongoing saga.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Ed, this would be the stitch up of all stitch ups. Basically the zombies, for all their cheating and corruptive ways,will get the same punishment as Dunfermline, who were relegated for being rubbish,but honest with it. This document that was leaked today,talks about the money that will be lost if the zombies are sent down,well it doesn't say how much will be lost if fans of the other clubs decide to vote with their feet and stay away from games and sponsors. I'm sure that the CSA will be making a statement soon if this gathers momentum. Finally Ed if this goes to a vote of all sfl clubs then surley all 2nd and 3rd division teams will vot against this because they would want the revenue that the zombies would bring into thier coffers?

Briggs {Ed007's Note - There is NOTHING to back up the figures quoted Briggs. Does £16 million out of the Scottish game include money owed to other clubs etc? If Rangers are worth that amount to the game in their current condition then why is our game in disarray? Even putting CFC on an even keel with them does that mean that CFC and Remnant Rangers are worth £32 million to the Scottish game.....is that a season? a month? a financial year? It is drivelling nonsense mate.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys we all believed the BBC when they were dragging the cheaters through the dirt but now that they are breaking a story that doesn't suit us then it must be BS?

You all know as well as me that scottish football seems reluctent to change unless it suits certain parties and I think that losing them for a year doesnt suit those parties so they will bend over backwards to have them back regardless of how they do it

they have cheated the full of scottish football for many years and as long as there are idiots like ogilvie allowed to be in a postion of power then they will continue to do so

I dont know what the answer is but I think the people with the most power in scottish football at this moment are the CFC family and we should use it jointly with fans and club united in tbere objections to lieing, cheating and disrepute

Agree0 Disagree0

Like the old "Churchillian" quote Ed.
A classic.
Only question is mate, who in this case is making the mistake?
You've lost me on that one.
P.O.B. {Ed007's Note - Churchillian POB? You need to stop bashing your keyboard and do some reading mate.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Is it ok to hide skeletons in the cupboard ?.. They are gonna come out soon . Forget tax and EBT s....the world will crucify you !

Agree0 Disagree0

Oops! Meant Napoleon lol.
Anyway..Apart from me failing my history exam. Who is making the mistake on this occasion?
P.O.B. {Ed007's Note - I am only responsible for what I say and write , I am not responsible for what you hear or interpret.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Naturally as the reader Ed i only have access to what you are willing to share,or present in writing. I am only asking for clarification on your last point.
You are uncharacteristically offering no explanation while also being ambigous with your reply. Have i offended you in some way?
P.O.B. {Ed007's Note - You have never offended me POB, you would know, you are more than welcome here. If your enemy hungers, feed him; if he thirsts, give him drink: for in so doing you shall heap coals of fire on his head.}

Agree0 Disagree0

You really think celtic have the most power in scottish football if thats the case then why are other clubs getting a vote

Agree0 Disagree0

As with the political world, it is always better to throw a few bones at the hungry pack to stave them off before laying out the steak. This is merely a testing of the water to gauge reaction. Leak the worst case scenario to the media, then you can get away with watered down proposals when you finally get round to them. I don't doubt that the powers at be are terrified if newco don't play a part in whatever league. The loss of potential earnings for the other SPL clubs will have to be found from elsewhere. But as we have said all along, sporting integrity has to be followed. Let's not forget that the oldco systematically cheated for years, and eventually went bust owing over 100 mil in debt! Never mind a place in football, where the hell is the investigation into this rotten institutions dealings? The so called "blood lust" as new Murray has stated, is in fact a normal reaction from fans who are seeing one of the biggest injustices we've ever encountered in the Scottish game. I for one, is sick and tired about hearing who will bend over backwards next to help this mob get back into a league at the highest level they can. You can't blame Green, he's just protecting his investment. There are plenty of others who need to be told in no uncertain terms, we don't want newco anywhere near the SPL and we also want them to apply, as a new club would have to, for membership of the SFL. You cannot argue with this, it's fundamentally and morally the correct path that needs to be followed!

BigRab

Agree0 Disagree0

ED then your not responsible for my interpretation that the enemy is Green. Celtic have realised that the zombies are a busted flush. They would like to see them punished and stipped of titles but it make no real differance to them. They may or may not wish that Rangers still existed. But don't always get what you want. It is highly unlikely that a health vibrant rangers will reemerge any time soon for better or worse. The main reason for this is not Murray or Whyte, but Green. The guy is an asset stripper. What assets do the Zombies have. How do you best cash in on that? Not by playing football. Remember Murray could not give the club away for a pound. Even stripped of debt the best offer for all assets was £5million. I'm not sure the enemy is making a mistake as such as I think no football at Ibrox is exactly what he wants.

