Read online that olympiakos are in for efe and we are looking at paddy mcnair on a year loan deal.

25 Jul 2016 23:12:32
Should only be taking loans if there is an option to buy.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Jul 2016 23:36:06
Not sure I agree. I would take 2 or 3 decent loans over average players on the cheap, think our squad has enough of them.

Deneyar was a decent loan.

Rogic away?
Selling to buy?
Would rather he stayed.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

25 Jul 2016 19:04:54
If he goes so be it good player one of the better if I'm being honest but has never been fit enough for us.

25 Jul 2016 19:11:38
There must be a few in front of him they want rid off, I know we have to shift a few players, but we must have saved a few bob on the wages already.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2016 19:33:37
If we're selling to buy it better be a ruddy good buy because although I'm pleased with Dembele and Toure so far, we haven't actually shelled that much out.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Jul 2016 19:38:26
CPRS1

There must be at least a dozen we need rid off, and the sooner the better, I know getting a fee would be ideal, but even off load them free transfer, freeing up Jerseys and wages, getting rid of the mediocre players and crap. Quality not quantity.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Jul 2016 19:42:17
About 500k shelled out so far, and wages of course. Sinclair deal will get done I reckon, need a good c/ mid after that.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2016 19:43:47
I agree Gordo he always looks knackered. Does he quite fit our shape/ system? He certainly fits a system and CD said we'd see different systems and styles but perhaps just not Tommy's.

That's what I would have thought cprs, but perhaps he's the only one anybody has come in for since! And BR has players in his sights he'd prefer.

I can't find anything on this though :/.

25 Jul 2016 19:50:39
So where does Rogic in the pecking order atm if we are looking to sell him, 4th or 5th. don't see him being any higher than that?

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2016 20:07:51
I don't think we are selling to buy. there's no way BR would have taken the job if he didn't get assurences that money was available. he said so in his first interview. if Rogic is away it's either because he wants out or BR has seen enough of him and he's not in his plans.

Mate of mine told me rogic supposed to be one of the players leaving couple days ago. Shame If it's true I thought he was a good player.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2016 21:14:34
Rogic has obvious quality but he can't last 90 minutes, can fade in and out of games at times and won't be up to the high pressing game that BR prefers, he has 1 year left on his contract and I'm sure he rejected a new contract offer earlier this year, makes sense to offload In my opinion.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Jul 2016 21:49:43
Be gutted if rogic goes but if he doesn't want to sign a new contract then punt him.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2016 23:07:16
Rogic in my opinion is one of our better players I hope he is not away don't know why he doesn't get a full game? Is he not fit enough for 90minutes don't know but if it was up to me I would keep him.

Kelleher goes out on loan.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

25 Jul 2016 19:32:19
I would, there's too many ahead of him here just now and the right move will do him the world of good. Where's he off?

Ed do u know if there is any actual interest in patrick Bamford,?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Bamford is for sale and Chelsea would rather that but will send him out on loan if they can't find a buyer, I'm not aware of any Celtic interest in him.
While we're talking about Chelsea, Nathaniel Chalobah is with the first team squad in the United States so right now there will be no decision made - keep in mind that the new manager has only been with the club two weeks.
We still haven't agreed a fee with Aston Villa for Sinclair so God knows where stories about medicals etc came from - probably Twitter.}

25 Jul 2016 13:23:52
Totally agree btw no how could a player have an arranged medical when the clubs valuations are so far apart. I smell sh#@e.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2016 15:12:22
if the Bamford rumours are true, now we know why Celtic are bringing out a pink strip lol.

Football club CEO's work in different ways than us who are normal and not so normal .
My father was a cattle dealer and I remember him very openly arranging transport home for animals that he was trying to buy, yet his bid and the sellers asking price were miles apart . The seller seemed to be often distracted by the transport arrangement and deal could be complete .
I think Sinclair would have been bought long ago if it hadn't been for the ex Aberdonian using sheep sale tactics.

Agree0 Disagree3

25 Jul 2016 16:38:01
I'd have thought the best we could hope for with Chalobah would be a loan deal. He has been out on loan for tears but that is chelsea's policy. He is tipped for big things loan would be nice bit of business.

Remind me but wasn't it Skinnybhoy who told us SincIair was being announced today?

Ed, I'm happy for you as he was clearly after you gig on here!

