Apparently Lenny was away to Germany tonight. I had a look at the fixtures and noticed Monchengladbach (excuse the spelling) were playing. I hope he wasnt going to speak to that striker, Idrissou, who never turned up for his trial? What u think Ed?

Jamie {Ed007's Note - I checked that as well Jamie.}

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Idrissou was not in todays match squad hence if that were true it would be a wasted trip, would much prefer bangura, looks a raw talent but still good

Good evening EDuardo. I've had a wee think and I think that a left back on loan til january is the best option. That way charlie mulgrew can play beside big kelvin rather than drop out of the team because he is one of the best examples I've seen of a player making the most of a second chance. An absolute star performer this season. P.S. I would eight two be an arsenal fan tonight lol
Kevbhoy {Ed007's Note - I totally agree with you about Mulgrew Kev, he is a totally different player since the first time he was here. I'm covering the Arsenal site just now, they are not happy campers at all, I need to watch what I say as the Man Utd editor though.}

Does anyone think that if the rumors are true we are about to sign players, the board and Lennon think we are going to get into the Europa group stage? Just a thought Johnbhoy first time poster {Ed007's Note - Welcome to the site John.}

Believable6 Unbelievable2

If the board are spending money then I think they have a fair idea we are getting reinstated in europa league. But could be loans or free transfers or even players leaving.

If the alleged £8.5million bid from Russia for Ki has been made, I'm not saying it has, then we must take it

I would then really expect our board to keep £4million of it to cover the potential Europa League loss of earnings, use £2million of it to get this Bangura player and then spent the remaining £2-3million to get that quality centre back we so desperately need to play alongside Kelvin Wilson.

The right guy alongside Kelvin, with Rogne as choice number 3, Wanyama number 4, Dan number 5 and Glenda number 6 would be an ideal situation as we go forward in taking back the title off Rangers.

Hail Hail

Believable13 Unbelievable12

I tihkn wanyama could be the answer with k.wilson he was argubly our best player against st johnstone

Agree0 Disagree0

Lots of rumours now about a bid for ki from a russian side , if its like the mcgeady bid it will be excepted just as long as lennon gets the money for other signingsAS

Agree0 Disagree0

Neil Lennon wont accept anything under 10 million ki has a price tag of 10 - 12 million

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure Celtic should sell Ki any time soon. Celtic have become extremely popular in korea. Nike stores are lined with celtic kits.

Hi Ed, one of my friends, who works at the money exchange in Glasgow airport, has just txt me that ki and cha were in there at around 6 p.m.
He was apparently going to London, possibly something to do with the reported bid from Russia.
Also I have heard that we are interested in taking Paul Dixon from Dundee united for the season, I personally think this would be brilliant cover for LB. Any news on the ki situation or the potential striker Lennon is away to look at tonight Ed?
Nickybhoy {Ed007's Note - I thought the Ki story was just a regurgitation of an old story when CSKA Moscow and Spartak Moscow showed interest, this was about the time NL came out and valued him at £10 million. The striker is rumoured to play in the Bundesliga.}

Believable6 Unbelievable8

Do you not think the players are off to play for their country?They would have to fly to London to catch their flight to Korea.

Jungle Bhoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ki & cha are off on international duty with south korea thats maybe why they r in glasgow airport catching a flight to london and then onwards to korea

Agree0 Disagree0

On twitter, someone on way back from holiday spotted Ki & Cha at heathrow and asked ki what was going down and he said "No Comment" - if it was a bid then not sure why Cha would be with him?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ki probably no got a clue what the guy is talking about lol, the guy barely speaks a word of English lol, probably been told to say that whenever someone asks him something he doesn't knw lol, I think maybe your reading into this a little much, as cha isn't his agent but his international team mate lol

Cumby Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Sep 2nd South Korea v Lebanon Seoul WC Qual
Sep 6 Kuwait v South Korea WC Qual
Can't see him going via Russia but if 8 million bid comes in, Celtic (quite rightly so) will bite their hand off

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a cert ki is wanted by some ruski club for funny money too the board will snap this up and who can blame them does anone think hes a 8-10 mill player me neither cheers but later ki. Also my bird (shes a trolley dolly) seen him at the airport guys hes offski

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt Lennon's off to Germany to watch anyone tonight cause there was only a handful of games played and they are all finished already. Maybe it's just talks

Agree0 Disagree0

Eho the striker in bundesliga were after only one i think off is prob idrissou the guy that was invited to trial but i would like it to be kleissling hes dynamite {Ed007's Note - If Bangura is due in tomorrow I would question the reliability about NL flying to Germany, but that is what has been touted around.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Cumby, Ki actually speaks fluent english, as he lived in australia for part of his life. {Ed007's Note - Didn't he use an English name while in Australia? David or Daniel maybe? I remember reading something about it a while ago.}

