If as said PL has been in mainland Europe then for me the Striker he should be bursting the bank for PHILIPP HOSINER. Been mentioned on here before and I my opinion he's the man to fill the gap left by Hooper. What do you all think?

Daz the Hoopy

Believable12 Unbelievable11

Yeah would be looking to get him now after Rudnevs apparently knocked back a move, shows a bit of ambition from us. Pk1888

Agree0 Disagree0

How much would he be available for 2.5m or something?

kieran

Agree0 Disagree0

Really doesn't matter what we think mate. They will not break the bank for anyone. Quite right in my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hoffenheim have had a €2.75m bid rejected for Hosiner. Austria Vienna want €4m.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope this is true about hosiner or finnbogason, both look class and are available for about 4-5 million euros. I know neil has said we won't spend 6 or seven million on a player but hopefully we could go as far as 5 for a class player

Agree0 Disagree0

Its the same every year we will end up with a un heard of striker

Peter Lawwell is in Holland right now speaking to SC Heerenveen about Alfreð Finnbogason. I am hearing they have agreed a fee of £4.5m plus add ons. Hope they managed to agree personal terms. This guys quality.

Believable16 Unbelievable16

I wish lol but he's out our price range

Out our price range? You having a laugh mate we just made 40m from last 16 and selling wanyama and hooper we could easily afford him!

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on am fed up people saying out of our price range were probably only team in gb debt free.

Agree1 Disagree0

What he meant was PL was a stingy git so no way would part with that sort of money. Would rather mislead the fans again like his puppet Neil.

Iain

Agree0 Disagree0

Please please please be true this guy is superb and would in my view guarantee goals and plenty of them.
Gally

Agree0 Disagree0

This guy would fit the bill perfectly, pace, strength and knows where the net is and still young, about time we went and gave the fans a big money signing to get excited about

Agree0 Disagree0

He scored 24 in 23 in the Dutch league! Bony cost Swansea 12 m and that scoring is as consistant as his we can not afford him! It's a business I'd say we could afford 4/5 m but he will much more expensive than that

SOS BHOY

Agree0 Disagree0

Remember we get this 40m in installments over the next couple of years.

Danjam

Agree0 Disagree0

I really don't think that's out of our price range. Don't diss PL, the mans doing a bang up job.

Quack

Agree0 Disagree0

@danjam

We will also be paying out any transfer fees in instalments.

I've heard PL is in Belgium trying to negotiate a deal to bring Jelle Vossen to Celtic. Ed have you heard anything about this? Are we interested in him?

Also good luck at Norwich Gary. Will miss you in the Hoops

Peter lawells in schipnol airport Amsterdam heading from or to where? Is this used as a hub airport so it might not be a Dutch player it could be German / Belgian. Anybody any ideas maybe the Stuttgart striker? Jimayr

Believable1 Unbelievable9

Can only hope/wish it's jelle vossen

Agree0 Disagree0

Anybody else think that Lawell might just be going for one of Paul Slanes world famous parties? In all seriousness though I still think this squad has enough firepower to see off Elfsborg. The biggest problem we will face will be their much higher levels of match fitness than us

Agree0 Disagree1

Seen that on the huddleboard earlier. Get the money out PL
john88

Agree0 Disagree0

Elfsborg ain't no st johnstone trust me that kind of arrogance has destoyed many a euro campaign. al geri.

Agree2 Disagree0

Maybe he just popped over for a coffee? Always works for me. green jhedi

Agree1 Disagree1

Posted a few weeks back and have it on good authority that we will move for pierre-michel lassoga from hertha berlin 21 6f 2 average goal every 3 games ideal replacement for hooper

green hornet

Agree0 Disagree1

Well he's got the best part of £15m in his back burner so maybe away for a good time down the red light district.

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be anyone, as you say Schipol is a hub. I really hope it's Alfred Finnbogason though!
CBP

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe he went to see his girlfriend sweet Mary jane

Agree1 Disagree0

He wouldn't have to go to the dam, shes evrywhere in his home city, ., .kbarry

Hi ed has Celtic made an approach for any striker yet {Ed007's Note - PL has been over in mainland Europe for the last few days, so I would say yes they have approached clubs/players.}

Believable3 Unbelievable4

To little to late the same mistakes we really have to get a history of celtic.degree. if you get on the board of celtic.you must pass it. professor lawell. l.o.l.if you didn't know wanyama, hooper were offski, you should be on the mooooon, did we get any replacments in? no.if we go out to the swedes, and there is a fair chance, lawell and his little poodle have to go. 40 mill in, 3 mill spent, a sad, sad, very sad, lack of our history shown.could say more but can't be arsed.al geri seeen iiit aaal before,,,,,,,,,,,,

Who is PL's little poodle mate?, ., .kbarry

Hi ed just wondering is the rumours true about Aidan mcgeady joining Celtic again {Ed007's Note - No.}

Believable2 Unbelievable13

Cant believe you answered that Ed.
How can a rumour be true, ., .kbarry {Ed007's Note - Good point, I've never looked at like that. Just shows what a considerate and pleasant guy I actually am :-)

Hi ed, do we still have an interest in Billy Sharp?

Tommybhoy03 {Ed007's Note - Not that I know of Tommy. From what I have been told it will either be Doncaster Rovers or Bristol City he will join. He is worshipped in Doncaster and he is very close friends with Bristol City manager Sean O'Driscoll - so they would seem likely as he has never picked clubs on who pays the most - when he joined Doncaster originally he turned down double the money at a number of clubs.
Reading have spoken to his advisors, but it's not clear how the talks went, and Billy Davies at Forest is not keen apparently, so it won't be them.}
