Lawell in the dressing room after that pish today! Maybe he's going to be the new manager! Wouldn't surprise in the slightest from that Bawbag! Ronny asked about it and said he's got no problem with it and it's not the first time! Just sums everything about what's going on with the club right now!

Naw he was just in asking for his baw back.

Beav81 said this weeks ago that Lawwell is meddling big time in team affairs. He simply has to go if we are to ever progress.

24 Apr 2016 22:31:06
He was in to ensure that underperforming players were left in no uncertain terms that RD departure in itself will not be enough to have the glare shine upon those who have abandoned ship

Who else of " influence " could do that. He is as entitled as anyone else when we have a sitting duck manager. PL can't do right for doing wrong it would seem.

Lawell has no bloody business being in the dressing room! And ronnies admission that it isn't the 1st time worries me! He knows feck all about football matters and should stick to balance sheets! No manager worth his salt will come in and put up with pish like that! No chance!

24 Apr 2016 23:29:51
Does that mean we know nothing about footy either? He is a fan first and foremost. He was and is and remains a fan who so happens to be an employee too. At this moment we have near player mutiny and a manager unable to generate a spark. Settle down.

Away and don't talk pish! He's a fan first and foremost! Did u actually just say that! He's got no bloody business being in the changing room! He's not been interested in the footballing side up until now so he shouldn't bother now! Stick to his balance sheets! No manager with anything about him would allow such a thing to happen! So don't give me your settle down pish! If our chief exicutive is making regular visits to the changing room before during or after games then there's even more to worry about than I thought! He's a fan first and foremost! Dear oh dear! Nothing to do with his massive salary and bonuses being under threat then!

Board members in the dressing room, unacceptable. Ronnys no got the bawz to tell him to get out. No point being raging about it. All got what we craved, he's going. They will stumble across the line and win the league then we can forget all about it and ron can get tae.

Ronny chose to leave at end of season according to him and his agent not at Celtics request. We put in another piss poor performance so lawwell who is under pressure himself went to see Ronny as many fans and possibly directors might feel it's better to go now as he seems incapable of managing this squad to a decent level. Ronny said he spoke to him not the players so what's wrong with that unless Ronny is a full blown liar.

Agree3 Disagree1

25 Apr 2016 10:47:31
What's wrong with it Jim is that he has no place in the changing room! If he wanted to talk to Ronny it could have been quite easily done somewhere away from the changing room! your acting as if it's quite normal for the chief exec to be regularly visiting the changing room, which it is not! And never will be. it just shows how weak Ronny is as a manager for letting this happen! And if u think any manager with anything about him will come in and stand for that then your kidding urself on! Lawell in his mind feels like he can do or say whatever he likes and that's a big part of the problems we're now facing!

Agree0 Disagree2

25 Apr 2016 13:09:16
Aye Jim1972 is that right? Are you really that naive to see what's going on here? Its obvious PL has advised RD to announce he is leaving straight after Sevco game to take heat off himself. Only reason he went into changing room was a PR stunt to rebuild his image and deflect attention away from the fact we have drastically went backwards since Strachan era.

Not first time pork pies have came out of club from Lawwell.

Dh88 you seem to think it's a bad thing that lawwell has went in to see Ronny. hopefully to discuss pathetic performances on a regular basis and players who are either unfit or out of form playing continuously. Perhaps lawwell was told to give him a talking to about the situation to show to Ronny and players that standards must improve and that they won't sit back and do nothing anymore. I believe lawwell is feeling the heat and it won't be long till dermot bankier etc feel the pressure and that's why I believe action on various fronts should happen now. Ronny should go immediately with assistants and temp manager till end of season appointed, I would appoint Lennon, Mackay or Clarke who all want it for 4 weeks then have our CEO, chairman or major shareholder tell us what the plan is going forward before releasing season tickets.

Dn30 lawwell may have told Ronny to make the announcement as you suggest but my problem is why Ronny has to continually lie to everyone. He says he decided to go LIE he says he signed players LIE he says lawwell only spoke to him LIE all quotes from Ronny to the media but a faceless fan on a forum we should believe?

25 Apr 2016 14:04:21
Jim I agree with a lot of your post mate but the point I'm trying to get over is not lawells right to talk to the manager but where he spoke to him! He has no business being in there talking in front of the players! No wonder they don't respect the manager or his staff! And like I said, if he thinks he's going to attract a manager of decent quality and do that then I really worry for us! If Lawell or DD ar that worried about woeful performances then get Ronny in to his office and dismiss him and his staff right away!

Agree0 Disagree2

Dh88 I see your point if he's going in every week but after major setbacks I don't have a problem with it as sometimes harsh words are required. Remember Ronny says he chose to go and that the players can relax and play good football, well there was little sign of that yesterday. Personally I want owners who are going to show displeasure when necessary (MalmΓΆ molde Rangers etc) The heat is being turned up on the board and I'm glad to see a reaction but let's keep the heat on till we get better rewards. Hail hail.

25 Apr 2016 15:03:27
Really for me if he went in Before the game or at half time
I would agree with the reaction but it was after the game and maybe he has said if you don't all buck up you will be all out?

Jim1972 For me its obvious Lawwell has his hand that far up Ronnys ar$e that you would be forgiven if you called him sooty by mistake. All these confidentiality clauses in operation at club, i wouldn't be surprised if there was a clause in Delias contract where he had to follow guidance from board and basically do as PL says.

I bet you any money Ronnie has been coached into taking blame with the line "it will be best for the club". PL knows his image is shattered and is pulling out all the stops to deflect this.

I haven't seen P Lawwell's job description but as many fans seem to blame him when results are poor, they must thing he has some role with the players . In my understanding in many successful clubs Chairmen and or Chief Executives visit dressing rooms either before or after matches and the world doesn't end . Maybe if he had gone oftener and clipped the wings of one or two players who had grown too big for their boots, we may be better off.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - he does choose the key staff, such as manager and scouts, who recruit, train and pick those players. So he is part of the fault.}

26 Apr 2016 12:59:43
U are probably right, and therefore he would think it his responsibility to help out the manager whom he employed. If he thought some players were not been fair . I would be very disappointed if for example he hadn't spoken to K Commons have his outburst . Players need to know that Senior Board members as well as the manager don't accept or tolerate that sort of behaviour.

Just read that one bookmaker has suspended betting on Steve Clarke becoming our new manager, while the rest still have moyes as favourite. Strange. You heard anything Ed?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - I never pay any attention to what say, it'll be Clarke this week and Artur Jorge next week. It depends who they want you to bet on.

24 Apr 2016 23:42:26
What about Steve Clarke's dad ed did he not say he was interested just before RD was appointed?

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Apr 2016 15:10:24
Steve's dad said that before Ronny was appointed. Steve and his family grew up a couple of doors along from mine in mayfield road Saltcoats. he would jump at the chance to be our manager.

Hi ED007, have you heard anything on the Roberto Di Matteo rumour as boss doing the rounds. Heard it from various people now and wondered had you heard anything.

Have heard from my cousin in Germany that Fc Augsburg coach Markus Weinziel has agreed a deal to manage Celtic on a 2 year deal.

I think he's the kind of manager we hoped we were getting when RD arrived. Would be an excellent choice.

I doubt we have been drawn up a list and Celtic also only do 12 month rolling contracts

Pity though seems to be a popular choice on this forum.
