I must disagree, yes he is tall but there is some video that shows he can move from high to low . I read this a lot but only now have I signed in , I have coached at a good level in my younger days and I have enjoyed Ronnies way off thinking and how he gets the best off players , and I think he can make this lad better

Your right he's no goal Machine , but he's a different option for us , the way Ronnie plays his teams the centre forward is a link man and for hold up play not to score lots and lots off goals

This is another CF risk we do not need another option we need a starting CF to lead the line not a big lump who can't score for sh!t! Iv not seen him but stats don't lie! We need to invest in the next striker star, our scouts must be able to find the next best thing or what are they getting paid for?

Hapoyrob, I agree with you, he can play a bit. And I kbow where you're coming from with regards to a hold up CF. But he doesn't score or assist, barely at all. Just sounds like another couple million down the pan. We could have had a £15m striker by now. What happened to trimming the squad, quality over quantity. Or are we just looking to make a small squad of average players. Personally I'd go for Kevin Kuranyi or Lucas Barrios on frees. They'd be my top two anyway. There's a whole list of other strikers I, and i'm sure everybody else could list they'd prefer also.

The only way we will get a class cf us to pay top money , so we look at players we could try and make better it's a massive Gamble , Martin O'Neill Looked at players who where on a low and gave them confidence , it's the way football is , it's all about money , loans are better as if they are crap send them back

As far as I am aware Boro have first option on him after his loan. So if I understand that right it means that they would have to decide not to sign him before we even get a sniff! Bamford (their top scorer) has just retured to Chelsea. So I imagine if that is the case they will be looking to get him signed first an foremost before looking at other attaking options aswell

Not sure Tony don't think there is a specific date that will be set in stone, think it will be when his club decide that Boro have had ample time to make an offer they will then withdraw the option, most likley when the transfer window opens (but again Imay be wrong cheif)
