Just had a text from a mate who heard today, from an ex celt, that Lenny has been told any money he gets from sales will be all his to spend.He will also get 10m if we qualify for the CL(might be tough) and he has the full backing of Mr Desmond and Mr Lawell and we are ready to go to war with the SFA when he's next up on charges.Apparently we got explosive evidence up our sleeve. Anybody heard any rumours? ED007;your good for this stuff?..............green jhedi {Ed007's Note - CFC will go to 'war' with the SFA when the time is right GJ. Why the meeting outside the hearing on Friday?}

Just read through all your best ever premier league teams and can't believe not 1 person had Steven Gerrard in theirs, one of the most complete players of our generation and people are picking players like Keane above him? Shocking.

Smithy {Ed007's Note - I couldn't Smithy, not in place of Keano and the Ginger Prince. I did have him on the bench.}

ed007;Some game mate! what about the work rate of Benzema and Ronaldo,60 yrd cross field runs all night for their defence to have an out ball.outstanding.Thought the ref done well to and a few great calls from the linesmen,what a change! Players really need to ask themselves if they want to play at that pace,and with that kinda touch and awareness.I wonder sometimes what players do in training,i think there's a "well iv made it" attitude nowadays. Training should be like work,in at 9 leave at 5,all the time working on what you might be lacking.It drives me mad,players should be like Lubo,two footed to the extent that you cant tell which is the strong foot............green jhedi {Ed007's Note - Fabulous advert for football (for a change) and personally I am delighted with the result. Over here more is made of turning young players into athletes rather than football players.}

Just watched the first half of El Classico and it shows the crap we pay to watch in this country.The pace is scary,but mourinho looks to have done a number on them. But it is Barca,so .........green jhedi {Ed007's Note - A fantastic match, and even better result if it stands :-)

Comment on the SPL standards is correct. My workmates call it the Sunday Pub League.

Ed,don't know if you have noticed Sly Spurts are doing a best 11 players from the last 20 years of the EPL?Not one of the guys on Soccer Saturday went for Cantona,which is unbelievable IMO.But my confusion comes from where the hell do you start?So many great players,how can you narrow it down to just 11,try it but my minds scrambled.

Jungle Bhoy. {Ed007's Note - They have been talking about it on the Utd site for a few days now, it is very difficult but Cantona would definitely be in my team. I am probably biased but most of my team would be made up of Utd players, they have consistently been the top team in the last 20 years, at home and in Europe.

.....................Schmeichel.......
G.Neville....T.Adams.....Ferdinand......Ca$hley
Ronaldo.....Scholes.....Keane.....Giggs
.............Cantona.......Shearer

Subs: Seaman, Vidic, S Campbell, Gerrard, Le Tissier, Bergkamp, Henry.

There are loads that I just can't find room for, Dennis Irwin, JT, Viera, Andy Cole, McMannaman, Desailly, Paul Ince, Owen in his prime etc etc. But I tried to think of their influence as well as their skill, and I always thought Le Tissier could have went to the top of the game if he had ever decided to leave Southampton.}

Believable2 Unbelievable4

A Man Utd utd fan i assume ? ....TTTS {Ed007's Note - Yes, but try and pick a better team over the 20 years that Utd have basically dominated the league and got to CL final. Can you up with a better, more successful team?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Bergkamps yer man

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed,why don't we have a daily debate about each position?Say tomorrow GK,monday RB and so on.See what team we can come up with in 12 days time.Player with most mentions each day gets included.

Jungle Bhoy. {Ed007's Note - I put a suggestion above JB mate. Let me know what you think.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Henry for Shearer Viera for Scholes Campbell for Ferdinand Cech or Given for Schmeichel Give you Ronaldo and Giggs maybe winterbottom and dixon for full backs would have bergkamp ahead of shearer even ..... TTTS

Agree0 Disagree0

Cantona best player ever to grace the PL btw ....TTTS

Agree0 Disagree0

Really coundn't care less , EPL means nothing to me ,do you think the English would be interested in best SPL players in last 20 years? no chance . {Ed007's Note - Well there is really no reason for you comment then is there?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Schmeical,viv anderson,gary steven,tony adam,gary pallister,john terry(though i hate him)henrik, scholes,shearer,rooney,laudrup {Ed007's Note - Gary Steven never played in the EPL and putting Larsson and Luadrup in an all time great EPL team is a joke along with Larrson who played about 7 matches. It's real life football we are talking about.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Schmeichel,g.neville,t adams,s bruce,l dixon,r keane, p scholes, alonso,berkamp,cantona,h larsson. subs. seaman, desailly,viera,henry,giggs,winterburn,gerard {Ed007's Note - Again, there really is now way you can count Larsson, for all the time he was there he wouldn't get close to it.}

