Saidy Janko arrives, although a wee bit later then was expected.
Vossen not on our list according to certain folk? Wrong - again taken a bit longer than expected but he will give his decision in the next few days. Several clubs after him, and fee/money from EPL/Championship will dwarf our offer BUT champions league football may outweigh cash, a player who is hungry for football and not cash?

Football over cash? He'd be playing a better standard of opposition every week than we do, we're also not guaranteed CL group stages so I don't see where you're coming from with that one.

@Jd88 we have missed the boat on vossen. So let's move on to other targets.

Checked in, and was over the moon initially from the tip! Cooled the flames of the 100k ship sail psyche creeping in,momentarily, didn't want that shabby beast cifti tbh (3am princess last call taxi lumber of a signing and I always had him down as one of Them without feasibly being so , unfair but warranted! ). Pray/hope/wish vossen comes now but its in the same ilk of a fat guy bringing presents to you for christmas. its your da and he isn't going to shell out for the best pair of boots but a pair that will do you, and you won't remember in a few years time.
Maybe i'm blind (enthusiastic) hopeful (delusional) half cut (and on the road to help) RD MUST have a wee sneaky signing lined up that the DR doesn't know about? Janko done, but ill repeat my old mans line of “dont sell mathews/lustig till we know janko can cut it”
Our best finishing first 10 of last season will be the guys that determine our fate. progression comfortable or stress free is down to our transfer movement after our first two "minnow" games

Ed Who is hazard? Good to see all the young lads on the bench

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - Conor Hazard, a young 16 years old GK from Northern Ireland.}

Particularly in the first half there was some very encouraging stuff from the young Celts.

Boyata's physical presence was there to see and Henderson again was very tidy and another good display from Tierney. Really think GMS will be a revelation even at CL level.

Janko has signed a 4 yr deal subject to medical results the club will have tomorrow

Janko looks impressive but his signing indicates to me one of three things will happen - 1. We'll use him as a winger 2. Lustig moving into the middle or 3. Matthews is away. What do you reckon Ed?

Believable3 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - Matthews will be away.}

01 Jul 2015 10:22:24
I know he's been injured a lot but Mathews when fit is one cracking RB! would be sad to see him go!

Has Saidy Janko actually signed for Celtic yet?

Matthews only has 1 year left on his deal and is too injury prone. If we could get 1 to 1.5 million for him that would be good business.

I was kind of hopeing for Lustig moving into Middle and just have all round cover at the back ie - Matthews for RB/LB/wing, Janko - RB/wing, Lustig RB/CB. Have you anything set in stone Ed regardng Matthews or is that jut what you expect to happen (not that I'd argue either way! lol)

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I said a few weeks ago that I could see Lustig or Matthews moving on and if Lustig stays we might see him move into the middle, playing there is a lot easier on his hip and his fitness would be easier to manage playing there as the player has said himself. Remember we have Fisher as well although I don't think RD rates him too highly he will do as cover in the SPL and Ambrose can play as a RB as well.
QPR have registered there interest in Matthews but I wouldn't rule out a return to Cardiff.}

Lustig to me is a Quality player and I think you are spot on Ed007 he would fit in well in the middle

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I think Lustig's a great player and hopefully his injury problems behind and can get a run in the team. Lustig/Boyata sounds better to me than Boyata/Mulgrew or Ambrose/Boyata as a starting pairing.}

01 Jul 2015 15:37:31
Think we've had a good few years out of Matthews! He's not been the same player this past year or so but! Big lustig is the better player for me.if we can keep him fit then he has to be our 1st choice RB,maybe janko will play right mid! wouldn't imagine he'll come straight into the team but.

Would rather we got rid of the bombscare ambrose than Mathews but wouldn't mind ambrose as a back up DM at least he wouldn't be the last man in the line!
