Not sure this will happen on Sunday but i would like to see Commons, Brozek, McGeough, Ibrahim and Lustig get a bit of a run out in the remaining games. The players have put in a great shift since the turn of the yaerno doubt about it but recently we drew with Aberdeen, were 2nd best to Dundee Utd till they had a man sent off and now lost the final to Killie. Either some of the players need a rest or a wee reminder there are others in the squad desperate to play

The team that played yesterday should be fielded to start the game to make up for their performance. in the cup. Get a couple of goals then bring on the young guns Julie

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, i hope we use the rest of the season to give all the boys a run out who havent played as much this season so we can get a good look at them, however theres still another cup to be won

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree that the warning signs have been there for a few weeks as a few of them are 'jaded' or running on empty and we have not been making full use of such a huge squad up to now.
I think NL wanted to push on with what he felt was his strongest team for as long as possible - even though Hooper and Forrest and a couple more were off form.
Again we have had a setback at the tail end of the season and I hope lessons have been learned from last season - or what should have been a glorious triumph will be a damp squib and anti-climax.

Jungle Jim

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets win a trophy before we start thinking about who we can drop and who we can develop.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont get this "They are jaded" or "They need a rest". Look at jocavich, they guy plays or has played 4 hours in a semi final and then has a final of 3+ hours the next day. That is an excuse for a rest not footballers playing for 90 minutes. I mean c'mon.

What I do think is K Wilson should be dropped immediately. he makes big Dan look like Baresi. He was culpable for the goal on Sunday along with Ki. {Ed001's Note - there is a big difference between tennis and football (or rugby and other contact sports) which require the extra rest. A tennis player is not getting kicked and barging and banging into his opponent throughout a match. That is why a boxer needs even more rest, it is the physical damage done that is the issue. They need time to heal, but I do think there is an issue with the training if players are suffering with exhaustion.}

Agree0 Disagree0

First and foremost a victory is essential, can't lose to this shower
if we're 4-0 up at half time by all means get the reserves on, but we've seen how easy it is to expect to just turn up for a win and get done for it

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair play Ed. I agree Tennis is a non contact sport but it seems the first excuse out the bag when the team doesnt perform. If these players are gubbed then we should bring in the others. thats the whole point of having a big squad. For me Samaras should have played on Sunday as the big pitch suits the big man as he has plenty of running in him and he might have dragged a well organised Killie defence all over the place. {Ed001's Note - I agree with you, I was just pointing out that it is not quite that simple, even though I do agree with you. The pre-season is too easy these days and mid-season training is too hard. I mean why not give the players a day off in the week if they are seeming jaded? Arrange a team bonding day or something, so they can recover. Or, as you were saying, makes changes to give players a rest.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys we lost a game , C'mon we're all gutted but lets not forget the fact that we have been sensational and it's just a small setback. Yes we need to freshen things up a little but give the players credit for where we are.

We don't have the right to win football matches and killie played well.

A double is still there so keep the faith

What if a game of football breaks out at Ibrox on Sunday and there's no trouble in the stands ? What if there's a minute's applause for Liam Kelly's dad that both sets of fans respect ? The game and result are not that lmportant in the scheme of things as the league is already won and the fat lady is about to sing .

Paddy Malarkey {Ed007's Note - I'm sure that any tribute to Liam Kelly's dad will be impeccably respected by both sets of fans.}

Believable17 Unbelievable1

I think that for once, surely a minutes silence would be respected, surely. I do not think a minute's applause is the rite thing to do. Representatives from both sides must get together to arrange the minutes silence. Also, does anyone agree that the Kilmarnock v Motherwell game should be cancelled as a mark of respect to the lads family. This is more important than parading the Cup, this can be done at a later date. Davo 88

