My mum actually works with his brother Michael. According to my auld dear Stevie is convinced Henrik will be getting the job?

Here we go with the pathetic glasgow airport rumours, who cares?

Could be right Sparky, so far Henkes the only man who there seems to be any real contact with? If he does come in I'd like to see an older head perhaps in a DoF sort of role. Someone with a tactical know-how, has won things and can spot a player. So far Henkes still got a lot to prove in my eyes.

Stevie Clarke is from Scotland

Whether on not the sightings are genuine or not, I think Clarke is our best option.Tactically good/players seem respond well to him/European experience/ is popular with other coaches/plenty contacts home and abroad/straight talking with the media and fairly dignified .Snap him up I say!

I agree with Howie - Stevie Clarke's the man. Much as I think Henrik Larsson would bring the crowds in, he has no real management experience and could be found out at CP.

He, s a good manager but personally I think we need someone who knows celtic, steve clarke could be another tony mowbray in my eyes.
Paul Lambert would be a great choice, he, s worked wonders down south and he hasn't really been backed by villa in the transfer windows, David Moyes I would also have

Without a doubt Clarke knows the game inside out-supposedly he is a complete visionary with his drills etc. He was treated disgracefully at West Brom, but to be fair they seem to make it up as they go along, with everything they do. Bottom line he over achieved there, If their squad was all on free transfers I think I would only take a couple of the players, they are all very ordinary. So he would be a good choice, my only worry is he is a little defensive - he loves the counter attacking system, and with us controlling the game most of the time, I'm not sure. I would like the German coach Thomas Tuchel, timing is everything, and he resigned a couple of days before Lennon. If not him, Oscar Garcia/Stevie Clarke. Guys like McNamara/Coyle shouldn't even be being mentioned never mind favorites, they don't merit it, period! And bye the way I like both as people, but not as Celtic managers!

We need someone who knows celtic, and know what it takes to be a success here. what's the point in having a german coach if he can barely speak the language and doesn't know anything about british football? its a complete waste of time mentioning foreign coaches, as for steve clarke I just don't think it will happen, don't really like the idea of him being celtic manager either but just my opinion.
i do agree that owen coyle shouldn't be mentioned, turned us down when he was offered so no chance! a don't like the guy at all, personally I would be gunning for Moyes but the 3 man shortlist should be Moyes, lambert and malky mackay.
A hadnt even heard of oscar garcia until he was mentioned on this, same with the german

Agree0 Disagree0

It doesn't matter if you have heard of the German coach or not, what matters is he is regarded as the next big thing in Germany, he is being called the next Klopp, everybody in the game has certainly heard of him. He has knocked back Schalke/Leverkusen that I know of, Tottenham have been quoted as interested also, and more to the point he has just resigned - stating he has taken Mainz as far as he could. So he is available, but we never show any true ambition, that's our downfall. And also Greenbhoy going on your logic, Southampton wouldn't have appointed Pochettino, they would have stuck with the primitive methods of Nigel Atkins. Adam Lallana recently said the training they do now/Pochettino's ideas etc are on a completely different level. If you don't get with the times then what is the point! I quite like moyes - he has good points, but his ideas are way behing progressive coaches like Rodgers/Martinez, so we have to think outside the box and get the next progressive coach before everybody knows about him. I saw Madrid win their 10th European cup last night - I want my club to make more history/new history, not settle for second best/doing ok!

Agree0 Disagree0

I meant to say that if Paul Clement is available, I would definitely think hard about him also. West Brom are sniffing around, but I don't know if he is staying at Madrid. What an education he has had though - he worked with Brendan Rodgers in their early days at Chelsea and reminds me very much of him, he has since worked under Mourinho/Hiddink, now Ancelotti, - he also worked of course with Stevie Clarke at Chelsea too.
