Skinnybhoy

Believable22 Unbelievable16

Not yet, fee has been agreed but deal not done. There is no official press release stating this apart from the fee being agreed for 500,000. I'll wait until PL or NL come out and say it.

Agree1 Disagree0

Where's this announced as still nothing on official website?

I hope so though as my pals in Oz rave about the Boy.

CeltStu

Agree0 Disagree0

Premature. not yet signed. in negotiations over personal terms

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not announced anywhere like I said....only fee has been agreed, don't see it being done untill 2morro or friday at earliest...I'm sure when he's signed on the line PL or NL will announce it on the CFC website.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was tweeted to me today from a celtic scout will be in news tmoro or via celtic fc tonight

Skinnybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Does he need a work permit?

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe he is of serbian descent who are on the verge of being confirmed as part of the eu so perhaps he won't need a work permit. kevslug.

Agree0 Disagree0

Every professional shifting to or from Oz needs a work permit but there should be no complications what so ever.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tweeted or not....its not a done deal, will be done today. And yes he will need a work permit, that shouldn't be a problem as he is highly rated in aussie land so defo has an international future that will make getting the permit so much easier.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's not true, I don't need one if I go to the uk. My old mans Scottish, so I can work with a duel passport.

Melb Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

You can't just hop countries and expect to work there permanently without official declaration. Plus, i don't think Rogic's old man is Scottish. Anyway, glad we've got this lad in. Commons, Forrest and Sami will have a good bit competition now for that forward three who operate just behind hooper.

Agree0 Disagree0

He has officially signed. He signed a 4 1/2yr contract and just waiting on clearance from for a work permit

Agree0 Disagree0

Defo a done deal 4 and a half year contract just waiting on the work permit

welcome to the celtic family tom

Ed have you heard any word yet on the date and kick off of the Ross County away match? It is shown on the website as 3pm on Saturday 9th Match but surely will be moved for TV?

Darylbhoy {Ed007's Note - I don't think the TV games for then have been announced yet, it could be to do with that.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Hibs vs Hearts is also on Saturday 9th March, that'll be on TV for sure.

With stokes back last night and bangura back from his loan that's 7 strikers we have now - hooper, sammy.stokes, lassad, bangura, watt.miku surely theyr not all gona be here come end of jan ? who would you all get rid of ? personally i'd try get miku back to getafe its a shame its not worked out for him coz a genuinely think he's a good player, would try get bangura back to aik for another 6 months get more games hopefully goals and get his form up rather than sit on the bench and make the odd cameo appearence, hooper well who knows what's happening there, stokes def keep think he wil make a big difference even with hooper aswel they are deadly in the spl, and lassad i think has been a good signin so for me would try and cancel miku's loan if we can and try get bangura away for another 6 months then have another look in the summer. What yous think ?

gunniebhoy

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Stokes has to go, he is good but makes bad decisions on and off the pitch. Do you see the friendly yesterday as he had two guys in the box wide open and he shoots from outside the box nowhere near the net. He always tries to get the crazy goal instead of a garenteed goal by passing. He is too selfish and complains when it dosent go his way and that sucks because he has shown he is good. Would take miku all day long over him, do you not remember miku ran Moscow players off the filed forcing them to kick the ball out deep in thier end a bunch of times or the barca game?

Agree1 Disagree1

Mate i agree stokes can be greedy and selfish but can't nock his goal record but if we got a decent offer for him then aye i would snatch your hand off for it wer is miku just doesnt seem 2 be going 2 get anymore chances im just going with what am seein the now

gunniebhoy

Agree0 Disagree1

I think (and agree) that it will be Stokes who will exit and that's why he played yesterday imo to let would be suitors see he is back fit from injury. His off field antics are not acceptable to the Celtic hiearchy, pure and simple.

Agree1 Disagree0

Agree it may well be Stokesy making way but only as i don't really rate him that highly, didn't have a problem with his 'off-field issues' at all & it's a joke if they bin him for that, dd

Agree0 Disagree0

Miku and Lassad have no future at Celtic, like us to get rid of them and keep the rest...