Agree0 Disagree0

Silence is the most respectful gesture. it marks a sharp contrast to the usual noise of 50k fans at a footie game. {Ed007's Note - I personally think silence is more respectful in these type of circumstances. It was always a more solemn feeling and then the short burst of applause as fans applaud each other in unison. Some of them I have witnessed over the years have been very moving. I am sure both sets of fans will do their club proud, what ever is decided as a tribute.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Gers fan here peace i think a minutes silence would be more respectfull to the lads family im sure both sets of fans will do rangers and celtic fans proud after all it a game of football i really felt sad for the the lad football takes a back seat in times like these so come on bears and celts do your bit at the game lets show a bit of respect {Ed007's Note - Well said that man.}

Cannot quite believe some of the drivvel "Celtic" fans are putting in here. Yes, I am gutted about yesterday, we were miles off the pace, but come on. Hooper & Stokes aren't Celtic class, Forrest over rated. Very fickle indeed. Bet you anything those words never left your lips prior to yesterday. KTF. These players are a massive reason why we are going to be Champions. Don't forget it!

Jamesey Bhoy

Believable20 Unbelievable8

Well said Jamsieboy. We had a bad day the team have got us to this point. Foster did not have a lot to do. Bell was the man of the match. that shows the amount of chances we had. Julie

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree we were miles off the pace and I know the team have done well but I don't want to listen to crap about referees , the manager picked the wrong team and his tactic were wrong, I will forgive him for making a mistake but I don't want to listen to Sh1te or blind loyalty p1sh ,wilson back in Ledley playing wide give me peace.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gutted too, just had a bad day, think Forrest is looking knackered and some players looking off form the last few weeks but maybe the defeat will give them a boot up the arse before the old firm game.

Agree0 Disagree0

If rangers werent in a mess yous would be runners up again

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with the 2nd post, don't mind Neil giving himself a fly pat on the back when we win, telling everone how Wonderful we played. But he needs to be held accountable after results like yesterday's. I used to take pelters for backing Gordon Strachan during his tenure. Gordon won 3 in a row, was close to doing 4, yet got slaughtered for far less than the present Manager. Why? Seemingly Gordon wasn't Celtic minded. Well, give me a Manager who isn't Celtic minded, but can win "THE BIG GAMES" That will do for me. This blind loyalty being shown by some fans, coupled with Neil's self preservation Society, is costing us silverware! Davo 88 {Ed007's Note - I always felt GS was never given the credit he deserved by a lot of CFC fans Davo. Don't forget he took us to the last 16 of the CL for the first time as well.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly Ed, far too many fans buying into this "Bring back the thunder" nonsense. If Neill would concentrate more on bringing back the silverware, rather than the thunder, we would be moving in the rite direction. Peter Lawell needs to have a quiet word i'm afraid, let Neil know his settling in period is well & truly over. Davo 88

Agree0 Disagree0

Lenon keeps playing favourites and changing the team too often. Hooper not Celtic class. If he was he would have scored when given a free shot at goal. Larsson would not have missed a free attempt to score that presented to him. Willson is guiolty of ball watching and cost us the game yesterday same as he did at Ibroke earlier in the seaon. I agree forget Thunder and bring back silverware.

What the f*** stv are reporting online that this new bid for the dark side may well be some Arab shiek who runs quatar 5th richest man in the world de steffano of Dundee fame introduced them to the dark side and they would seem to be putting a bid in {Ed007's Note - All he has done is inform them of Rangers plight. It is also a bit strange that the only people reporting it are Rangers media partners. Would Rangers fans be happy that their owner offered amnesty to Saddam Hussein? It stinks of a publicity stunt by Di Stefano.}

Believable5 Unbelievable14

Could be a ring of truth to it after all we all want our kids to spend the pocket money we give them wisely but we dont want them to have better toys than us And as for the amnesty think you will find it was Saddams relatives he gave amnesty to takes a bigger man to forgive and forget than to take revenge on a whole family for the sins of the father or would you rather he slaughtered innocent men woman and children in the hopes of maybe getting a few bad guys amongst them {Ed007's Note - No he gave his family amnesty and property, he offered him amnesty whilst Di Stefano represented him as a lawyer.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't panic, the next owner of Rangers will be Brian Kennedy, his bid is the best so far, "so says Miller from the Rangers supporters assc" although it would be nice if the Arabs bought it "tons of money" but it's a pipe dream on our behalf.

