in the daily express tomorrow Fraser Forster to sign on a year loan with a 2 Million to buy him at the end of loan deal

Believable8 Unbelievable2

Wrong it was in the express today they said he would be in for 11pm tonight {Ed007's Note - It is being worked on as we speak.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi ed , i tride to post the link for you, i would take him back as he gets on with all the other lads and is not a bad keeper hail hail {Ed007's Note - If it still had the http// part our filters block it out, start with the www part, sorry about that.}

I personaly think Celtic should get Craig Gordon or begovic from stoke? and try and get Rickie Lambert of southampton ( iv said this a couple if times) Lambert is a good finisher and has a great work rate also deadly from Freekicks? I'd like to see Adam le fondre aswell. Who would you have for goalkeeper Gordon or begovic (spelling)?
Striker le fondre or Lambert? Take your pick ed?

Believable7 Unbelievable4

Begovic. are u joking? hes stoke no.1 so wont be sold for less than £5m

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea were looking at begovic lol, right away his value has increased by £5M

Fraser Foster rejoins sellick on a one-year loan deal, Clyde 1 sport, more to follow in the morning..... so much for Craig Gordon

Yaaahhhhh beauty, big Lurch is back :)

Another Ibrox championship party in May... no luck Bhoys

Believable4 Unbelievable13

The sewerbrox is dying of death and will be lucky to finish 2nd above hearts....we only need a goalie what does your team need?? defenders,,,midfieldersw and striker,,,,yous have no chance mark my words as chick young said i will be surprised if celtic havnt won the league by december

Agree0 Disagree0

So what if forster comes back? nothing will get past our midfield as celtic storm to the championship title Enjoy going into administration by january ur xmas present a bill fae eh taxman. Rangers R.I.P

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this the same big Lurch that kept a record amount of clean sheets last year? hmmmm, same will do for me this year

Agree0 Disagree0

So aye big lurch the guy that holds the record for most clean sheets in a single season in scotland? away yae go yae muppet trophey will be back in the parkhead trophy cabinet

Agree0 Disagree0

FFs Lenny this guys pi5h Can't hold a ball deosny command his area and kick outs are terrible and don't start me with his agility to get down to low shots A poor mans McGregor

Agree0 Disagree0

A goalkeeper is judged on how many goals he lets in....so in that respect, McGregor is a poor mans' Foster;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Away back to castle greyskull ya knuckle dragging cretin. keep on your own rumours site. hear fat sally is trying to resign darcheville since he likes trying to sign players that have already played for you manky mob and left for more cash then fat sally attempts to sign them and fails. league will be ours by january. hail hail

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys I'm as big a Celtic fan as all you *deleted* and I'm telling you the big mans rotten Cost us the cup final and any shots low down he can't get down to. Any of you see him play v Leeds a few weeks back? No wonder Newcastle want rid of him {Ed007's Note - We don't need your season ticket details to believe you are a CFC man, mate. That is personal information, just think of a nickname and we will trust you ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

You do realise that Forster get THREE clean sheets against you in the SPL last season?...

Agree0 Disagree0

People don't have a clue. HOW DID HE COST US THE FINAL? HE WAS OUR BEST PLAYER AND MADE 3 FANTASTIC SAVES IN IT

23 SPL clean sheets,including 3 against Rangers,honestly people don't have a clue...

Agree0 Disagree0

3 clean sheets out of 4 against rangers And the gers fans are happy hes signed plus a record of clean sheets, 23 years old and will only get better......

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he could be brought in on loan so we can sign Gordon on a pre contract in January. Might be a good stop gap to see if Gordon stays fit and to see who else is available next season. If we win the league we can afford better players so why spend so much now if we can get big Fraser on loan. Welcome back Big Man and all the best this season.

