Allegedly lennon has already had a big falling out with bangura. Supposedly it happened just after the press conference to show him off after signing

Believable11 Unbelievable23

Seems lennon us falling out with s few players.... Can't stand the heat in the kitchen ? {Ed007's Note - It's all garbage, just the usual rumours that fly around after important matches. Look at Berbatov at Man Utd, left out of the CL final and had a 'massive' bust up with AF supposedly. Teams tried to sign him all summer and he is still at Old Trafford. It is all just rumour and stirring it. Trying to make a story where there isn't one.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant see it, more likely the boy didn't have much of a pre season or needs to get up to speed with the way we play and who he plays with. We cant just throw people into a team. We need to win every game.

Agree0 Disagree0

If that was the case then he wouldn't even be on the bench. It's more likely that the boy will need a little time to settle in a new country and in an environment that has proven difficult for even more experienced players.

"Look at Berbatov at Man Utd, left out of the CL final and had a 'massive' bust up with AF supposedly. Teams tried to sign him all summer "

Yeah was'nt there ment to be a swop deal with him and Jelavic ;-)

David {Ed007's Note - Wasn't it Rooney?}

'Allegedly' and 'Supposedly' If my auntie had balls.......

See when it smells like s**t and sound like s**t, it most likely is s**t!
Sorry Ed007, but had to be said.
Whether this is a gullible Tim who still reads the redtops and belives them or a person who's just at it, I think it had to be said!

hi ed I heard a wee rumour that bangura and wanyama will be starting tomorrow night

hail hail

Believable8 Unbelievable5

Wouldn't surprise anyone I think mate.

If the fringe/new players don't get a run out tomorrow then they should know they ain't ever getting in there.

Wonder if Commons will get the nod then? ;o)
HH
/BB {Ed007's Note - NL has said he will be involved.}

Agree0 Disagree0

If he's going to pay £2m for a striker and not use him then surely he should have got us a centre half instead....Think I'll feel better after I see the results from next 2 games.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope he does the right think and plays commons to then as we need him back in the team a.s.a.p

Believable7 Unbelievable5

And your point is? Making excuses before you even play?

Agree0 Disagree0

It's a bad day when you are worried who the referee is.

Agree0 Disagree0

1) you know my point.
2) i am not mystic meg.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a grip talking about a ref before youve even kicked a ball.Laffs goal offside on sunday my arse but havent heard a peep about it if it were you lot there would a crime scene set up ffs move on and try and win a few games then i bet the ref wont be mentioned Ger ry

Agree0 Disagree0

Isn't this a Celtic site ?
The fact is it has been proven that their is anti Celtic bias throughout Scottish football, have the events of last season been forgotten ? Where is the ex CEO of the SFA now plying his trade ? What about the ex head of refereeing ? Oh and have we forgotten the cheating Reverend ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen bhoys, it could be the grand master of the Orange order who is referring our game for all I care we should still hump Ross county and if we don't then we deserve all we get .

Please Lenny, ditch the zonal marking!

It clearly dosent work, it cost us in Madrid and cost us on Sunday. Letting players run from the edge of the area at set pieces therefore getting a running jump when meeting the ball is just crazy! Defenders are jumping from a standing position and have no chance

I have to defend Mulgrew and Loovens with this one, they are doing what they are told, the tactic is flawed.

Does anyone else agree? {Ed007's Note - I am not a fan of zonal marking.}

Believable24 Unbelievable6

Zonal marking only works if players are good enough to play it, if you look at the goals in madrid and ibrox you will c that its loovens thats runnin and miss timing his jump, man utd play zonal marking and they have the players who listen, we have played zonal marking aw season an loovens cums back and we conceed 2 goals in 2 games from it, lennon picked the wrong team on sunday, thats wats to blame nuthin else

But Lennon said: 'It's just players not doing their individual jobs.

'I know people talk about zonal marking. Well, actually, there was man-marking in that area, but for some reason Jelavic gets a free run and a free header.

