My mates a Celtic fan who is at uni in Birmingham, supposedly the rumour down there is that if villa get Robbie Keane on loan, Darren bent will be heading to parkhead on loan for the rest of the season. Celtic supposedly willing to pay 40,000 of his 65000 a week wages but only if Hooper leaves.
I'm not jumping the queue guys but just heard a rumour

Believable8 Unbelievable32

Im from Birmingham and I've not heard something so stupid in my life

Agree0 Disagree0

So Celtic are willing to pay £40K a week to a player they will never own but won't give Hooper a £25K a week contract.
What a load of rubbish.

Agree2 Disagree0

As your a student I shall say this only once...... Stay away from the mushrooms!

Am not saying Darren bents coming to Celtic am just saying a rumour av heard.
Mind you we have been linked with bigger names than this on a loan deal so don't jump the gun and mention rubbish b4 thinking first.

Dont think we'll see £40k a week player@ Paradise.

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance, he's one of those EPL snobs who think Scotland is a province of Canada

Heard a horrible rumour that Kris Boyd is having a medical on Monday and going to sign for us p, ease tell me this is S@@t
Bigbr {Ed007's Note - It looks as if he could end up back at Kilmarnock. His ex-Portland Timbers team mate Sam Werner said when he heard Boyd had left them, "Kris Boyd is gone, thank God".}

Believable10 Unbelievable29

Thanks Ed thought it was a lot of @@@@ don't rate him at all, would be a very poor signing
Bigbr

Agree0 Disagree0

He is the bluest blue nose there is, no way he'd sign for us.

Yet another ex-Rangers player goes on to greater things like Kenny Miller......not!. Would like to see Celtic taking a punt on Johnny Russell though-thoughts?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea see we have visitors from the dark side again

Agree0 Disagree0

Btw I heard he was coming to us a couple of weeks ago and thought it was a load of bull but now after this I am starting to wonder. What do you think on this ED? {Ed007's Note - It's nonsense.}

Agree0 Disagree0

He is not the kind of player that fits Celtic signing policy, we buy young players ! with sale on potenial, you know his age !and he on the down side of the hill .

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow, please try harder William.

HH
/BB {Ed007's Note - No.}

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Well that will be hard seeing as they only actuallu ended up with about 3 million because ba and his agent got most of the transfer fee for themselves

Awryt Bhoys, getting a bit worried about this Hooper situation, if he leaves any Idea who we'll bring in? hope we don't sign a total random fae an Iranian League or something lol, it's no like Miku can do the job, he'd have a better chance of proving himself though. Who would you all like to see come in if Hooper leaves? You tae Ed. emenike fae spartak would love to see him come in the summer as he can't play CL. Ken the price tag on him and wages ed? DaleBhoy1888 {Ed007's Note - Emenike has a buy out clause of 42 million Euros and is on 2.5 million Euros p.a. The player has said that Man City are interested in signing him but Man City are saying they have no interest in the player.}

Believable5 Unbelievable2

We should offer hooper a weekly rate commensurate with his worth. Hooper is a Celt in all departments and has never stated anything negative about the club in his time with us.
The England coach should recognise his talent and call him up for England duty as a Celtic Champions League player. England not calling up English players in Scotland is a conspiracy to force excellent players into the EPL for cheap deals to the detriment of Scottish football and benefit of English football.
Pay him the rate starting next week and get his 18 months remaining converted to 5 years. Bring pressure on FA to get him called up. Hooper leaving our massive european club for Norwich is insanity. Our players are guaranteed euro football going forward for years.

Agree4 Disagree0

I think he will leave in the summer, a few clubs looking at him now and rightly so, but I hope the club do everything they can to keep him. And the way John Park keeps finding good players i

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope he stays, I hope Celtic do everything they can to try and get him to stay, he should be a top earner at the club fullstop!. And John Park will have some unknown strikers in his sights, i`ve got no problem with an unkown striker coming in, I hadn`t heard of hooper, kayal or Wanyama, whoever it is that replaces him will be up to the job, Watt looks like a cracking player at only 19, I just hope we sell Stokes, Keir

Agree2 Disagree0

Johnny russell
Ska bhoy

Agree1 Disagree0

I would sell him now rather than it drag out and end up losing him on transfer deadline day and need to rush in a replacement, I would be happy with anyone john park rates to replace him . honest john

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope we don't sign a total random fae an Iranian League or something lol?

Hooper came from Scunthorpe!
Wanyama from Beerschott
Izzy for Honduran league
Kayal from Israel
Forster from newcastle reserves

oh and we signed Graveson from Real Madrid!.... people have to stop thinking certain leagues mean guaranteed quality, just not how scouting works

Celtic XI: Zaluska; Matthews; Lustig; Mulgrew; Izaguirre; Brown; Wanyama; Ledley; Samaras; Commons; Hooper.

Subs: Thomson; Gershon; Lassad; Rogne; Kayal, McGeouch; Stokes.

PT

Believable3 Unbelievable5

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with Frasier although it is good to see Thomson on the bench also who do you see coming in for Hooper if he leaves and is Miku finished at Celtic {Ed007's Note - Forster has a minor neck injury he picked up in training.}

Norwich reported to table a bid of 7m or hooper Norwich board are happy to let the funds go on such a prolific striker. Celtic are deliver to reject this offer again and demand 7m plus 20% sell on fee.

Believable8 Unbelievable12

Scunthorpe must have a good sell on fee due from us?

Heard a rumour this morning that Lenny and Mr Lawwell had a "full and frank" discussion with Hoops and his representatives.Seems the outcome was an offer of £25k per week for another two years on his contract.If this is not accepted then we will sell for £7m this month, both offers are non negotiable.Apparently a buyer has asked to be kept informed and has agreed the fee.I for one hope this is true.It is long overdue some club took a stance against players running their contract down, if true well done Celtic.ED007; your a good rumours man any info?...............green jhedi {Ed007's Note - I've not heard anything new today GJ.}

Believable10 Unbelievable6

Norwich fan and I have heard the same kind off down this end Norwich bidder 5m and Celtic apparently have told Norwich board they want to keep it behind closed doors and told Norwich if they want there man it's 7m which Norwich have accepted so now it's down to hooper. Reports down here that Norwich are lining up a 30k a week wage for him on a 2 year deal with Norwich being able to extend it to 3. Just like the tettey deal. Really if we stay up this year they will be getting a year extension and pay rise tettey has. 10% payrise every year Norwich stay in the Pl.

I told him hat can't be sure as we rejected a bid at half of that today but he said he was sure. anyone else hear this at all? can't see them doubling there offer in a matter of hours 2b honest

No not Holt its Morison, deal will be concluded Monday subject to medicles,

I can't believe we would take Morison. His goal ratio is 1 in 4 and is distinctively average.
