Hope so! Would be a very ambitious move, and on a free as well so we could probably table some very nice wages.

If this signing goes through, I presume big wages. Do you reckon a change in wage structure at Parkhead?

I'm all for an increase, however we all know pedro keeps the finances within budget. Larger pay packets mean (should mean) better quality, better quality should mean CL qualification. However will we be spending to accumulate?

Also if a youngster comes in on top dollar, what will the rest of the squad say? Do we end up increasing the contract of the rest of them? Let's be fair apart from KT I didn't see anyone merit a wage increase after last years dross.

(Maybe Eric)

You would imagine that we would offer a bit more to him as he is out of contract and the chances of selling him on for a good profit should he perform. Not sure of how the structure works but you would think that with potential CL football and the chance of playing in a Glasgow Derby that £20-£25k would be enough!

Discussion on RTE 2 tonight after England were lucky to lose to a determined Icelandic team by just one goal . Remember was it Hamann who played for Liverpool and Germany, he said the premier league paying youngsters £100k per week were destroying them . He says Germany and Spain would pay a aweful lot less and players will come through better with the hunger .
So if Dembele is in anyway money orientated we have no chance, but we might just make a better footballer out of him .

I think if we can get Dembele and the imminent announcement of Ibrahimovic coming to the hoops, we have the makings of a pretty strong forward line.