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance man, stokes on his day is better than Hooper for me.
Hooper has a good run of performances then just hits a dip and is too inconsistent, I love the guy man but if stokes plays well from the run in and gets a new contract I think Hooper will stay because they are indeed deadly.
Stokes scores all sorts of goals and is a great finisher aswell, Miku is a really really good player but he needs consistent games tho not the cameo from the bench.the more he plays-the quicker he, ll pick up the form and score.
Yeah, bangura back on loan to get game time, I would have samaras out left or behind the striker, lassad and miku on the bench
Mckendrybhoyy

Agree1 Disagree0

Don't see what anyone sees in lassad so I'd get rid of him. I'd be tempted to put Watt out on loan to a Championship team on the guarantee that he will play. I really think he would benefit from that. Man you do that all the time - Beckham, Welbeck, Cleverley etc - and if its good enough for them then it is for us. I'd keep the rest. Stokes will be important in SPL and I think the rest will be important as well. I'd give Bangura 6 months to prove he has got what it takes as he can get game time if we wrap up the league early......martyc1888

Agree1 Disagree0

AIK decided not to extend bangura's loan past the initial 6 months. Surely he is at the bottom of the peking order now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Id take stokes all day long a head of miku. i'd send him straight back to spain on a one way ticket.
Raff

Agree0 Disagree0

Would loan bangura to spl team, allow us to monitor him for couple of months, killie, dons, hibs

Ska bhoy

Agree0 Disagree1

Get rid of Miku straight away. Lets not beat around the bush, the SPL is all but won and can be used as preparation for cup games/bleeding the younger lads like Watt/Bangura through. Seeing as Miku doesn't have a future beyond this season, why pay him up until the summer? Stokesy can score at SPL level and Samaras is the European secret weapon so certainly keep those two as well. Lassad, well, he's had a few impressive performances - but that's about it. He was a last minute bosman who, if an offer came in, could easily be disposed of. That said, more players the merrier really.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant loan or sell bangura 2 any 1 else this season except aik coz he can't play with 3 teams in the 1 season unless his appearence last night didn't count not sure tbh.

gunniebhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Sammi plays wide midfield so does lassad, banggoura was playing out wide last night, so that's not 7 strikers, if hooper is sold, stokes could still have the same partnership with tony watt, that he had with hooper, I would cash in on hooper in this window and send a very unhappy miku back to his club . Then buy the rogic and the yank boy we had on trial . We are a club that sale players for profit, take 7 million for hooper and move on, he no larsson, he no nicholas .

Strong rumour from Yorkshire radio beccio close to Celtic deal

Believable6 Unbelievable13

Can't see us spending money on a 29 year old

LM67

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with LM67...its against our transfer policy now...if we get another striker it will be another wee gem that JP has unearthed, celitc fc don't do signing players hittin 30 anymore....signings over the past 2-3 windows would suggest that with the exception of kelvin wilson and kris commons our signings have been under 24-25 with a sell on value. Becchio is a good player but I see us going for someone younger with more ability and future potential.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is he not signing for Wigan. Think he was at there game last night

Agree0 Disagree0

Think becchio is a great player but in my opinion there's more chance of agudelo signing. think we'll end up with him and rogic and that'll be our business done. kevslug.

Agree0 Disagree0

Story from mate in Yorkshire is he is Wigan bound.

Agree0 Disagree0

Decent player at championship level. Not worth the money, it won't happen, Rogic will though. And at less than 1/10 of the cost a much better deal

becchio is superb and would cut it no problem at celtic. what's the problem with signing a 29 year old? Unless they are asking for mega bucks or over inflated fee then he'll pay the fee back in goals. the guy is just getting into his prime.

Apparently only personal terms. Here's hoping he is as good as the right up he's been getting.

MgC

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a very gifted young lad. Give him a year or two to make his mark and you'll have a very good player on your hands.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope he blossoms here and gives us that extra bit of creativity in the midfield.