I dont see what this big fascination is surrounding James Forrest. He is
very mediocre at best. If he is Scotlands future then we are in a very bad way as a national team. Gary Mackay-Steven, Johnny Russell, and David Templeton are all better players with more quality. Surley even the most die hard Celtic supporters will admit that James Forrest is very overated?

Opinions Fellow Hoops Fans..?

Believable30 Unbelievable19

How many times have you seen him playing? Did the Scotland manager not rate him?

Agree0 Disagree0

I presume you're joking? I would agree in the past month he hasn't been at his best, but he is clearly suffering from burn out in his first full season where he has played a hell of a lot if games. The boy is class and my sentiments are mirrored by fifa who naked him in their youngsters to watch

Junglebhoy33

Agree0 Disagree0

More inconsistant rather than overrated, but has potential to become very good

Agree0 Disagree0

I posted something similar about forrest early on in the season saying i didnt think he as good as people think but then he started hitting form but i was still unsure now recently he is playing poorly again yes he is still young and will get better but imho i dont think hes as good as others make him out to be davie c

Agree0 Disagree0

Whos johnny russell ? {Ed007's Note - He plays for Dundee Utd.}

Agree0 Disagree0

He has been pushed far too hard in my opinion this season and we could have rested him more with cover from McGeough, Commons and McCourt as we have had a points cushion for weeks.
He is not as gifted as McGeady but he does have potential and ability IMO

Jungle Jim

Agree0 Disagree0

He was poor yesterday. but so was everyone apart from brown and mulgrew imo. think forrest has a better all round game than mcgeady had at this stage.

Agree0 Disagree0

He has been poor recently but when he is on form he is amazing and only a young bhoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's all that blue blood he has in his veins, he's just not at his best playing in green and white

Agree0 Disagree0

Forrest is a better player than McGeady was at the same age. McGeady went for 9 million, so strongly disagree. Davo 88

Was at Hampden today watching the Hoops, first time since 2007 (unable to renew season tickets due to work committments). The result and performance was bad enough but the behaviour of some Celtic fans was disgraceful. I witnessed 3 punch ups between so called fans, fighting amonst themselves. Most upsetting though was the action of some of the Green Brigade. I watched as they moved genuine fans from their seats so they could all sit together. Not once were people asked "would you mind moving", they basically bullied themselves in. Old guys, dads with kids all moved out their genuine seats to make room for these bullies. What happened to Celtic fans? I would have expected something like that from the shame not us.

Believable28 Unbelievable12

Worlds greatest fans eh !

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny I was at the match and was close to the CB did not see any bullying.
Me thinks your from the dark side......Sean

Agree0 Disagree0

OK Mr. Deflection. Stick to the tax dodging page.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing happened to Celtic fans, you're the same bullies pretending to be victims you've always been. You are the shame.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesn't surprise me at all have seen it done before myself!! Green brigade call them selfs fans! Need to take a good look at them selfs shame!

Agree0 Disagree0

Got to say I was sitting very near the GB and didn't see anything like what you say & I'm normally the first to moan about any bad behaviour. Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

Was very close to GB myself and never saw any of this sh*** myself stay on your own page member of the darkside

PADDYBHOY

Agree0 Disagree0

The OP is a complete and utter lie. I'd bet anyone it is one of the shame trying to stir it up. They couldn't even organise a 'boycott' of the dundee united game properly.Even their blind hatred of another club cant unite them. Shows that apart from being Scotlands Shame they are also Scotland(and England according to Gordon McQueen) biggest joke. Hail Hail ILWT

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter p1sh was sitting near the gb with my nephew and never came across any of this , fab1

Seems a raw nerve has been hit here.
