Just heard celtic will sign andre blackman on a one year deal later this week. James Gordon

Believable16 Unbelievable8

Just great. yawn.

Agree0 Disagree0

James Gordon are you related to Craig Gordon {Ed007's Note - Or Flash?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Blackman is supposed to be a bad boy, would Celtic really want that sort of hassle, although it is said he's one of the best players outside the PL, time will tell

Agree0 Disagree0

Just the class we are needing at CP.........not!

Ed007 mate.Do you know if we are even linked with anyone in January.I hope it is a CB. {Ed007's Note - Jordan Rhodes has a £2 million release clause in his contract and according to The Mirror (questionable source) it is between ourselves and Newcastle apparently. We were close to signing him before but opted for Hooper instead. As for the CB situation I haven't heard anything of note. The Forster loan deal could become permanent in January instead of next summer though.

I really can't see Jordan Rhodes coming to SPL but will gladly stand corrected if he does Ed - Mrs E {Ed007's Note - I'd be as surprised as you Mrs E, I reckon he is EPL bound. I had a snoop about and a few sites have the story, someone told me the other day that the story was in one of the Sunday papers (I think it was The People, no pun intended lol) and I said it was garbage, now it has appeared on these sites. Just remember though that a lot of sites, caughtoffside etc just pay kids to make up stories/rumours to grab peoples attention and get hits.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see us getting this new kid Rhodes (I'm positive he'll go to an EPL team) why wouldn't he?
Hope we get a new CB (prob not) also hope we don't sign bigfoot as imo he's not a good goalie at all!

He did link up well with James Forrest for the 1st Scotalnd goal & scoring for fun at Huddersfield. £2m+ for another striker though...We must sign a defender though surely. How would you says League 1 compares with the SPL (I would like to think Old firm are at least Championship material) - Mrs E {Ed007's Note - Celtic and Rangers would be challenging in the Championship IMO. A couple of years with that money and higher profile and we would get promoted. Once/if the Glasgow teams got into the EPL both teams would be up challenging in a couple of years, look at the fan base of both teams all over the world, sell out matches every second week, SKY's money rolling in, sponsorship deals would go through the roof etc. Sadly I can't see it happening though.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather go to an away game in Manchester, Liverpool etc than Inverness. No offence to any supporters up North (I love that part of Scotland). Would probably get to Midlands quicker and what a game it would be... I used to be totally opposed to joining English Leagues but now I can't see any other way forward :(

CB67...totally agree about the goalie situation. A couple of DECENT centre halfs & Goalie in January - I'll be a happy hoopy

Down here in Newcastle there has been no real mention of him being a 'major' target, they have 'bigger' players in their sights such as Maiga and more recently Giroud who Celtic were after a couple of season's back and has proved to be a big hit stepping up to Ligue 1 (the 1 that got away). How strong Celtic's interest is though is also open to debate. Just a point worth noting though. Anyway, i really don't hope Celtic are now in a situation where they would struggle to lure a player from League 1 and Huddersfield. Given his links, Lee Clark would probably encourage Jordan a move to the toon however if no EPL club makes a firm offer, i believe Celtic would have every chance. The lads still young and could easily use Celtic as a stepping Stone should he wish.

First man i would go for in january window is sean st ledger.not getting game for leicster but playing blinders for r.o.i.would steady backline no danger.As for rhodes,we should pay huddersfield theyre 2m clause right now and get him signed.Finger out lawell.We deserve better.Philbhoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

There's no release clause {Ed007's Note - There are conflicting reports over it. I know the manager has said there isn't but manager's aren't all privy to contract negotiations or it's contents. I'm not sure either way TBH. The story didn't just appear from nowhere, someone has said it, maybe an agent??}

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont see the Forster deal becoming permanent as he was 4th choice on lenny's list of goalies and lawwell brought him in not lenny {Ed007's Note - He was always NL's first choice as a GK. CFC tried to buy him at the end of last season and Newcastle said no, that is when they started looking elsewhere. He was always NL's first choice, and the deal is already in place to buy him next summer, with a fee agreed.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Wrong ED and i know for a fact he was not lenny's 1st choice goalkeeper and the only reason he was brought in was cos the keepers lenny wanted ahead off him namely boruc , westwood and sandormieski had wage demands higher than the 7k goalie budget lenny was given by lawwell , believe me that is only reason and he was signed by lawwell not lenny {Ed007's Note - So you are calling NL a liar? Every single interview he done he states that Forster had been his No.1 target and that they had a bid rejected. I think I will believe NL and others over you mate:

www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/aug/17/celtic-stoke-birmingham-rangers-europa

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't believe everything you read in the rags and there is no guarantee lenny will be there next season and i know forster wont be whatever becomes of lenny , listen you don't know anything that is happening at Cp if you think NL is calling the shoots re- transfers & signings and just for the record Boruc was his #1 goalkeeping target {Ed007's Note - I don't believe everything I read in the rags, it is a direct quote and interview from the manager, even Newcastle acknowledged that CFC had bid for him. You have no idea who I am or who I know so your suggestion I know nothing about what is going on at CP is very far from the truth. As for your Boruc story, he had been made Fiorentina's No.1 GK and was never a target or did he have any intention of leaving them after being made their first choice GK.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen you don't know me either and what my link is too Celtic and i'm standing by Boruc being the keeper Lenny wanted over all others , Celtic had to speak with newcastle re- forster but no bid was made to sign him and he was the only keeper on list 4th choice albeit that fitted the transfer budget off 7k ....fact but i will be back on when am proved correct and just to inform you as i dont think you know but its Lawwell and John Park who run the transfer dealings at CP again .....fact and a prime example of that is the zenden deal which didn't happen and a few others i could mention but you should know that if you know the goings-on behind the scenes at CP {Ed007's Note - I also know that it was Lawwell that handed Samaras his new contract...fact. Any posts that need to post fact to try to give them credibility are laughable, now that is a fact. If Boruc was leaving Italy he was lined up to go to Arsenal, also Tottenham were quoted 4 million Euros for him in the summer. There is no way that CFC would have paid that for him or even been able to match or better the wages he is on or would have got in the EPL.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Correct with the samaras deal as lenny wanted him away and nothing to do with a contract extension but Lawwell thought new contract would give more resale value when and if sold , read carefully i said Boruc was #1 on lenny's list of goalkeepers he wanted whether he got him or not was another matter , next was westwood then sandormieski and finally forster who out off them all was the only keeper who fitted into the 7k transfer budget . hope you understand this explanation and lets see who is correct re- forster

Agree0 Disagree0

No no no no no - harper is a better keeper than big lurch, please dont pay decent cash for this poor keeper

davybhoy ktf

Agree0 Disagree0

Frasers a very good keeper. and a lad who in a few years time english clubs will be willing to pay quite a lot for. never gonna oust hart, but he's a future england squad member for sure.
