An absolute long shot here but would anyone have a copy of the full game away in Stuttgart from 2002? I would be grateful if anyone could help me here. I will cover all costs plus dome for anyone that can help.

Try www.footballontap.com or .co.uk--- this has aa full list of archived games featuring most teams with an extensive catalogue of Celtic games. It costs about £3.50 plus p&p. Cant vouch for the quality but it seems genuine enough. Hope this helps

I was at Camp Nou last night and was very pleased with the reception we got. The stewards were friendly and helpful the Barca fans love their team but Are a little less noisy than us! I was in the middle of them with my son and they put up with our crazy celebration at the goal and all my comments! They were well humoured and very decent and it was really not like being at an away game. I hope we can give them just as friendly a reception at CP they really are a decent bunch. Sopot Celt

With the Tennents sponsorship deal set to expire at the end of next season, Im sure new sponsors will be sought for the 2014/15 season within the next 6 months. Surely it is time now to try and break away from the “Old Firm” tag and go it alone in this regard. Celtic are a Champions League team with a great history, are the main/only attraction in their country and have a worldwide fanbase, where as The Rangers are languishing in the bottom tier, have no European football and are a tainted brand. Any value in a joint deal will surely benefit them and not us. The only worry is that companies may fear sponsoring Celtic with The Rangers boycotting anything that disagrees with them. If we are going to distance ourselves from them these are the things that go a long way.

What a horrid post! You bring shame to
CFC. Concentrate on the beautiful game..not
vile remarks like this. Well done Celts last
night. Look forward to game @ CP.

Please stop calling newco, rangers they are DEAD............... FOREVER....

Bring shame to CFC?
I agree with everything he says mate. The old firm is dead, just like your dodo club.

@1 In what way are my comments vile?

I'm looking out for the best interests of my team, any new joint commercial deal between the two clubs would not be beneficial for Celtic. I don't think anything I have said against The Rangers is unture, they continue to give reason for everyone to question their integrity and that is not something Celtic should associate themselves with.

PS I have already congratulated Celtic on their excellent performance last night, pity we couldn't hold on but we done ourselves proud last night.

G93

Agree0 Disagree0

G93 , i replied to a similar post yesterday by tim . only way round it is to attract a global company that couldn't give a toss whether sevco bycott or not . someone like microsoft or apple who are so big it would not hurt them . or a company that they can't live without . B.P. who own or supply about 95% of the petrol stations in this country . so they buy or walk. shamrock

Agree0 Disagree0

We are Celtic. We are not the old firm. Andymac

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont care who sponsors us and if they sponsor Them at the same time. I dont think we should turn money down just because sevco have the same sponsors.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is very difficult for any sponsor to link with either team without the other. Alienating one side would cost a fortune in revenue and actually make the product look partisan.
If Celtic does this then Rangers have to hunt for a single sponsor, if they get one will Celtic fans boycott that business?
Joint sponsorship brings in more money to both teams and the Scottish game. Two single sponsors bring in much less.
Of course big competitive English teams have differing sponsors, does Liverpool fans boycott man Utd sponsors and vice versa? Sometimes you just have to break with received wisdom and do something different.
The problem is getting away from beer sponsors which underpin the need to sponsor both teams.

Agree0 Disagree0

Does anyone really think a major sponsor and I mean a global brand, really gives a jot if either half of the Glasgow clubs "boycotted" them ? what tosh to put it politely. Scotland is a dot on their revenues ! What these big corporates want is maximum exposure to the big TV audiences and that goes hand in hand with the CL and European competition in general. Take away the CL / Europe exposure via coverage of games and they are left with Scotland and the other small audiences in places with pockets of interest. Does anyone on here really believe Nike pay Celtic anything like they pay Barca ?

Agree0 Disagree0

No one has wanted to sponsor the celtic brand on their own in a very long time, dito with rangers as the other teams like to boycott ie the boycott of sports direct {Ed007's Note - Nike are not manufacturing both sets of strips. There are numerous companies that put money into CFC and don't put any into The Rangers and vice versa.}

Agree0 Disagree0

What has tennents done to deserve this ?? a good scottish company putting cash back into sport and music among other things they where good enough to put money into our club when carling walked away ... lighten up and look forward to t in the park

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Oct 2012 16:27:40
what do you mean "what have tennents done?" nobody is implying they have done anything, the deal is set to expire, Celtic need a sponsor in order to generate revenue, calm yerself down.

G93

Agree0 Disagree0

I remember when McEwans Lager sponsored Rangers alone, me and the then daft laddies boycotted that drink.......unless of course that's all that particular pub sold....then the boycott was temporarily put on "hold" ! Of course looking back we should have boycotted it because it tasked dreadful !

