Been reading about Glasgow City Councils emergency debate today and in particular Tory MP David Meikles comments about "a great Glasgow institution" and "an integral part of the city" . He actually wants the council to " assist " them in ther hour of need ,Unbelievable ,if your a couple of days late wiv council tax you get a letter telling you to pay the lot with interest . You couldn't make it up........DH

Believable8 Unbelievable3

I reckon in a few days time we'll be getting adverts on the tele "if you can spare just £1 a week it will go a long way to saving this Great Scottish Institution" we"ll be having wet wet wet doing a free gig at ipox and Smeato giving karate lessons for a small fee for ra Gers, pathetic.....Stevie {Ed007's Note - As long as Andy Cameron isn't the cabaret!!!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah Stevie I can just see it at 6:30 after the STV news " There now follows an appeal on behalf of The Govan Dodgers " ......DH

have a look at a certain company who were dissolved today
surely not the same company

www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/ltd/ticketus-services-65

Lubo25 {Ed007's Note - Surely not?? That would just be too obvious....wouldn't it!!}

Believable9 Unbelievable1

Ed if swiss toni has anything to do with this company then he has nads the size of Ostriches (c) Eggs

Lubo25 {Ed007's Note - See my post above about Reptilian Shapeshifters, they have powers us mere mortals can't imagine Lubo.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ticketus services 65 limited dissolved on 11/10/2011!

London
Dissolved feb 16th 2012

Agree0 Disagree0

Wat does this mean do any of yous know for the rangers case.
does it affect it in any way?

Agree0 Disagree0

There are many variants of ticketus all throughout the uk (ticketus 15, ticketus 33 etc)

im not sure why they get desolved in such a way, but it's pretty regular an commonplace. i don't believe this is the main ticketus company though

taco

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed
the plot really thickens on this

There are THREE Ticketus companies registered at the same address. Two of them are now dissolved. Ticketus 63 dissolved in january 2012 and Ticketus 65 which was dissolved today. Only one ticketus company remains at the address Ticketus 54 which is still trading

I SMELL SWISS TONI

Lubo25

Agree0 Disagree0

Ticketus set up a new stand alone company for each investment they undertake. Once the investment has completed it's course and a return paid to investors the company will be disolved. That is what will have happened here. Nothing to do with Rangers.

truth is, they wont be coming out of administration unless someone is willing to pay off ALL their debt. £120m is the rough figure needed.
no money, no transfers, no europe.
in short, we will probably be on the road to 20 in a row before hearts or motherwell or some other wee team can run us close. wont be rankers, they'll still be languishing in the lower leagues of scotland :D

Believable10 Unbelievable9

No competition makes you happy? {Ed007's Note - Seems to be working just now thanks. The gas meter reader asked me today if I had a coat hanger in my mouth because of the size of smile I had. Then he asked if my 'stash' was any good, whatever that means.}

Agree0 Disagree0

What you on about ya halfwit? Pay off all the debt? No. £120M - wtf have you plucked that from?
WATP {Ed007's Note - The 'big' tax case could cost £75 million (according to Whyte), approx £24 million to Ticketus, £9 million that caused administration, £10 million black hole is still there, add that to the £2.8 (4.2) million small tax case and all other outstanding debts (monies owed for players, compensation claims etc.).}

Sky cant cancel till end of season but the new 4 year deal does have a clause it tht rangers must play celtic 4 times a season since look likely tht if rangers were liquiqadated they would create new club tht would still count as rangers so deal will stand

Agree0 Disagree0

That is only if Rangers are granted access straight back into the SPL... otherwise they would need to be 4 'glamour friendlies'. I don't think SlY would be happy with that.

contact the government and tell Alex Salmond to think carefully before showing sympathy to tax evasion

Believable25 Unbelievable10

In times such as these its a disgrace that sammy and cammy support rampant cheating of the very same tax payers that put them in power could there be self interest at work, they both sound like the slimeball congressman at the corleone trial

hi ed .. can u answer this question please as its causing a big rift in my workplace.... if sky rip up deal ( if rangers get liquidated )n can celtic then negotiate all there games ( home )and moneys all theirs ? {Ed007's Note - Sly can't rip up the TV deal.}