Happy for myself as he would have implemented a new forum rule that would have meant a daily pilgrimage to Celtic Park to kiss the feet of St Peter every time he lined up a deal that depended on us getting into the champions league.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Skinnybhoy was only posting rumours he'd heard or seen, you leave the lad alone (punch)

25 Jul 2016 19:43:25
Sorry Ed

Still smarting from the comment about appreciating Mr Lawell for having 2 deals lined up once we qualify.

25 Jul 2016 20:26:11
Whose to say we haven't.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2016 21:40:21
Marco

Who's to say we will qualify?

I will say this again, we NEED players to help us QUALIFY, not players who only want to play IF (big IF) we do.

I think you and a few others need to open their eyes.

25 Jul 2016 23:13:49
Hey Niall sorry to disappoint you but my info was 100%. Everything was agreed for Sinclair only for Villa to change that's what happens sometimes. I'm sure next time you won't want my info to discuss.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Jul 2016 10:38:00
Sorry Skinny

Your dad is bigger than my dad, it's my ball and I'm going home etc, etc.

Ed stated above that we hadn't agreed a fee for Sinclair and no medical was arranged.

I was just having a laugh because everyone was bigging you up, you have to take the hits as well as the praise.

25 Jul 2016 11:25:23
Well looks like this policy of waiting to the last posslbe second that lawwell has continued with over the years is about to fail again, my understanding is that villa agreed to the upfront fee of 3.25m upfront +add ons, but when they thought about it being tied to CL qualifying changed their minds and wanted that changed, not the way to conduct business I agree but surely we should have left enough time to move to other targets if as appears we couldn't reach an amicable settlement, that said in this saga I tend to side with lawwell, not said that before in truth, but the deal Celtic have put forward is more than fair for a player who since leaving Swansea, has managed 9goals in 62 games, it's just a case now of who blinks first, still think it might get over the line, not to long to wait to see, finally would suggest that when new balance decide on a new top design, would be better to get someone not rubbered to do it, pretty in pink, my arsenal.

Believable1 Unbelievable5

25 Jul 2016 11:32:54
Can't see how it's lawwells fault.
He put a deal forward and it was accepted.
Villa then change their mind and pull the pug.

25 Jul 2016 12:27:19
If to be believed that villa will do business at 3 mill and we've offered 2.75 why stall and haggle typical celtic every transfer seems to be a saga 3 mill would represent good business IMO another couple of hundred grand and you've got him, him on left and wee paddy on right would be amazing.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Jul 2016 12:50:35
Mally rumours is celtic offered more than 3 up front then add ons that takes it over 4 million.

25 Jul 2016 13:02:09
This is a player who has disappointed . frustrated . angered . annoyed. and very limitedley played up to his hype . most villa fans are desperate to be rid of him the rest want to keep him in the HOPE he can refind his championship form of 6 year ago . he is James forrest of England . has pace to burn but struggles one on one with defs rus into blind alleys delivery is poor. can score a goal but (apart from 6 year ago ) can't do it regular . isn't physical not the best defending for the team . yes he has raw talent which emerges very so often but he can't sustain it (apart from 6 year ago ) . are we buying a player or a hope that he can become a player . at 27 can he change for the betterment of himself and our team or will we be saying for the next few years if only the boy could find his form of 6 7 8 9 year ago.

Agree2 Disagree1

25 Jul 2016 13:25:09
Kev seen a couple of reports it was 2,75 with add ons but you could b right mate suppose we'll find out if he signs.

25 Jul 2016 15:21:43
I hope we buy Sinclair before or after the cut off point for this European tie, almost certainly if he bought at week- end or at the start of this week he wouldn't be playing this week and probably not next week .
Championship level of fitness wouldn't compare with the like of us . 😄😄😀.

Agree0 Disagree1

25 Jul 2016 19:12:37
Who do Villa think they are? Walk away and see who will meet their valuation for a player that promised much yet never delivered. Surely all the leagues and all countries we can't find a player of similar qualities? He's not that unique.

Unless I've missed something the player himself hasn't come out and requested the move to Celtic or expressed any positive statements so he may well be holding out for what he thinks will be a "better offer" from another club.

Move on to the next target. Don't waste anymore time on Sinclair.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2016 06:51:03
Daily mail are saying that we have had a 4th bid of 2.75M knocked back for Sinclair. Think this deal still has a way to go b4 completion.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

25 Jul 2016 10:27:29
Apparently villa want 5million now.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2016 10:51:18
Did they not only pay a couple of million for him? And he hasn't exactly done really well there to bump the price up.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jul 2016 15:14:37
Hopefully a deal can be done. Whilst no prolific he would do a very good job out on the left.
