What a great day, even the sun came out for us! Really good display, lots of tempo and movement and some great possession. Better second half when we started making chances, and some good goals. The only down is the ridiculous situation with Lenny and waiting weeks for the trophy. Should we have a demo on that day? I think we should. They are not interested in Celtic or the fans. This day is for the sponsors to get their names on TV and newspapers. For me the league was won today, we should have had the trophy today. Why create an atmosphere for the SPL to milk to suit their corporate clients?

At the game it would send a message that we will not stand for any more of this inept bungling they are becoming famous for. When the game ends let's just leave them to it. Celtic should also back us in this. Lenny has already said he is letting some players go on a break over the next few weeks, so it will be shadow teams till the cup final. This is a good move, key players freshened up for the final will help us no doubt. So in the last game let the squad players feel what it's like to win a league. The league is won. Who really cares how many points we win it with? This has been fabricated by the media for their The rangers driven agenda anyway. let's leave them to it.

Well done Bhoys, been a roller coaster of a season, but CHAMPIONS AGAIN! Final point, I am sure we all enjoyed the atmosphere today, a bit like the old days in fact. So to any one who wants to constantly criticize the Green Brigade remember this. They bring every it game, they started it today, and they NEVER stop. They must be supported. green jhedi

they attacked him in the street, they attacked him on the pitch, they sent bullets and bombs but today he triumphed over all of that. wonderful to see him celebrating with his family. congratulations neil lennon, a celtic great, and a wonderful triumph. CELTIC.

What a wonderful day. Loved the delayed reception for Neil. The fans as usual were great and the game was fantastic. Thank you Neil and the bhoys for a memorable season. Julieghirl.

I reckon there will be a mass sale of players this summer, to include

Hooper, wanyama, Forster, McCourt, ledley, izzy, Matthews, watt, kayal. Total income should be in the region of £25million.

I feel we need this to happen since its apparent that some players have their eyes and hearts set on the premiership.

In Lenny (and John Park) we trust!

Believable9 Unbelievable18

A few will go and a few will come in. There won't be a mass clear out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lesley has already said he wants to stay

Agree0 Disagree0

Some players may move on but the list you have compiled is rubbish the majority of players you have named will still be Bhoys next season.

£25m for that lot? Your very wrong with that figure mate. Hoops, Big Vic and Forster alone should be in the ballpark of £18-20m. Ledley, matthews and Izzy around £10-12m. From your list I would expect to lose Vic, Forster, Hoops and McCourt, no more. green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you named way to many players there, settle down.

Quack

Agree0 Disagree0

Firstly there's not a chance in hell would we be letting that many first team players go. Secondly your numbers are way off, Wanyama 10 million minimum, Hooper 4 million minimum, Forster 4 million minimum, Ledley 4 million minimum, Mathews 4 million minimum, Izaguirre 1. 5 minimum, Kayal 2 million minimum, Watt 1. 5 minimum. that's 31 million at minimum value, never mind the fact the manager would loath to lose Ledley, Forster, Wanyama or Mathews so would demand top dollar

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we will lose Hooper, Lassad and McCourt plus the loanees.
Matthews, Ledley and Wanyama have not indicated they want to go although big Forster has recently and I for one would not miss him that much and we can do better.

Hooper, wanyama. maybe

McCourt won't be sold, he'll leave due to freedom of contract.

Ledley and Matthews are being linked with Cardiff. granted. But they would be mugs to go as it will be theirr first season in the premiership and I think (even with £25m invest which Mackay has been promised) they will struggle.

If Izzy is sold itt won't be for much. Watt (if the rumours of attitude are true) won't bring much in. I can't see him being sold to be honest.

Kayal won't command much of a fee, too injury prone. If Norwich come back for him again then itt depends what happens with Wanyama.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think that many first team regulars will go, but a few fringe players will be offloaded and loaned out.

Hooper will be sold, but for how much? The only bidder in January (Norwich) didn't get near Celtic's valuation and they have just signed a big-money striker. Will they be back in for Hooper in the summer? Probably not, so he'll go to the likes of Southampton or Watford for £4m- £5m tops.

Wanyama seems happy at Celtic but doesn't want to sign a new contract so it looks like he'll try to run down his contract. Obviously, the club won't want that so he'll be sold too. Let's hope there's a bidding war to push his price over the £10m mark.

Ledley and Matthews will probably stay but both have a connection to Cardiff and no doubt would like to play in the EPL, so if Cardiff's wealthy new owners made a bid of £10-12m for them both, would Celtic turn it down? Probably not.