Agree0 Disagree0

This is encouraging, hopefully we'll finally sign a striker

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic came out that they are not selling ki why sell your best player and i no clubs are interested in him but they wont sell him this season

Agree0 Disagree0

All clubs will sell there best talent if the money is right look at ronaldo at man utd for instance,,,fabregas at arsenal ,,, miller at rangers....8.5m i would drive him there myself we could get 2/3 players with that...in lenny we trust

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe its not a striker hes off to see in germany maybe a replacement for ki??? {Ed007's Note - A CB I thought at first.}

Agree0 Disagree0

In 2001, Ki was sent to Australia by his father, who believed that Ki could play football and learn to speak English.[3] He played the bulk of his youth career at John Paul College in Brisbane under the BSP (Brain Soccer Program) overseen by Jeff Hopkins. He was part of the team that won the U-15 Nationals (Bill Turner Cup) for John Paul College in 2004. Ki received offers in 2005 from Korean club FC Seoul and also A-League club Brisbane Roar, but decided to move back to South Korea to continue his career. Since then, Ki has been a fluent English speaker. He went by his English name David in Australia

Agree0 Disagree0

Think it might be mainz defender christian fuchs think thats his name 6"2 defender {Ed007's Note - He has signed for Schalke 04.}

Agree0 Disagree0

It was david ed, I remember reading a statement form ki soon after he signed about it. {Ed007's Note - Thanks, and to whoever posted the bio part.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Regarding Ki i really wish he was playing the withdrawn role that he played in so well at the start of the season rather than the attacking role he has been playing lately

Agree0 Disagree0

I but ki wasn't taught Glaswegian lol that's a totally different language lol

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd take Dixon as a back up to Mulgrew and a 3rd choice LB once Izzy is back to be fair.

If, and its a big if, we sign Dixon, he should go straight in at LB with Mulgrew moving into the centre of defence beside Wilson

This was put on the SSN website at 5.50. So hope it's true.

Celtic are poised to sign AIK Stockholm striker Mohamed Bangura.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon is keen to bolster his attacking options before the close of the transfer window and he has lined up a deal for Bangura.

It is believed former Celtic star Henrik Larsson and ex-AIK manager Stuart Baxter have recommended Bangura to the Hoops following his goalscoring exploits in Sweden.
Bangura has netted seven goals in 19 games this term and his form has attracted the interest of a host of clubs across Europe.

However, Celtic are in pole position to land Bangura with the Scottish giants believed to have agreed a fee of 2.5million (£2.2million) for the forward.

Bangura is expected to travel to Scotland on Monday to hold talks and undergo a medical at Parkhead ahead of securing his move to Glasgow.

David Templeton is a great player, wouldnt mind him coming to paradise

Believable19 Unbelievable7

The problem with templeton would be he and Jamie forrest are both very quick direct wingers, signing templeton would directly harm forrests development

Junglebhoy33

Agree0 Disagree0

Would that be David "Cooper" Templeton..... the HUGE Gers fans?? Nah, keep him, we already have better {Ed007's Note - He is a CFC fan, his dad was a Rangers fan hence the middle name, but his mothers side are all CFC fans and so is he.}

Rather interestingly, Alan Thompson gave the post match interview today. He was quoted as saying that Neil Lennon was on "club business." hopfully a striker and attacking midfielder in cos i reckon wanyama will be a good cb............... att/mid hopfully maybe tim cahill and is good with his head and striker maybe the boy de negris or bangura?? do u think thats the reason lenny didnt do interview ed?? maybe couple of players coming in? {Ed007's Note - It quite possibly could be, but I doubt it has anything to do with Tim Cahill.}

Believable4 Unbelievable8

Yeah I think we were meant to have two signings in their hospitality today. Hope we get in someone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought he might have went to the rangers game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on, be realistic Tim Cahill would never in a million years come to play in Scotland, plus the blatantly obvious fact that he is well, well out of our price range.