I'm hearing rumours we could take Joe Cole on loan Wat u think ed ? Any truth in it {Ed007's Note - Did you see the response this got on the LFC site earlier today? Who ever told you that please for the love of God, hit them very hard with a wet fish and get them immediate medical attention, maybe we could do a straight swap for Paddy? Shouldn't you be in bed for school starting back tomorrow?}

Believable0 Unbelievable6

Jeeze ed it was just Wat I heard you have some problems mate I look at this site every day and see a lot of bs u must hate Joe Cole {Ed007's Note - I apologise mate, I thought you were at the wind up, honestly look at the LFC site earlier today, all of us Eds were in stitches. Cole is on over 100k a week it, will NEVER happen. Again, I thought you were at it mate.}

Just an observation - thank God that Keane's now gone elsewhere. Hopefully that t*t at Man C will do likewise and we can then focus on a young, quality forward at a fraction of the over inflated wage. Our scouting system, as has been proven,over last 12 months is great and I'm sure there is a gem or two out there. would be great if we went for a UK player but accept nowadays its a global market. BTW, did anyone ever read or hear Keane say in the past, and I quote "I have always wanted to come and play in the MLS so its a dream come true for me".
No, me neither but I'm sure he's said it at every club he's been to" Looking back I wish we never signed him, would have shown us in a better light to ignore the false proclamtions of the little mercenery

Believable4 Unbelievable8

Watched him in the under 19's game and was not that impressed. Leigh Griffiths was better and that says it all.

Being told from a reliable source in Glasgow (sportss reporter) that a deal for Carlo Cudicini is almost complete.

Believable6 Unbelievable22

When the f*** has a news reporter been a reliable souce.....they lionk celtic with 200 signing targets every summer in the hope they get one right...then say they told you first.....utter shower of f***tards. if ye cant name a source then keep it to yersel

Believable8 Unbelievable9

As I said earlier if adam can go for 9m then Paddy's surely worth 5m

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2011 15:24:51
canny believe we couldnt afford 4.5m for long would of been a great signing and would of made money on him in the future.... prob pay the same in wages for bellend.....hope we get good solid goalie and a decent striker and we will do well in europa

Believable12 Unbelievable2

I did say this weeks ago and was given pelters think i shall keep my stories for my mates who listen lol

Agree0 Disagree0

At 16 Micheal Owen was a regular for Liverpool, Rooney was a regular for Everton, Walcot was a regular at Arsenal. If he was so great he would have been in or around the first team. He could 'nt even get a game for the under 19's. Not saying he can't have a career in football, but he's only had one good game against welsh school boys (where are they in the world rankings). If we get a few bob for him then all the better

Im sure that I read somewhere a couple of years ago that craig gordon said he,d never come back to Scotland and if he did he would not sign for the old firm..so you can relax on that one he does,nt like Glasgow.

Believable3 Unbelievable16

So because he doesnt like glasgow he wont sign ok i dont like work but i still go everyday y because it pays.
ed please stop lettin these clowns post
cfc1888 {Ed007's Note - It is a fair point, he did say it. Could bite him on the bum, but he did say it.}

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2011 12:20:07
Afternoon Ed, good to see ye back oldbhoy. Firstly, we all need to relax and keep sticking by Neil and trust his judgement. Team is playing well and stokes attitude on the park has been superb this season. Ki will become our main man this season. Sure we need rid of deadwood but it wont happen till last kick in transfer window, (usual).
Over in greyskulls page there in meltdown so lets keep our kool fellow bhoys.
Anyway Ed, What do you know off Alex Smithies gk from huddersfield i think? Iam told were scouting him but not heard much of him. Agree with earlier post Rigdewell would be a cracking signing. Keep up the good work buddy.

