Lior Rafaelov will not be joining former Maccabi Haifa team-mate Beram Kayal at Celtic.


Rafaelov: Will not be heading to Parkhead
.The Hoops were linked with a £2 million swoop for the 25-year-old, who is the current player of the year in Israel.

But Neil Lennon's outfit have withdrawn their interest after deciding they do not need another attacking midfielder.

Rafaelov's agent, Dudu Dahan, who was also responsible for brokering the deal which brought Kayal to the Hoops, told the Evening Times: "Lior will not be going to Celtic. He will be going to another club."

A few rumours:

Omer Damari (Maccabi Petah, Israel). 22 year old Israeli Striker. Might face competition from Maccabi Haifa looking to replace Hemed.

Probably just skeletons from weeks by but I've also heard we've officially made offers for Diomansy Kamara (Bosman), and Eremenko (1.5M but looks unlikely as Metalist want more).

2 defenders now being linked now big NL back from holiday Dino Skvorc was on trial saying he wants to follow in footsteps od Prso and Jellyfish by coming to Glasgow but to sign for us not sure if he any good or not? And Yohan Benalouane Tunisian defender plays for Italian team has been confirmed as a target also

Tomer Hemed on prospect of joining Rangers


The Gers have held talks with Hemed's agents over a possible free transfer switch to Ibrox.

A number of other clubs are believed to have expressed an interest in landing Hemed, but the Israeli international has his heart set on a switch to Glasgow.

"I am excited at the prospect of signing for such a big club as Rangers and playing under a manager like Ally McCoist, " Hemed told the Daily Record.

Celtic supposedly looking at signing Grzegorz Sandomierski, 21 year old Polish goalkeeper playing for Jagiellonia Bialystok for around £2.5-£3m. Dunno what the chances of getting him are as Juve and Chelsea are monitoring his situation.

Rangers target hemeds agent tonight trying to have talks with celtic! Rangers deal is off unless he gets a 200k signing on fee! And it looks like craig whyte has refused ....
The 12m warchest is still intact all targets are free agents...........

The two South Americans I've heard us linked with are Fred the Brazilian and Jerry Bengtson the Hounduran.
Fred would be an amazing signing having proved himself on the big stage here in Europe with Lyon and in the tough league in Brazil. Fred currently has a value of �£6.6M (according to Transfermarkt) so would guess this would need to be a loan deal.

However I think it would most likely be the young Honduran who would be the actual player as Fred may be too rich for our wage structure plus he had issue with Lyon at the end of his career their stating he wanted to return to his home country.

Bengtson I think would be an excellent signing though as he ha sjust had a great season with his new club scoring 15 times in 22 games. He is also an international having recently been included in the Honduran team, so Izzy might have indentified him as a player. Bengtson has a value of �£308K (according to Transfermarkt).

Either way I think we would do well with either of these players.

Frederico Chaves Guedes aka (fred ex lyon) it says he on his way to celtic check out his wikipedia no crap sooo there a descent rumour instead of half the 1s that r on here {Ed007's Note - Don't trust Wikipedia 100%, anyone can go on there and edit it's contents}
Actually I saw the owner of wikipedia on tv saying there so fast at editing now that a few minutes is the average for these to get erased if there wrong.........Foster88 {Ed001's Note - he was talking out of his backside, Ed003 saw a racist remark on the profile of a player he was trying to find some info out on and it was still there this morning. Wiki is the biggest waste of internet space ever invented. Great in theory, but in practice it is terrible.}
