Brendan has commented a few times that he likes kouassi.
He has said the only reason he hasn't played more is because he is in direct competition with Scott brown for a place in the team.
He had no fear in playing him home and away against zenit last season.

BR has stated a few times that Kouassi is the long term replacement for Brown. I can see him play a lot more this season.

I agree McGinn is unlikely to be a starter in CL or in many league games unless we get injuries, at least initially. I’m sure we all accept that in this day and age players get tapped up so it seems pretty certain we will get him on a pre contract or for lesser fee in January. That being the case would £3m not be bteer spent on a RB? Let’s say we pay £3m and he plays 10 full games in his first 6 months, that’s £300k a game plus wages. VFM? Play the long game I’d say. HH.