Barrybhoy {Ed007's Note - Bangura has reportedly applied to fly to the UK with Blackburn and another EPL team (AV/Everton??) also interested. With regards to Bellamy I have been told that CFC and City have been in contact regarding the player but there is definite interest from LFC and Spurs.}

Believable11 Unbelievable5

Rumours are 80% nonsense 15% conjecture and 5% with any truth whatsoever. Whilst mildly amusing it gets very boring very quickly. 8.5 million bid for ki from an unnamed club

Believable16 Unbelievable8

If this ki thing is true the board will bite there hand aff 8 million for an unproven player Mental but aye defo take it and use the bucks to buy a well needed CB and CF for sure We can all agree on that. And after listening to the billy buns they're not in any great shape at all. Learn by our mistakes and sort it now sign the two or even three players we need and the league is ours for sure Plus get Kayal signed up asap the last few games have shown us he's our best player by miles, always fighting always first to the ball great player we'll be lucky to keep him for a season or two before some of the big boys come in and snap him up. He could walk into any EPL team defo even Barca or Real, telling you he will be a future superstar. Hail Hail and keep the faith

Ok we didn't play well today, but we didn't need to! We played well within ourselves after taking an early 2-0 lead. There was no need to go chasing the game. Yeh its nice to see us scoring 4 or 5 but credit to st mirren who at least went out and played a bit of football rather than sit back with everyone behind the ball. The 3 points are the important thing, the performances we want to see will follow in weeks to come.

DD

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Very true mate, too many deluded halfwits on here

Agree0 Disagree0

Deluded nothing yes we won but we were played off the pitch which is pretty embarrassing lennon didnt make a change till very late again i respect lennon but as much as a win is good we all want to see good football not get played off the pitch by a team who will finish in the bottom six dont you wanna see decent football aswell as winning

Agree0 Disagree0

We are such a hard lot to please. If, after taking a 2 goal lead we continued to press and St Mirren scored we would have slaughtered the team. Instead they kept the lead by playing controlled football, How many good or even half chances did St Mirren have for all their possession. On the other hand their keeper made 4 or 5 good saves, especially second half. Not to mention a Stokes goal in the opening minutes that was wrongly chalked off.

We didn't play amazing , we didn't have to. We played sensibly and won the game comfortably

Believable2 Unbelievable9

Ok guys so we did the job today at st Mirren not pretty but job done. brown again didnt turn up, ki again dodgy in and out of the game and surprise surprise dan the dope was shocking when will lenny see this guy could cost him his job and us the league Please get rid of Dan and Sam if we can all see it week in week out why cant he??

Got a question. Can we sign anyone with the London stock market closed until Tuesday? Do we as a PLC have to announce to them first?

Jamie B {Ed007's Note - I don't think it has any effect on transfers that the stock exchange is closed.}

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Ed, you are right. The stock market being closed has no impact on the clubs ability on conducting transfer business. Anyway if memory serves me correctly (which is open to question) Celtic are not a full blown plc. we are listed on the AIM market (Alernative Investment Market).

On a different note I live and work in sweden in Hedemora Dalarna and only get back 5 or six times a year to see the boys I watch swedish football and to be honest its sh-te the guy at AIK looks good but not all lumps of coal are diamonds. 2 million not on my nelly, hope im wrong and by no means not the point man we need

I always thought Dan would need another strong def CB beside him to take the pressure off but he hasn't improved. Time to go big man and let Rogne form a partnership with Wilson. Take Sammy,Loovens and Maloney with you.

Richybhoy

Believable18 Unbelievable1

Well said. Would like to give Rogne his chance but looks to have glass legs that shatter after the slightest touch. Time to cut our losses on a few players I think. Even offer them payoffs to go if we cant sell them before tuesday.

Does anyone else find it slightly disturbing that we are been outplayed by St Mirren? Yeah we're winning but in terms of football, they're p*ssing over the top of us

BigGiv43

Believable11 Unbelievable4

Its very disturbing,and i cant beleive majstorovich is playin again he is absolutely terrible

Agree0 Disagree0

It's more than slightly disturbing its positively ALARMING This team is filling me with dread for the season ahead, I seriously doubt we will win ANYTHING this season the way we are playing, I can't even see us finishing top 3. Hope I'm totally wrong, I love Celtic but this is as poor as I've seen us for many years

How Lenny doesn't see Stokes as Hoopers ideal partner I'll never know. They read each others game better than any strikeforce we've had since Henrik and Sutton.

Didnt realise how good Ledley is until he didnt play today...Badly missed..We are supposed to have the strongest midfield in scotland yet St mirren are playing us of the park in midfield WTF

Believable13 Unbelievable1

Completely agree mate. They are knocking the ball about and finding space through the middle and we're struggling to string 2 passes together and then humping it long. Big Dan is horrific

BigGiv43

Agree0 Disagree0

He's the type of palyer who is only noticed when missing. Quietly efficient and allows others to play.

Agree0 Disagree0

I said if he wasn't injured for the last few games last year we'd have won the title. Drop Brown instead

Agree0 Disagree0

Lenny is playing to many cmf players in the one team theres no need for it , we need wingers bombing up and down the wings. need a bit of balance to the midfield and we wld be fine. no point playing all these players out of there positions.