Agree0 Disagree0

To replier number 7(with no name)you are missing the whole point here pal, its about rangers getting the same amount of sponsorship monies as us(we are top div=they are bottom div),.,.kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

G93 the deal will probably be renewed because their wont be hundreds of international company's throwing millions of money at spl clubs and kbarry sponsorship deals are not decided on league positions its decided on shirt sales tv and media exposure do you not think theirs a reason celtic and oldco joined together for shirt sponsors with both carling and tennents ?? do they not employ experienced commercial advisers ?? they would not have joined forces unless they thought it was the best way to get the best deal maybe they will renew or maybe they will go their own way or even join together on a new deal but it will be decided on what brings in the most cash not on pettiness .... no name poster

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree we need to break away from the newco(same old ****)f.c. and get our own sponsor. i add that i believe this is a topic for discussion at the shareholders agm
and if enough people rattle the boards thoughts then they will really consider a sponsor of our own. when and if that happens and we are struggling to get a decent sponsor of own, id like for celtic to place a charity on the jersey such as barca do.
ParadiseAndy {Ed007's Note - Barca had to get a sponsor for their shirt after recording debts totalling £369.5 million for season 2009/10. The Qatar Foundation is a non-profit organisation concerned primarily with education projects in the Middle East, they pay £25 million per year to have their name on the club's tops.

It is chaired by Her Highness Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al-Missned, the wife of the Emir, who was central to Qatar's final World Cup bid along with Pep Guardiola - who worked as ambassador for Qatar's successful bid to host the 2022 World Cup..

I'm usually a regular poster but have not been following the site recently (due to moving house).
I would like to congratulate Neil Lennon and all the Bhoys for an absolutely MAGNIFICENT performance last night. We were up against a truly GREAT side - who we will still be talking about in years to come.
I had many exchanges over the summer with other posters who were demanding unrealistic signings ("to take us to the next level")- I championed our YOUNG squad and its potential for improvement, and our previously, much-maligned defence seems rejuvenated, by the signing of big Ambrose - yet another gem unearthed by the scouts.
This morning, I would say we have truly arrived at "the next level". If our players can maintain the same tactical discipline and concentration levels, away to Benfica, then we WILL get a result. No other team on the planet will have as much possession for long periods and move the ball around as much, as Barca did last night. It is no coincidence that they only scored at the death of each half, as tiredness set in to our players.
I also posted after the Group draw that Spartak were nothing to fear - we should realistically be able to achieve 3rd - now we can realistically finish 2nd. We should beat Spartak at home.
One word of caution for the Barca return however, we need to ensure we do not open up too much - they could really punish us at home if we allow them space. I trust Neil Lennon will get his tactics spot on again.
One last point - what about big Samaras? 3 away games in Europe this season and 3 goals. Absolutely superb return, and undoubtedly our most dangerous player in Europe - who would have thought that 2 years ago! A great job by the coaching staff in getting these big performances from the big fella............. hail!hail!............. kbt1978

Believable17 Unbelievable4

And lennon championed this man samaras when all around were calling for his head, with offers on the table samaras stayed with the club he loves and im proud that he did, in lenny we truly trust

Well said. They won't be so confident having to come to paradise!! HH

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of rubbish get real we were totally outplayed goal was a deflection no other real chances apart from the corner they had 75% of the ball over 20 chances {Ed007's Note - Gee, their attack must be garbage with stats like that. You would think with those stats they could have done a bit better considering CFC had what, 50% success rate with their attacks on goal. See how stats can be twisted to suit anything you want? Politicians are very good at it if you need any lessons. Nerdy sadsacked football fans are also brilliant at doing it as well when results didn't go the way they wanted. Although I have never heard of any points or prize money being awarded for having a higher possession rate or SOT ratio, if it went like that then Barca would win leagues and Champions Leagues a bit more often never mind the actual goals scored.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hail hail ed007 well said.

To the 2nd last poster chelsea (the champions league holders) went 2 barca in the semi final 2nd leg had 18 percent possession 2 barca's 82 and 3 shots on target and they won the competition so clearly tells the quality of barca so u get real slaggin our possession and attempts at goal for us an spl team 2 go ther n hold barca like that last nte keepin the best player on the planet quiet for most of the game and losin 2 goasl at the end of each half speaks volumes how far our team has come and considering our average age last nte for the startin 11 was under 30 tells u even more

Spartak beat Benfica at home mate. Their next game is in Benfica, while we are at home to Barca. I'll be hoping for a draw - in both games!...................... kbt1978

p.s. ive never stopped loving big sammy even when he was playing guff
my greek goddess of a gf would not allow it ;P

god bless

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers mate - moving house is an absolute killer! ........and regarding big Sammy - my Mrs has always loved the big Greek God as well! I reckon its the long hair!
But seriously though - IMO getting the best out him was really about getting the balance of the team right, in order to accommodate him and his 'unorthodox' style. We now have that balance.
Hopefully the big man can do the business in Lisbon and seal 2nd spot..............hail hail!..............kbt1978

Agree0 Disagree0

I think sammy has been the key to away european form as no matter what pitch he plays on he likes to run at defnces and see what they are made of.

Sore one to lose tonight bhoys but the learning experience from tonight's game will be better than any point we could have gained. Cast your mind back to last year when we got a second chance at the Europa league...... Nobody gave us a hope in hells chance, but we always new it was about giving our young, inexperienced team a learning curve and in time it was proved the case as we went on and won the league in a canter! This year is no different as we still have a young team but have moved up a gear, and that showed that tonight....NO team around Europe could have done what we done......NONE!

Briggs
