Worth a punt as what? A full back? Perhaps. As a Centre back he has neither the physicality or size to do the job we need from a centre back. We need more physical presence to go alongside either wilson mulgrew or ambrose. Wilson and Ambrose are very similar players - we need somebody to command every high ball that comes into our box in the SPL, and adds some real physicality in europe. Jean-Pierre Laguerre

Portuguese media are linking us with Algerian international striker El Arbi Hillel Soudani who plays for Guimar�es. He has scored 7 in 13 games for Algeria, and is 25 years old. They also list a number of other clubs interested - HSV, Sochaux, Marseille and Granada. It seems we have had the player watched. Jean-Pierre Laguerre