Agree0 Disagree0

The reconstruction is not for this year guys. Its for the start of play next season.

Alright ed, got a query for u mate, do u know how much it is for an under 19's season ticket? Would this include the next generation home games as well?

Byars {Ed007's Note - As far as I know mate there are no U19 season tickets. The Next-Gen matches were sold as a package last season. I have messaged somebody to find out for definite for you, or if anyone else knows any different..........

Ed i think you are correct in saying there are no u19 tickets and the next gen series did come as a package last year and i am being told it is to be the same set up this year. if the sfa/spl and sfl approve these idiotic plans of allowing the newco into the 1st division, all clubs involved in these leagues should have a vote and if they still persist with there plans a mass boycott of every scottish tournament is required. hurt them were it hurts in their pockets as this is what it is all about, MONEY.

Believable15 Unbelievable5

I am a gers fan however I have many friends that are celtic fans and most of them realise that Celtic are part of the SPL plan that realises a 'one team' country will cause the game to die here. Make no mistake your club will win the league by a country mile every season, where is the entertainment in that apart from your fans. Will anyone else pay to see this, mmmmm maybe not. Hi ed I don't know if there is a record of previous posts people make but I posted a couple of months ago that Neil Lennon told a group of us in a west end pub that mcgregor was asked through a mutual friend of Alan Thompson if he would ever switch to Celtic and his answer was YES! Lennon said it would only happen of rangers went burst and he had no contract! Hope you can back this up ed {Ed007's Note - Do you honestly expect me to trawl through months of posts looking for something you claim to have said when I have no idea who you are? Hi Ed, I've read a couple of rumours now linking Izaguirre with a move to Everton. Any truth or just rumours? {Ed007's Note - I've not heard of any interest from Everton. It is probably an offshoot of the Leighton Baines to Man Utd rumour.}

Hi Ed

do you think Ciani would be a good signing? from what I've read he seemed not bad last season played 31 games and got 5 goals, wonder what his price would be tho

Flynny88 {Ed007's Note - The fee would probably be around 3 - 3.5 million Euros (plus tax and agents fees). Ciani is the reason that Roma didn't take up their option to buy Simon Kjaer on a permanent basis.

Believable7 Unbelievable2

I think he would be great. Hes a fantastic leader and commanding in the air. He has the quality because i can remember him being linked with alot of big teams throughout Europe.

I cannae believe the bbc news,they just said the sfl the sfa and spl have agreed to re structure the leagues and to pay newco into div1,£1 million for tv .when did this meeting happen ?

reagan doncaster, and ogilvie must go ...geo {Ed007's Note - The SFL has said there is no agreement with any other body regarding the position of Rangers Newco in SFL1.}

Believable8 Unbelievable3

I read something about this early last week. It seems that they plan not to allow the tribunal to reconsider player embargo and by getting newco accepted into Div1 and thereby closing all other investigations into EBT's and so on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sfl division 1 clubs have not agreed to this yet there will be a backlash from these clubs if the rangers newco are placed in this league

Agree0 Disagree0

For me the key bit in the story is Petrie briefed green on the plans. Which just says to me its the Group of 10 meeting coming to fruition. This ticks all the boxes for all other clubs. A punishment (of sorts) league restructure, voting reform and more equal money for the wee'er teams. They can say thats it all dealt with, We are no worse off and the old old firm have both been brought down a peg! this is the true emphasis behind this IMO. In a business sense this model is actually not bad, And if there wasnt the bother of newco then it would actually be a not too bad a plan, a few tweaks needed of course.

However this reeks of desperation from them after appeasing their fans in saying no to them in the SPL.

I think the time is approaching for Celtic to come out with their view very soon. Although the silence is bliss!

If this somehow gets through i would be interested to see if Celtic or others go to UEFA and state they are part of a corrupt football league and they would want assistance from the higher powers to sort it out.

This if true could get very very very messy. Although the SFL, SPL and SFA deny all knowledge of course... which isnt a suprise its what they do... pass the buck and ignore it till they hope it goes away!

Evinguu

Agree0 Disagree0

Can the SPL and SFL agree to such a thing with out a members vote? Remember a big change like this would require a 11- 1 vote in the SPL and also 24 of 30 clubs to yes in the SFL. While league reconstruction is not a bad thing, I cant see it happening just to try and resusitate the corpse of Rangers. A team with 10 players (including 2 goalies) and whats the betting that a few of them are sold soon.

