If those players on that park were as angry as I am just now we wouldn't lose games like the won we lost tonight. Absolutely raging, no matter how little this game means in the grand scheme of things. F*cking gave motherwell they're second goal.

This isn't a knee jerk reaction by the way but Efe Ambrose is the worst bomb scare defender we have had since Olivier Tebily. He is an absolute rocket! Dives in and commits himself too easily, takes too many touches, kamikaze charges out from the back, loses concentration, causes danger where there isn't any and basically causes panic for anyone around him. He is a bad defender because he has absolutely no football brain at all and therefore no way of reading the game.

Motherwell are sh*te, and we managed to make McFadden look like he had a good game. How bad does that rate this performance tonight. They get rolled over by lesser teams on a regular basis at fir park but we went there and let them bully us at times. Kayal volleying one of them was the first sign of a fight I have seen in this Celtic team for months (Not that i'm praising that particular tackle). No fight at hampden against St. Mirren, Bullied at perth in the second half as soon as St. Johnstone started putting it about and again tonight I felt we are just too soft. There is a pattern there, no doubt about it. Listen i'm not saying I want Celtic to turn into Stoke and start winning games through brute strength and with a brash style of play but we need to have the tough side about us so when they start it, we f*ckin end it! Even Barca the most elegant footballing team on the planet don't hide when the tackles start flying in. Wee guys like Iniesta and Xavi start getting in players faces and giving it back. To me we just look soft sometimes. And f*ck me, if that absolute donkey Michael Higdon scores against us again i'm going to give watching Celtic v Motherwell matches a bye for the rest of my life. Embarrassing.

Please give Rami Gershon a chance ahead of Billy Ocean and the optimistically wantaway dumpling Thomas Rogne against St. Mirren for the sake of our scottish cup chances Lennon.

Listen folks the facts are the facts, when you look at a performance like tonight and realise that Kelvin Wilson would improve the centre of your defence you have got to be honest with yourself and admit that the weak part of our Celtic side is the same part that has been weak for about 6 or 7 years now. We need to scout and pay for quality at the back for the first time since Martin O'Niell was manager. 2 quality international centre halves with big Forster behind them would make the whole team better. A sense of security and confidence in our defensive line. I can guarantee we wouldn't lose the daft hampden finals and semi-finals against lesser opponents that we do. We would batter teams like motherwell away from home like we know we can. We give teams goals and its feeds the other teams with the belief they can score against us too. The goals we are giving away are criminal. Dundee should have had at least 2 at Celtic park in the first half alone on sunday from hesitant, negligent defending. The Juve game was a damning indictment of the talent our Central defenders have as footballers.

Forget Motherwell tonight, to grow and improve we need to address the problem we have had for a long time now. I sincerely hope the summer transfer window brings the players we need.

I agree with most if not all your Views on the team, but the fact is Lennon has got more heart than the whole lot of them put together as he said these players are begging for a game and when he gives them a chance they sh"t on him he needs too follow through on his threats and rid are club of dead wood, my personal view is start bonding the young ones now Lenny and Build a team that wants too play for Celtic and not a payday,

Listen son, if Celtic were in the Premiership with the following we have, no debt, and handed 60 odd million per year we would buy top class players and be chasing a champions league place within 2 seasons. Wilson and Gershon are the best two central defenders we have at the club at the moment and they should be starting every game until the end of the season.

Hink the comments about ambrose r a bit harsh fair enough he's made mistakes past few games but a didn't hear anyone moaning about his performances in the nou camp or at home tae barca or any other cl games thers 10 other guys oan the park no just him

Efe just had two months of tough hard football, in a continental tournament, needing a lot of mental concentration. Which he won. He played excellent before and during that tournament but has come back to us physically and mentally drained. He needs a break.

Look at every goal conceded in the championsleague while ambrose was on the park.

Gunniebhoy I'm afraid your only as good or as bad as your last game, Efe was terrible against Motherwell cost us a goal by losing the ball because he tried to play football, not good enough to do that, was better when he just humped it the way he was facing, sworry but he doe's worry me when he trie's to play football

Joke performance from everyone bar Forrest. If Rogne ever plays for us again then I give up. He is one of the most inept footballers I've seen playing for Celtic in a long time. He just gives me a heart attack every time the ball the ball is near him and when he gets the ball at his feet or on his head he just humps it anywhere. And he turns down a contract. see you pal. Izzy is a por defender and Ambrose's confidence looks shot after Juve but he is a player. Rogic looked well off the pace as well. These guys don't seem to realise that this makes their whole year beating us. Get Mulgrew at left back, wilson and efe in centre defense, matthews or lustig at right back and get ledley, vic, forrest and commons in midfield with sammy and hoops up front. After that get wee dylan involved more as he looked hungry every time I see him. Also, give Tony Watt for game time. The rest, well I just don't know. Very, very disappointed tonight with that, just not good enough. martyc1888

Watching the game and the commentary got it right. There was only one team who had the desire to win the game tonight and that was Motherwell. They were more up for the game than we were. It is as if players were thinking more of not getting injured for the games against St Mirren and Juventus. Every player should want to win every tackle in every game not pick and choose.

Not to pick on Ambrose (again)! The best yet tho, comes on to play CH and within 5 mins switched to mid. because he's Feckin hopeless ha ha how long does it take?

Ps. Rogne was/is shocking too, for a defender in this age not to be able to pass the ball, short or long is bad patter! So although Ambrose is gash I'm not just having ago again! He's gash end of: Motherwell deserved the win and wanted it more, well done for having a go. Stokes? Who?

I agree 100% that was awful all round tonight but yet again we are showing we don't half condemn players in an instant of any poor form. My mate who is a shocker for that kinda carry on was having a huge moan he said he wanted izzy sold after 30mins of the game its a trait to our fans I detest. Now ambrose is getting the whole carthorse stick. In saying that I hope st mirren game is a rocket up them gally

Watching the Motherwell game on tv.

Although pretty poor all round (43 mins gone) Stokes looks absolutely hopeless!

On this showing he is no great loss going forward. Poor touch, poor decisions, doesn't stick - he is having an absolute mare.

Something that is becoming a habit since he returned.

Firstly I fail to see where the original poster was making fun of anyone. As far as I can see he was just making us aware of a story he heard regarding a possible testimonial for Stevey G coinciding with Champions league qualifiers. Secondly As an Arsenal fan I would be very careful challenging Celtic fans in any debate about being Huge clubs. We have a long and prestigious history both domestically and abroad and have a huge fan base whilst being hampered with having to play in this "massive joke" of a league. If we were afforded the riches of being carried on the shirt tails of the likes of Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea for the last 10 years you would maybe see the true comparison of a huge club.