Agree0 Disagree0

What about gianfranco Zola,Thierry Henry,Veira,lampard,beckham,fowler,Ashleycole surely they all enter the mind when considering each position especially the little man Zola Chelsea's best player ever

Chrissy bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I put larsson in to see how many of the other mob would start there abuse i think it would be w.rooney {Ed007's Note - Oh sorry mate.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Why no, asprilla , ginola , proseneski , zola , mcmanaman, klinsmann, HENRIK ,ballack , vialli, gullit, all great players think almost impossible to pick a team with all certainty , tommybhoy {Ed007's Note - I mentioned some of them, that is the point, it's all just opinion. Pick a team, there's no right or wrong answer here.}

Agree0 Disagree0

If Ferdinand gets in then it shows why EPL IS OVER RATED , He was is and always will be pi55.

never seen someone be so wrong in 20 words =

Agree0 Disagree0

The lack of juninho was probably the most confusing thing about it for me - although being a teessider i suppose i'm biased. i went with: schmeichel, neville, adams, stam, irwin, ronaldo, keane, scholes, giggs, shearer, henry. very difficult not to pick a team made up exclusively of man utd players.

We are living post financial apocalypse, the world changing and developing around it and a 140 year old institution is the living embodiment of excess. Rangers are the example of capitalism gone wrong and are the biggest story, for all the wrong reasons, in the footballing world right now.
To not be interested would be a dereliction, to be a Celtic fan and not be interested would be very strange and to be a Celtic fan interested but not typing about it would be lazy.
So we are just socially conscious Celtic fans who aren't lazy.
Bloody Aluko at it again as i type.

There is a 90 minute video that is well worth watching that tells the whole sordid story of how Rangers ended up in £134 million in debt ......It's called Celtic versus Inter Milan 25th May 1967. " Chasing their dream is forever our reality ".."..."...DH

And so it begins..........again.Apparently it's now Miller time.You would think that after all the rangers fans have been through they might exercise some caution about a new owner.Last week there was a red card protest at ibrox against liquidation,now by placing the word incubator in a rambling statement,all is well again.Never mind the fact that Miller's press release on purchasing rangers had no mention of Whyte,but the whole thing hinges on the SFA being implicated in cheating.Does anyone think the SFA can really say to rangers,okay,we will guarantee you SPL status,guarantee no more points deductions or any punishment regarding on-going investigations? This would make them a bigger laughing stock than they currently are and, i'm pretty sure, would have UEFA officials firing e-mails galore demanding to know what is going on. But wait! Whats that coming over the hill? It's not the taxman,it's the blue knight's! Yup there back,marching towards ibrox like Wyatt Earp to the ok coral.One question,who are they? Paul Murray we all know is the public face but who is lurking in the shadows? I dont recall him ever saying who was in this consortium,Why.Could it be that they dont want the publicity until Murray has the keys?Again why? Why would anybody trust a man who might be as much use to rangers as Gladys Knight? So many questions but no answers so far.Never mind,when the shoot out starts all us Celtic fans will be in the saloon in tombstone with good seats and a John Daniels to sip...............green jhedi

Believable7 Unbelievable2

@GJ since day one I've always wondered who were behind Paul Murray and The Knights of the Blue Templar . My thoughts were they must be quite dodgy or murky or they would show face.Interesting that our unbiased and free press have never asked the same question.......DH

Agree0 Disagree0

The blue knight (singular) is full of the proverbial....