Agree0 Disagree0

ED007, the silence from Regan/Doncaster
is deafening. We all know they are frantically trying to get Sevco accepted into SFL1 why not be honest and come out with their plans that everyone can then digest and discuss. Instead they leak ideas to press who fly the kite for them.
It is the bribes they are offering smaller clubs that is shameful, they know these clubs need every penny.
I also think there is an attempt to divide and rule also, and isolate Celtic.
I hope our board are considering all their options and legal position and when time is right come out fighting. Timalloy

Ed its just they report it ,pisses me off..geo

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry for the LONG POST ED:

The proposal to SFL clubs, titled "Your Game, Your Club, Your Future

WHY DOES RESISTANCE TO CHANGE IN FOOTBALL EXIST?

•Fear of the unknown

•Lack of involvement

•Lack of information

•Threat to power, or status

•No perceived benefits

•Fear of failure

•Unless behaviour changes, nothing changes

UNDERSTANDING RESISTANCE TO CHANGE

•Perceptions of being “worse offâ€

•If the reasons for change are not clear

•If implementation plans are not clear

•If there is no clear “link†with your own objectives

•If a change is seen as a threat to your long term security or well being

WE THEREFORE NEED SOME CLEAR COMMUNICATION PRIORITIES FOR THE SFL

•Logical and positive communication to eliminate doubt, threat and insecurity

•Fully explained in terms of short and long term benefits to you and the organisation

•Not left to the last minute

•Involving you at an early stage

•And seen in the context of a wider strategic plan

CURRENT REALITY

•Rangers have no where to go

•SPL Clubs have indicated their voting intentions

•SFA wish to see a solution in the interests of the game

•Moral/sporting question vs financial collapse

•Are The SFL are in a position to accommodate a solution?

WE HAVE CONSIDERED FIVE SCENARIOS

1.Rangers stay in SPL

2.Rangers to Third Division

3.Rangers to First Division

4.Rangers to SPL2

5.Rangers terminated or suspended

1. RANGERS STAY IN SPL

•Not an option

•SPL clubs have indicated no

2. RANGERS TO THIRD DIVISION

•Takes approximately £16 million out of the game

•Commercial partners walk away and seek compensation

•The settlement agreement becomes a major risk

•The sporting opportunity is quashed for other clubs

3. RANGERS TO FIRST DIVISION

•Reduces SPL income by approximately 30%

•Balances short term need for redemption with a least worst case financial scenario

•It is financially possible to recover from this scenario

4. RANGERS TO SPL2

•Currently not supported by the SFA

•Creates a bigger divide

•Leads to some short term commercial losses

•A legal challenge could paralyse the game

•The overall pot would be much less than anticipated

5. RANGERS TERMINATED OR SUSPENDED

•Complete financial meltdown

•Settlement agreement is obliterated

•Fans are lost to the game forever

•The game survives but where?

SO WHAT EXACTLY ARE WE BEING ASKED TO CONSIDER?

•Rangers in the IRN-BRU First Division this coming season

•A one off fee to buy out the Rangers media value. (£1million) thus protecting the current contracts in place.

IF WE AGREE THEN WE REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING

•Play-Offs immediately, based on our format

•A new distribution model with the settlement agreement value protected and future proofed

•An amalgamation of the SPL & SFL

•A more balanced governance model (as circulated)

WHICH WILL DELIVER BENEFITS TO THE SCOTTISH FOOTBALL LEAGUE

•Immediate cash benefit for all 30 clubs!

•Gate receipt uplift in Division 1

•Potential hospitality & advertising values increase

•Sponsors receive added value through additional exposure

•Scottish Government remain committed to our community strategy

•SFL has more influence at the top table

•Play-Offs restore the sporting meritocracy and deliver additional value

AND BENEFITS TO SCOTTISH FOOTBALL

•A unified plan presented to the Scottish footballing public which offers real possibilities for the game

•Keeps all 42 clubs together avoiding a divisive SPL2 split

•Deals with the need for sporting integrity with regard to Newco

•Delivers innovation in the form of a single league, Play-Offs and a pyramid plan

•Delivers new value for the game

•Potentially narrows the financial gap between Scottish Premier League & Scottish League

•Shows leadership for the game in Scotland

•Allows fans to engage in the bigger picture

•A positive media outcome

BUT THE FOOLS ON THE HILL CAN SAY ALL THEY LIKE ABOUT NOT HAVING AN AGREEMENT, WHICH,LEGALLY THEY DO NOT AT THE MOMENT, BUT AS Brando said in a movie once or was it Doncaster" I'M GONNA MAKE EM AN OFFER THEY CAN'T REFUSE" {Ed007's Note - Clubs need to give two years notice to leave the SFL and Doncaster himself has said in August 2010 that league reconstruction is a 'lengthy process':
