Ed, what's happening with Miku? I understand he can't be moved onto another club as he has played for both Celtic and Getafe this season. Do Getafe not want him back? He hasn't been named in any squads for weeks now yet he is not injured.

Thanks

Darylbhoy {Ed007's Note - I expected him to return to Getafe during this window. The fact he has flopped and has not really had a chance comes as no surprise to me Daryl.}

Give miku a chance, he is a quality player just look at the goal against utd. He could be a star for us if he finds his form. much better than lassad IMO.

Ed - am I right in thinking that it's now too late for any team to sign big Vic during this window as there isn't enough time to push through a work permit before the deadline?

LondonBhoy {Ed007's Note - Wanyama, like all non-EU players, needs a work permit to play in the UK. If he moves between clubs the work permit needs to be renewed but it is most unlikely that he would have any difficulties with it. As Kenya has a lowly ranking he does need a work permit issued as an exception. Again, I don't see this being an issue as he has been playing regularly in the UK. Some places were reporting that any deal would have to be done by the weekend just passed to allow paperwork to be completed on time, I really can't see that being true, or a problem.}

I don't think there would be any issues, is it not all down to how many times he plays for his country? I can see him being a regular for years to come so I don't think there would ever be a problem with a work permit for big vic. I'm starting to lean towards just letting him go this month, if we get knocked out champs league by juve...will we see the real wanyama or a wanyama that's just picking up a wage untill the summer? He and hooper both looked like players with their bags packed on sunday...and on that note how could lenny give hooper pass marks for sunday? Sounds like a bit of sookin up to me, keeping him sweet in a hope we keep him till the summer. {Ed007's Note - Kenya are ranked outside the top 70, that is one of the major factors in a WP application, that is why he is regarded as an 'exceptional talent', clubs must prove this for a WP to be granted.}

Under peter lawell, Celtic have become a green groccer football club, these two players will just be two players who started out at parkhead, if good bids come in then sale them on, but remember Mr Lennon quote at the end of december "Celtic football club are not open for buisness on the last day of the window " so lets see what the next two days bring, it should be interesting .

Peter Lawell and the rest of the staff at CP are doing their best trying to compete with teams in europe that have funds to burn. How many middle east billionaires do you see investing in scottish football? If we all take the blinkers off then we may see that they are trying to implement the ajax model, as far as scouting and building the academy, so that we will be able to move forward long term.

Ed you seem to know a lot about if he could go or not so I think you had to do some research which I think you know or have heard something and are not telling until its final maybe. I'm starting to think wanyama is off and seeing someone say he wasn't at training and over in man united with a 14.5 mill deal, good money but would have loved to watch him live at cp when I head over.

Just wondering your thoughts on a sell on in any bids, do you think 20% would be realistic to demand given his talent? {Ed007's Note - It is just the work permit rules.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes they are doing an Ajax, but at what point when the debt is not there ? the production line of players brings in 25 million with the sale of ki, hooper and vic plus champs league money comes in and we are still spending 400 k on players that you think Peter Lawell is not doing a good job for Celtic ? or are you a fan ? or a share holder ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone keeps mentioning the Ajax model but they don't seem to realise that model is not by choice, Ajax are a shadow of the great side they once were ( 3 European cups in a row etc) and the fact is that every time Ajax bring a class player through the ranks the Man Cities of the world come in and offer funny money for the player with personal terms that Ajax couldn't begin to match and he's off, the vast majority of Ajax fans would rather build a great side again than develop players for other teams, also reading this forum it should be renamed accountants rumours as all talk is about money and not building a great Celtic side again ( I am old enough to remember when we were probably the best club side in the world) and those memories are worth all the money in the world, sorry rant over.

Ed just saw that the Kenyan fa said that wanyama is off to one of the 2 biggest club in the world, this can't be right is it? And I so that means barca or real or man utd(prob man united be but can't see them talking about arsenal) so I guess it is epl most likely. If thisd is true I hope that it is over 10mill with add ons and a big sell on. 15mill with good sell on would make me happy, seeing how wanyama played today as he looked like he didn't want to get hurt or go in for a harsh tackle and what Lennon said about switching things up maybe it's happening? Hope not for if he plays well against juve we could demand more in summer but would like to keep him for another year or so. {Ed007's Note - It is still only the same two clubs that have a concrete interest in the player, Arsenal and Man Utd. Nyamweya must mean Man Utd because Vic is already at the other biggest club in the world :-) As of 09.00 a.m this morning there has been no bids made for Wanyama.}
