No he's right, the Dakota hotel is outside glasgow at Eurocentral/ Newhouse, but Brendan is only chuffed cause they haven't called last orders yet👍.

Exciting stuff on this thread, maybe we can move on to discuss why Ramada changed its name to mercure.

If that's the case then the deal must be close as one paper said BR met with DD in Dublin yesterday.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 May 2016 07:55:54
Rodgers still has two years of severance pay to get so unless dd gives him the money he won't be coming.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 May 2016 13:36:41
It would not matter a jot where he is DD is in Ireland at a playing golf relaxed about the whole so either they are waiting to hear back from someone or they are no where near getting a manager in. Prob be no where near.

Hearing that rodgers has walked away from any deal as he was not impressed by the conditions offered to him, Source also said that malky mckay will be manager by end of next week.

17 May 2016 16:07:42
That u on again hoops88 with yet another made up story? So who's your source then? Why wait til next week if it McKay? Would love you to come on and back up your words at least once!

17 May 2016 16:23:20
Hooper88 you left us years ago to try your luck in England it's not our fault it never worked out for you! Listen I know you regret leaving us but there is no need to come on here and upset us with your lies! Lol.

Edd07, your supposed to be the man in the know.. You have put forward BR as being a cert for manager as per your trusted contact. I'm willing to bet that it will be announced that Malky will get the job!

{Ed007's Note - Deary me, Hunskelper, I'm surprised you've got the balls to come back on here let alone challenge me after the skelping I gave you you last time. You keep your money, you've got 40 people's wages to find (giggle)

was out again at weekend with friend who told group of us at xmas rodgers deal had been done then he is still insisting he has seen the paperwork some time ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 May 2016 22:02:03
If people are so sure it's big Malkey they should get over to a bookies as he is currently 20/ 1. Whereas Rodgers is 1/ 10. They are seldom wrong and I hope this time they are correct and it is BR.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 May 2016 22:20:03
Did you really just say the bookies are seldom wrong Joe?

18 May 2016 00:11:07
Rangobango how did your friend see the paperwork? Load of nonesense.

18 May 2016 23:16:40
He works in a law office obviously and the year oneil stepped down told us strachan had signed and that was months before it was announced that's why I trust him I put this on here weeks ago so if you missed out on better odds than 1/ 10 sorry.

Hail hail!

New member here!

I've heard 2 separate rumours pointing towards one guy becoming new manager. One of those involves registering his kids in school here. that man is Neil Lennon.

Anyone else heard similar?

Think he kept his home in Glasgow and moved back soon after he left the Bolton job did he not?

If someone follows this up with news about NL getting a sky package sorted then it's only a matter of time before he's unveiled.

Agree9 Disagree0

17 May 2016 12:11:34
He's had a flat in Dowanhill for years, and still has it. His boy was at St Aloysius before so it's hardly a big deal if he's back there if they've all moved back to Glasgow. He was a good player for us, I respect him totally but his management spell with us was average. It took a few attempts to get in Europe under him, we were appalling in domestic cups, and there was no Rangers. Even Aberdeen weren't as good then. Bolton was a failure, so why anyone wants him back is beyond me.

For anyone that's interested - Frankie Boyle lived in the same street the last I heard.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 May 2016 12:37:56
Frankie Boyle you say he's good at talking might be worth a punt. 😀.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 May 2016 13:14:46
Alternatively Jim, - we could get Frankie to do our PR. If Malky Mackay gets the job we might need to. All kidding aside, I just want us to, for once, go and pay whatever it takes to get a real top manager. I'm talking someone even better than Martin O'Neill. For me it pays for itself, - it can improve the whole club, from selling more jerseys to improving our youth. The whole dynamic/ standing of the club changes. It also gives you that edge, extra 10%/ 20% before we even play a game. The opposition automatically thinks we're better than we are also, it changes the perception completely. And let's face it, as it stands our stock has never been lower. We have to do what it takes, I'd happily sell Biton for eg and give the money to a manager as a salary. If we get hit with a Lennon or a Mackay it will honestly tip me over the edge. It will be a potential case of human combustion.

17 May 2016 13:19:47
Delphic I'd say you're being a wee bit harsh there. Lennon inherited a woeful Mowbray team and had to buy a lot of new players and in a short space of time if you remember how the club made him wait ages before appointing him. He then took all those new players to within one game of winning the league and then won it the next season with Rangers still there. Cups, I agree they were rotten. Europe, definitely 50/50.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 May 2016 13:42:37
Got to agree Delphic get the best manager we can. I'd certainly be happy with o'neill as he gets the best out of what he has IMO. I've got a horrible feeling that the club are going to wait till after the season ticket renewals before appointing someone. If sales are good then expect Lennon and if sales are poor they might have to push the boat out. That's why I'm not renewing till I know who it is as I want the best not the easiest option and withholding renewal is the only bargaining chip I see. That said I might still renew regardless who is in charge as they won't put me in any worse a seat than I have just now so I can hold off .
