Well I called the Dylan McGeouch situation miles wrong as it looks like the club have triggered the years extension in his contract. My bad, sorry lads.

I'd have thought the signing of GMS would have killed off any chance he had.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - And it should put the silly Scott Allan rumour to bed once and for all. With the players we already have, McGeouch resigning and young Aiden Nesbitt coming through where would Allan fit into our squad? I can't see McGeouch signing up if he wasn't going to be given a chance, obviously what he done at Hibs has convinced RD to give him that chance.}

25 Jun 2015 18:46:06
We will put it down to the old age ed

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - That's probably as good an excuse as any the way I've been feeling lately.}

25 Jun 2015 20:00:35
I think Allan is a good player but would be nothing more than a squad player for us, for that reason I see no point in signing him. In addition, the Hibs games I watched last season, McGeouch was there best player.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I've been trying to tell them on the Hibs site about Allan, one of them even reckons he's better than Johansen!}

25 Jun 2015 20:12:59
ED007 do you think the other young lads Fisher, McGregor and Henderson are in Delia's plans also?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I get the impression that RD doesn't fancy Fisher and a question mark is hanging over McGregor imo, he played well in the Euro qualifiers last season and now he can't even make the bench, that tells you how far we've came in a year. Henderson is due back next week from Rosenberg so we'll probably find out what's happening with him then but I'm sure he'll be part of the plans unless he is looking to move. I would be disappointed if Henderson left, I think he has a lot to offer and could play a big part domestically if we have a Euro campaign in our schedule.
I'd say we won't be looking to actively unload any of the three and unless there are bids coming in they will be given until January at least to prove themselves.}

I am the only one that thinks that Dylan getting the final year of his contract activated that he might now be used as bait in getting Allan? I really hope not he's good but where would he play? Armstrong will play more in the middle this season if needed and genders on as well. And he could lace starts boots and hasn't the potential as young liam

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Do you really think a player would sign a new deal so that his club could use him as part of another deal? For a start he would be miss out on money and if he didn't know the plan the club would - and rightly should - get torn apart for toying with a young man's career.}

25 Jun 2015 21:12:15
I think the Allen story is just lazy journalism. There will be many others where TRFC are challenging CFC for players.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 22:55:59
He never signed a new deal celtic activated the 1 year extension

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's not slavery mate, the player and his agent have an input. If CFC get rid of McGeouch in this window behind his back (a la Tony Watt) there would be repercussions. It doesn't give a good impression to young players you're trying to sign if you're seen to be treating them than no more than movable assets, it would also go against everything RD has said about nurturing young players.}

I think Henderson needs a season on loan in the SPL! Let's us keep a close eye on him and regular first team football to develop even more we can't give him the games he needs

I hear Henderson is injured ED, do u know the damage?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - He was taken off in Rosenborg's last game as a precaution after taking a knock. I don't think it's anything too serious.}

26 Jun 2015 23:33:17
Cheers Ed hope so I really rate this guy.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Me too mate, if it was up to me he'd be a big part of our future, I think he could turn into a top player.}

27 Jun 2015 10:44:12
Like all of you I also rate Henderson but think he may have to bide his time to get a place in the team.

Going on last season I would say that Deila thinks his best 5 in midfield are:

Brown Biton

GMS Johansen Armstrong

At the moment I don't think Henderson is better than any of these players but I do think he has the potential to become a first team player for us.

Celtic were on Wednesday night closing in on a deal for Manchester United teenager Saidy Janko.

The Switzerland Under 19 international is poised to become Ronny Deila's second capture of the transfer window following the arrival of Manchester City defender Derdryck Boyata.

Primarily a right back Janko can also play a right-sided attacking role.

I hope this is not true
A To short with Issy on the left we need a tall right back
B What is wrong with Fisher been given a good run
C If Mathews was a player we were considering moving on then why were we not chasing Simon O'Donnell from Thistle who was tall athletic now has good experience and knows Celtic, I know he did not make it the first time but he is 3 years older now.
Anyone who saw him last year could see he was one of the best right backs in the country

Pleasantly shocked that this is a permanent deal. Remember him being branded the next Alaba bla bla when Utd signed him. Caught him a few times in the Barclays U21 Premier and a couple other games and the boy does look a talent and a half. He's a machine. When it comes to picking up young players this is a very shrewd signing. Just surprised it's a permanent deal. Ed why are Utd so keen to sell? Is it LVG's system doesn't have a future spot for him?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Utd aren't keen to sell they wanted him to sign a new deal.}

25 Jun 2015 13:28:04
Ed is this janko guy any better than what we currently have.or is this one for the future.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - I've not seen enough of him but he's highly rated with Utd supporters.}

25 Jun 2015 13:47:16
@Jonace, Maybe Izzy is getting replaced with someone taller. Also, Ronny wouldn't take a player on if he didn't think he had something to offer. Maybe he just rates him more highly than Fisher.

{Ed007's Note - Ashley Cole? Fran Sandaza? Rod Fanni? The last one isn't a girl's name but it's female related and perfectly describes one of my hobbies when I was younger! (tmi)

25 Jun 2015 15:58:51
What hobby ed sandazaing lol

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I've done a fair bit of sand dancing on Ayr beach after spending the night in Hangar 13!}

25 Jun 2015 16:56:16
Ha ha I bet you have . I used to drink in the anfield hotel when I visited ayr great little hotel

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - I can't really remember much of being in Ayr back in the 90s if I'm honest.}

25 Jun 2015 17:51:25
Aw Come on Ed a man of your intellect can't remember? Are you being selective here as we aw know Ayrshire is zombie infested lol

And with your's (and mine) favourite sport being muff diving too

Neither of us can blame it on the drink so it is much easier mate to be as a said selective (y)

But we ran a bus from Paisley to Bobby Jones nightclub doon there in the early 90s some memories

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I remember Bobby Jones and Club De Mer or De Mar, and wasn't there someplace called The Metro or something like that as well? There used to be a bus that ran to FUBAR in Stirling on a Saturday as well, that was a good night out up there.
I remember going through to Ayr to play golf at the Irvine Golf Club a couple of times and not having a clue where I was in the daylight and with a straight head.}

25 Jun 2015 19:14:57
All my yesterday's mate lol Club de Mar as well yeah there were a pub round about there to that had mirror walls a walked right into it first time thinking the pub was bigger than it was lol and with me being a right poser it went down like the Titanic!

Never been to a night out that far up (Stirling) although Hamilton Palace nearer your neck of the woods brings back good memories too as well as Hamilton racecourse believe it or not! Ended up with a tart out there that had spent time in Oz and had a chunk out her thigh as she had been bitten by a SHARK ffs!

As a said Ed all our yesterday's mate :-)

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I've got oot ma face up and down the UK lol Hamilton Palace was just a cattle market and probably still is. I can remember Park Lane and The Rococco although I must have been only 15 or 16 when I was going into them.}

25 Jun 2015 19:18:00
Toot toot for the good times had in the old Ayr piv (hanger13) and the metro in Saltcoats haha the memories

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2015 12:02:54
Never went to Hanger 13 but used to love the Metro and Rez. Was also some good clubs in Glasgow like Tin Pan Alley, Heaven, Hacienda and Peggy Sues.