Stu88 {Ed007's Note - Thanks Stu, nice to know we are appreciated. Smithies was/is an option on the (very long) list. Lower leagues in England aren't my forte I am afraid. He is very highly rated in England and I know Man Utd's Eric Steele (their GK coach) watches regularly.}

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Stu couldnt have said it better myself, mentioned yesterday in banter page me n ed where talking about the way on and off the park is looking good, I mentioned stokeys I think he lived to regret his attitude at the end of last season plus old firm games, good to see he respects Lennon (as he hasn't respected alot of other managers), and standing by Lenny will soon reward the faithful I think we could see Celtic sign a player who will make a massive difference in the spl and Europe too, not mentioning names as I don't knw any it's just a feeling a got, but also I think position needed I.e. CB & GK will be solved first

Hail Hail

Cumby Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Greyskull was the home of He Man in the 80's cartoon so I am glad you guys all agree that Rangers are the good guys. Nice to see your making progress in your delusional state . {Ed007's Note - The good guys in a cartoon lol what about the Star Wars films then? I think Scooby-Doo is more up your street for being delusional (if you don't know what I mean look up and read about the undertones in it).

Agree0 Disagree0

Alrite Cumby bhoy, cheers bud. Bout time we stopped the this, that, n other rubbish and stuck together. I think Stokes will turn out a good player for us, sure he was to young and imature to deal with being at Arsenal and Sunderland but hes starting to grow up and realise he has talent at his feet. This boy will score goals and imo hes slightly underated.
And i agree with you if everyones attitude is good on and off the park, we`ll do well. Lenny is building a team for the big euro stage again and like you i have a sneak feeling we could be onto something transfer wise. So heres hoping.
I like the fact were are being linked with young blood and not 30 somethings that (others) are going for. But in Lennon we trust eh.

Hail Hail
Stu88

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed007 lets not get away from the fact that celtic fans have and will still continue to relate to Ibrox as castle greyskull. When will they learn lol ..... as for your knowledge of cartoons well in my day Star Wars was a film never caught the cartoon version. Scooby well you seem to be the expert there are you sure you never had a hand in writing the script {Ed007's Note - I was talking about the films, comparing the films to the cartoons is utter sacrilegious!!! If you want to nit pick over an of the cuff remark regarding a cartoon show then so be it. I am more worried about why it is illegal to use the "H" word yet they were a very proud and noble raise that should really be a compliment to an extent. But you keep watching the cartoons and I'll keep you updated on the real world. And at least we know Matt Groening is a CFC fan.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Why o why do folk not think before they speak Ed?? Mate intellegence just isnt there thing.....knuckle dragging is right enough. Keep up the good work oldbhoy haha.
P.S Just for the simple, arguementitive folk...Yes we say Greyskull because its the home of skeletor(the baddie in he-man).
Stu88 {Ed007's Note - LMAO it's not!!!! He-man did stay there!! Skeletor was trying to conquer it to discover its "ancient" secrets!!! FFS drop this lmao}

Agree0 Disagree0

Just testing you Ed...honestlol. Good to see your on the ball By the power of greyskull its time to quit.lol

Agree0 Disagree0

The greyskull thing was an off the cuff remark by a killie supporting weather girl after the orcs signed boyd. Mordor suits them better in my opinion. As for Groening, I reckon he's a don. Several references to aberdeen in there. Think the celtic/Ireland Episode was to wind the orcs up. Either that, or he has a Tim working as a writer.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2011 12:19:33
I know this isnt a rumour but does no-one remember when we played Hearts to win the league and they had nothing to play for ? Gordon rushing into our box for a corner desperate that we shouldnt win the league . I wouldnt touch that currant in a million years .
CelticMatt

Believable14 Unbelievable6

Wouldnt touch him
what about mcdonald's last minute winner for motherwwll suppose u wouldnt have touched him either or miller for that matter cus he played for rankers get a grip thats what happens its football he was trying to help his team score like all keepers do in the dying seconds
cfc1888

Agree0 Disagree0

Jeez, so he wanted to prevent his team from losing. Take your tinted specs off and see it for what it is. He didn't do it to ensure Rangers won the league he did it cos his manager told him too and that's what you do. So on the last game of this season if we need to win against a team who don't they should just let us win?