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do you Care? why are you all so opsessed with Rangers and our situation?, Do you not ever think about Football? What ever happens to Rangers will happen, whoever is given the Keys or not , is in the hands of other men, Yet you all are still seeing dark dealings and people in the Shadows, Do you know all the people who fund your club, do you Know how their money was made? ............I suspect not and why should you. Stop worrying about Rangers and our off feild problems and start to worry about your own team and the fact that even after investment, even after having stability, even with a titile you are not really making progress, you are not really that good..................think about it? And if you dont start to get it right soon you will need Paul Daniels to keep you in Europe. Ta Ta for Now Wibblyblue. {Ed007's Note - Why do you care? Why are you so obsessed with what CFC fans think (are laughing at) your club? I think you and your team have more to worry about.}

Ed: Can/will the SFA/SPL give assurances to the Miller acquisition that there will be no points deduction or financial penalties and auto entry into SPL next season. Surely if they do it's highly unethical not to mention the legalities of it all. {Ed007's Note - No the SPL/SFA can not do this, it is just one of the many holes in Miller's 'bid'. }

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Bond, you know am straight talking from the other sites we speak on you know am from the "other side", but I see liquidation edging closer and closer and Bill Murrays bid is not a serious one, do you really think that Celtic and Scottish football will flourish without Rangers, or even with a newco Rangers ......... Big Dave {Ed007's Note - Scottish football will just need to find it's level Dave, no matter what happens. I don't want Rangers to cease to exist, just to be in the doldrums to have a bit of a gloat and a wind up for a few years and I would be happy. But there can not seem to be any bending of rules etc to help Rangers out, it questions the whole sporting integrity of the Scottish game Dave. Nobody helped Motherwell, Dundee, Livingston or Gretna, so why should Rangers be treated any different? Look at Italy for example, I know it was different 'crimes' but Juventus' involvement rocked Italian football to the core, they were guilty and had to face their punishment. Justice must be seen to be done, that is all I am looking for and for Rangers to be treated the exact same as any other team who ended up in this situation. If you sold cars for a living and got caught using dodgy MOTs on cars you sell, would you expect to keep your job because you are a good salesman? The ethics of the situation must be paramount when any decisions are made.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Funnily enough I agree with you Ed, but I dont see Sky sticking around if Rangers go to the wall and/or trying to negotiate a new deal if a newco Rangers is formed so I think for the finiancial health of the other clubs around then Rangers must continue to exist in their current form but I dont see that happening, but punishment should defo be dished out Ed ......... Big Dave {Ed007's Note - My own opinion Dave is f##k Sky mate, if they don't want to out money into the game I really don't care. Their money only makes up 3% of CFC's total income and if there isn't as much football on the TV, people will start going back to games. Look at the crowds Kilmarnock, Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen took to Hampden. If these people really support their club then get games at an affordable level and get people going back to games, not come slinking out the woodwork any time there is a big game for them. Smaller clubs need to do more to get more fans through the gates rather than worrying about how much a TV deal is worth. Man City can't even fill their stadium (look at Google maps and enter Manchester Council House and see what comes up lol) and look at what they are trying to achieve, they give free tickets to schools, the Manchester gay community and charities to try and get more people in the gates. CFC have the 10th highest matchday revenue in the whole of Europe with £43.4 million a season, £13 million more than Rangers and AC Milan and £14 million more than Man City. There is always the possibility of exploring what the bigger EPL and continental teams are looking to do and streaming their own games to maximise income.}

Does anyone know if sir walter of smith was on an ebt? He seems to have went very quiet all of a sudden.

Why stop at smith! ALL ebt's should be named & shamed, but that will never happen :(

Well bill72, if he was and the FTT rule in HMRC's favour then what Wattie was doing was illegal. Simples.

Why do yous think he stepped down, to hang with ethel, do gardening, no he knew s**t was ready to hit the fan,,.,.,kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

Always cheating that's what Bill ,but that doesn't matter Rangers will get away with it yet agsin

Agree0 Disagree0

Amazing how a totally unrelated celtic rumour appears on a celtic page. obsessed much ;)?

Agree0 Disagree0

N what if he was, if rangers are found guilty of misusing ebts then it's the clubs fault not the person who they gave them to. Get a grip n worry about your own team for change

Agree0 Disagree0

Juninho's ebt was stopped after we looked at it again and all monies were correctly paid.

You're not going to drag us down with you.

Hail hail {Ed007's Note - Ex Governor of The Bank of England and CFC chairman Brian Quinn looked at the use of EBT's and decided it was not good business practice. Juninho's inherited EBT was cancelled and all money due was paid in full. The same advice was ignored by David Murray, that's is why Rangers are at the tribunal stage of a tax case and CFC are planning on retaining the league title next year. That is the difference with having men with proven money and business track records at the helm instead of an egomaniac who ignored any sound financial advice he was given.}

Agree0 Disagree0

The only thing we have to worry about over on this side is will there be enough jelly!