'You look at that, and, if I have to make personnel changes, then I will do it.'¬ù

quote from lennon in the evening times stephenmiller1967

Agree0 Disagree0

Zonal marking requires huge discipline and has to be drilled day in day out. We seem to get caught somewhere in between with the obvious results. I agree very good players can play it and average players seem to get caught out for whatever reason. BTW Loovins is not even average in my view.
I am a great believer in following the most dangerous man and stopping him connecting with the ball.
Strikers hate that as they work to their drill and the law of averages to an extent to try and exactly pinpoint where the ball will be for a perfect header (usually) If a defender matches the run it is very off-putting and usually means a poor or no connection. Of course the problem is then defending the second ball. We are also P*** poor at that and who knows how we coach that into the defenders. A Francey scrimach thats what :)

Agree0 Disagree0

As a bluenose i have to say you are correct.The players are confused and the keeper is left in a position of not knowing to stay or collect Celtic are a good team and a tweek here and there is all thats needed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Graig levein pointed out the flaw in the zonal marking celtic had three players along the edge of the 6 yard box in a straight line but they should be staggered at an angle depending on if its an in swinging or out swinging corner made perfect sense when he was saying that on sportscene we however were flat across the back dont like zonal myself think you should always mark the danger men closely

Agree0 Disagree0

I always think that messing around with what a team in comfortable/confident with always leads to problems. Whether it's formations, systems or even personnel it is always causes a problems.

Even MON's great teams had problems when he changed things around so it's no surprise that we are seeing mixed performances and results when we adopt these changes.

Footballers in general (apart from those at the top of the game) are creatures of habit and like any of us often do not adapt to change immediately.

IMHO I do not think we have the right people in the current squad to cope with zonal marking but I'm sure Lenny will be aware of the short comings of this system and will hopefully go back to man marking asap

For all our sakes lets hope this realisation is tonight and not tomorrow morning!

Zonal marking in my eyes would be if a ball goes into your space you win it simple as, loovens seems to follow the ball and i think thats puts other defenders of, but as a said lennon said we didnt ave zonal markin on sunday players just nva dun there jobs, and tbh a think jellybelly was a tiny bit lucky with his header but thats not an excuse

hi ed just a thought do you think lenny may have lost the dressing room after his bust up with commons? {Ed007's Note - No.}

Believable23 Unbelievable11

One thing is for sure Lenny wont lose the dressing room! Even if he has crossed words with our best player. At end of the day Lenny breaths Celtic loves and respects the fans and knows what the club is all about. Ok i do have ?s about some of his tactics and player selections at times and I wonder if he is the right man to take us forward. However the guy only wants whats best for us. Like us all he will make mistakes but at the end of the day he is the gaffer and if any player in that dressing room cant take the heat when THEY dont perform then they can go. No player or manager is bigger than CFC and for the record Neil Lennon knows that and he is hurting as much as us when we lose. Long way to go in the SPL hope Neil turns this round and is running round Celtic park with the SPL trophy at the end of the season!!

Agree0 Disagree0

At the end of the season he will be running round celtic park but it will be to say cheerio to everyone how much failure do you runner up experts think your board will suffer it will be a sad day at ibrox when he gets sacked but thats the reward that for mediocrity

Lads in reply to a rumour on this forum i wrote that i knew an X player who still gets to here a few things that goes on. 100% true Commons was gobbing off to Lenny when he was giving the players a de brief after the St johnston game So dont know whats going on now between them. However i want to stress no one has mentioned a transfer.

Believable11 Unbelievable3

I dunno mate, I more inclined to believe that he is not match fit. He was dropped from the Scotland squad too remember.

I hope he catches his form again as he was one of the best players we had last season and scored some fantastic goals.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes thats true but more to this than meets the eye. He did mouth back though. Just hope Lenny gets things right because areally would love him to do well but iam really unsure at the momment. X bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I posted on here a few weeks ago and mentioned that I was told the reason he's not match fit is because he's carrying an injury that he's had since last season start of pre season to his foot that he can't shake off.

Don't read to much into what you hear about dressing room arguments, it happens more than you think.
Strong personalities usually clash

Richybhoy {Ed007's Note - Commons has said himself he was fit and available for Sunday's match.}