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the last post in general terms but only up to a point. Also in General terms some players over the years play as if they are in the World Cup final when they are trying to stop Celtic winning the league...Kilmarnock 2003 comes to mind...and with an ex Celtic Keeper between the sticks

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldnt want to sign anyone who didnt try for whatever club he was playing for ffs henrik scored for barca against us do you hate him as well what a tw*t

Agree0 Disagree0

What about the game where he practically threw the ball into his own net to give us a 2-1 win in the last minute...ish of the game? That was a great finish to a game :-D haha

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolute paranoid drivel and I'm a Celtic fan.

Gordon doesn't support either of the old firm, he is a terrific goalie and I would be over the moon if we sign him.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2011 11:53:14
So, the lack of ambition shown again by CFC again in not signing Robbie Keane. Oh well, we Lenny has other things up his sleeve. Bellamy will only move if City pay 75% of his wages (won't happen). Considering a move for Kevin Doyle, but £5M is a hefty fee. Ashley Williams (defender from Swansea also being looked at. ED - any other fresh rumours for a CB or striker? Ta {Ed007's Note - Nothing new at my end, sorry.}

Believable2 Unbelievable10

Doyles nearer 10m and arsenal are interested so no chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Ashley williams just signed contract extension at swansea

Agree0 Disagree0

Keane did not want to come so why pursue a player who does not want to play. so i do not see this as 'lack of ambition' on celtic's part.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ashley williams just signed a contract extension so u can forget him

Agree0 Disagree0

The lack of ambition is being shown by keane, who has chosen to chase money rather than trophies {Ed007's Note - He has always chased money, it is no surprise.}

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Aug 2011 10:29:04
think we should put in a bid for le fondre i seen the boy last season a couple of times he is a prolific goal scorer and would bang them in regular in the spl .patrick -k good work ed. {Ed007's Note - Thanks, Patrick.}

Believable8 Unbelievable2

16 Aug 2011 09:58:01
guys i wouldnt touch gordon, there is a reason why sunderland now have 2 other keepers, Im a goalkeeper sorry was a goalkeeper but stopped playing pro, still playing juniors. I have done once what gordon has done twice now. When a goalkeeper breaks his wrist its very very serious. I did it once and was out f or over a year. Because its a very flexible joint it takes so long to heal but the problem isnt the healing its the fact that you lose so much strength in that hand. The guy has broken his twice now (quite close together) although im sure the second one was in training recovering from the first . Im not 100% sure tho so correct me if im wrong but even breaking a wrist once as a GK is so dangerous. If i were Lenny and the board i wouldnt gamble on a keeper who will be wanting at least 30k a week. A shame tho cos Grodon could have been one fo the all time greats.

Believable7 Unbelievable5

I don't agree with that mate. Look at the boy Szczeny who broke both his wrists lifting weights and he's came back even stronger. I just think its 1 of those things in football that he went to a club and has had 2 years of injuries, some of these have been leg inuries to. but he didn't miss many games at hearts it could just be a case of the demands down south to bulk up may not agree with his body

Agree0 Disagree0

Im a keeper too and if i broke my wrist i doubt i would be the same again after it never mind doing it twice, although it depends how serious it was. in sczezcenys case it wasnt as serious as gordons

Agree0 Disagree0

Fractured my arm in two places, and its stronger than my other. funny that

Agree0 Disagree0

A broken wrist will lead to weakness, that part is true but with sufficient rehab and training it should have been as good as new. I am a sports therapist so can shed a little light on his injury condition. The problem for gordon was that he returned to action to early, the injury wasnt sufficiently healed therefore was weaker anf more likely to break. He has been out for sometime and if he follows his rehab and returns to action only when physically strong enough he should be perfectly fine. Rudd Van Nistelrooy severly damaged knee ligaments two years in a row, it was so bad he nearly had to retire but he ended up at man utd and look just how well he did. There will be more pressure on an outfield players knee than a goalkeepers wrist during a game so i hope we bring in gordon as he is great player.