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Yes they can,its dependent on both teams being in the SPL {Ed007's Note - I am not going into this again. Have you seen the contract? Are you suggesting Sly/SPL of illegal league/match rigging?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes they can it's been on bbc news! New £80m tv deal is dependant on both Celtic and rangers being involved! {Ed007's Note - Must be true if the BBC have insider knowledge of another broadcasting company's contracts then. I think UEFA/FIFA statutes know better than the BBC. Are the BBC accusing Sly/SPL of illegal league/match structuring, that is very interesting. The fact that the league operates a split system makes the 'needs to be four derby matches' claim defunct by the very laws of the SPL.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi ed thanks for the response .. but am still no sure that sky canny rip up deal .... why no pap that mob in the 3rd division of the outer herbridies reserve league and we can still have 4 glamour friendlies ( albeit way a couple of sheep dugs and a couple of koos )

ED007: come in peace this time LOL, I reda last night you stated that if the Gers were still in Administration come the start of the new season that we would be starting -10 points. Where you getting that from. {Ed007's Note - Any club who is in administration at the start of a season is deducted points. It is a rule throughout football.}

Believable15 Unbelievable1

If a club starts the season in Administration they start with a 25 point penalty {Ed007's Note - Is that not decided by a panel? Or would they count as repeat offenders like Dundee???}

Sorry to sicken you but SlY deal has a clause that Rangers must be allowed to transfer their membership/ownership to any new pheonix company allowing then to compete in the SPL with no further penalty under SFA RULE(14.1) and SFL RULE (13) There could have been further sanctions but SlY would not be happy with that scenario. Looks like they will be getting away with about £12mill a point good work if you can get it

Believable4 Unbelievable19

Dont talk s**te , the Sly deal cant have any such clause , there are no 100% guarantees that Rangers or Celtic will always be in the top 6 after the split , the rules state that clubs in administration are deducted 10 points and barred from from European Club competitions as well as having a transfer embargo placed on the club , HMRC also dont give a tuppny feck about the Sly Deal , so jog on Nobby . {Ed007's Note - I have been saying for months there is no clause in the Sly contract, for numerous reasons including ones you mentioned mate.}

Ed, I posted on the other forum but no one was willing to answer.

What will happen to Murray Park as it's owned by Sir David Murray. Will the administrators continue to pay for the use of the facilities and if they won't will SDM kick them out?

The more horror stories I hear bout them lot and the dept to other SPl clubs the more I hope
they depart our game.

Richybhoy. {Ed007's Note - It is another thing that will need to be looked at and sorted out. There are so many permutations but nothing is clear enough to say as of yet.}

Did not Murray sell the ownership of Murray Park to a consortium who leased it back to Rangers. So don't think it is owned by Murray and not by Ranger's either.

looks like wee craigy has been telling more porky pies and another court case on its way

The Telegraph
By Ewing Grahame
Rangers sold top scorer Nikica Jelavic to Everton for £5.5million just as the transfer window was about to close on Jan 31.

That piece of business was necessary due to the club’s cash flow problems but, ironically, Rangers still owe money for the Croat.

Jelavic was signed from Rapid Vienna in 2010 but it emerged last night that the final payment, believed to be in the region of £1.2million, has still to be paid.

The news of Rangers’ demise has prompted the Austrian club to consult a British law firm.

“We have not been paid in full,†said Peter Klinglmüller, Rapid’s head of communications. “Like everyone else, we have been reading about Rangers’ situation on the internet. The transfer fee for Jelavic was to be paid in three instalments, with the final one due this summer.

“We have been in contact with the British law agency we used in that transfer to find out what our position is now that Rangers have gone into administration.â€

Hey ed, can you please tell me what the thinking was with them signing cousin?
I mean, surely the football department was aware at the time that they were about to go into administration and people higher up would've known for longer.
So why did they bother signing him knowing full well that there was a massive chance that he'd never play for them but may still have to pay his contract?
Was it to bluff the HMRC or the fans?
Did they think they may get away with it?
I mean why bother?
Cheers,
Aussie liam {Ed007's Note - I have no idea until the meeting what the point was, sorry Liam.}

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Another ploy t dupe the fans into thinking they could make signings, then let the administrators release him.