Izzy and Kayal are going nowhere - they are both on long-term contracts and their recent performances will not attract a high enough bid to encourage the club to sell.

Forster has done nothing since his 'neck injury' and his mind seems elsewhere. I reckon he'll go in the summer - maybe £5-6m. Paddy McCourt will be shown the door - a pity, but his 10-15 minute cameos do nothing other then put appearance money in his bank account. Scott Brown will be an increasingly bit-part player because of his hip condition.

With Hooper and Miku gone, I think we will be left a bit light in the forward department. Tony Stokes might get a new deal (depending on how the board view his off-field activities) but if the rumours about Tony Watt's attitude are true I suppose he'll be punted - on loan or permanently. Hopefully, Lassad can step up to the plate or we'll sign someone who can. I don't expect to see Bangura back at CP.

In-coming, like most, I'd like to see a commanding centre-half, a creative midfielder (what about McGeough?), a midfield destroyer to replace Big Vic, a 30-a-season striker and a reliable goalie if Lurch goes.

Interesting times ahead.

I honestly don`t know what people see in Ledley. I watched him yesterday and yes he took hid goal well, but appart from that he was ineffectual. Commons was tremendous - best man on the park by far. Hooper was also good - for a change. He hasn`t kicked a ball for weeks Ambrose drives me nuts. An obviously talented player but he sells the jerseys too often and missed too many sitters ergo yesterday. I don`t know why Lenny doesn`t have Mulgrew and Wilson as the 1st choice back two?By the way. I would say to Paddy you are in the side for all the remaining league games come wht may. Give him a proper run in the side

Agree0 Disagree0

Ledley and Matthews stay and build team round them. Hooper and big Vic will no doubt go but a would let Wilson and Ambrose go as well not good enough in my opinion. With the sale of these four and a few others who will no doubt be sold as well John Park will gives us the nod on what's available and hopefully at a price we can afford. Have faith in Lenny we will have a cracking team for nxt season. bigjohnnybhoy

Just a few thoughts for our front line next year assuming Hooper goes - Stokes is given a year's extension on his contract, and if the rumours are true about the 'attitude' of Tony Watt, then he is loaned out for a season. Bring in Jamie Mackie from Qpr and Gary Mackay Steven from Dundee United.

Believable5 Unbelievable9

For me it can't be Jamie Mackie we have to aim higher he is not the answer GMS from utd will be a good player to challenge Forrest, also a play maker type midfielder, a boss at the back someone good with strong character is what wee miss, I know we like to buy young to sell for profit but we have young players I think it needs supplemented with experience up front

Agree1 Disagree0

I have always thought Jamie Mackie was a good player. his movement always seems clever to me and has a good un selfish whos often willing to work hard for his team mates. Decent Physical presence and like Grant Holt has been a bit off form this year but this could help us get him for decent value. Would be delighted with either of these players!

Mackay-Stevens. yes!

But. Mackie. no. He is not a goalscorer. I can see us bringing in someone with a sell-on value. I won't mind seeing us sign Johnny Russell and one other bigger named striker.

Paddy Madden, 23 year old Irish striker with Yeovil Town, currently League one top scorer with 23 goals.
Anyone think he would be worth looking at?

BKKBHOY

Believable9 Unbelievable7

We nearly signed him at the start of last season. If i'm not mistaken he went to Derby for a trial instead of us and we lost interest after that. Always hard suggesting players playing at that level as its a big step up in standard and a much bigger club and expectation. Seen him on the football league program a few times though and his finishing is clinical.

Agree0 Disagree0

Linked with him before, after McCourt and Mcginn he was next on the radar?! Celtic didn't follow up interest, most goal scorers will score goals in paradise, I think he's another one!

Dundee United have rejected an offer from Serie A club Catania for striker Johnny Russell.

The Italian club, currently ninth in Serie A, have made two offers to United within the past three weeks.

Their latest bid of about 600,000 Euros (approximately £515,000) was rejected by the Tannadice board as it did not match their valuation of the player
Celtic have ask United to keep them informed with on goings regarding Russell's future with a year left on his contract surely a steel for a million

Believable14 Unbelievable2

Russell is not the player we need get mackay-stevens in and he can make the difference. A special player without a doubt the most naturally gifted player in Scotland.

Agree0 Disagree0

Russell could do really well at Celtic and hopefully we sign him, were not going to spend a lot of money in the summer and he wouldn't break the bank, tried and tested in the SPL, no gamble.
McKay Steven would also fit in, happy for both to come in, still think we need a proper ball winning centre forward, but would love both the united players to come in!