Scotty Bhoy

Am i the only one that thinks the comment about being an ex-pro a little bit odd? Normally someone would delete that sentence and re-phrase it yet he decides to keep it in then decided to alleviate further...just seems odd to me.

Looking at our squad as it stands, what players should never be allowed to wear our beloved hoops again:-

Maloney, Loovens, Murphy, Hoiveld, Samaras.

I'm not being too harsh, but I feel these players have nothing to add. Maloney in particular has no guts.

Please feel free to add.

Colum Mc.

Believable15 Unbelievable9

Disagree completely,Maloney is technically good sure he is lightweight but he is 5 ft nothing what do u expect He loves the club as does samaras who is frustrating yeah but he can do damage on his game and he is a handy sub to have on the bench Murphy fringe player will we get better to come be a 5th choice striker Hoiveld ain't had a chance but obv NL don't rate him so I think he should go

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with most of it but I would keep Sammy. Maloney should never have been brought back to the club

Agree0 Disagree0

Murphy is only at Celtic because of his Irish connections. Has given nothing (scored 1 goal?) and is a waste of time and taken decent money out the club No loss. Loovens had has his moments but for me he doesn't cut the mustard, hes probably a good lad in the dressing room hence he gets picked when fit. Hoiveld haha come on, his total capitulation last year against his old Dutch mates mean I agree with the post..NEVER in the hoops again Samaras...by all accounts a loyal type who is popular with the dressing room and management. He has a decent return and when coached properly and played to his strengths is a good squad player and remember is an International first pick. Lets be honest saying he should never wear the Hoops again is a bit rough. As for Sean Maloney, sure he may be past his best but this guy gives his all for the club and has had serious injuries doing his duty for the Club. To suggest he should never wear the Hoops again and is past it is very harsh. Ask other players if they like playing against Maloney the answer is No. I suggest see how Maloney goes this season, I think he has the bottle for the big occasion and Cletic fans and supporters do themselves no favours having such a short memory regarding Maloneys contribution over the years. He is the last of the Seville boys and for that alone he deserves his chance and a little more respect.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maloney looks like a wee school boy and runs about like one , and whats with the free kicks, get rid

Agree0 Disagree0

Maloney is a fantastic player, he plays the Celtic way, He is technically the best we have.

Samaras is a great player on his game, i really appreciate his guille and effort on his game. However he really is the most inconsistent player. but i would not get rid of him as he can turn it on and is the only forward we have to play the loan role.

Murphy hasnt really had the chance be i think he could do a job for us. However if we can get a better player i would move him on.

Hooiveld I would never let back near a Celtic shirt. I am sure that he made snide comments towards the fact that Rangers won the league didnt like him or take to him at all.

Loovens is over criticised dows a job for us when requried to. yes makes mistakes but so does everyone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ya shudda told wee silly bhoy Lennon this ages ago he just signed Samaras up in APRIL for another 4 years WHAT A MANAGER HE IS

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed.. I accept I am a bit conventional. But is it really acceptable to hear OUR manager who is a fine MAN being spoken about by a supposed Celtic person in such a disparaging way on the site. Free speech and a bit of banter with the odd bit of excitement regarding the odd real heads up is what I think the site should be about. I do get peed off when I see people posting puerile remarks, I can only hope this was a comment from the dark side....:) {Ed007's Note - It obviously is but again it is hard to tell with no name, that is one of the problems CFC fans face, they don't know if someone is being constructively critical or a Rangers fan.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe he signed him because his contract was nearing the end and with a contract he would get a fee for him. Good business if you ask me. He is a greek international and there is bound to be interest in him.

Colum Mc

Agree0 Disagree0

Maloney needs confidence and games then he would do great.

Good morning ed,

What do u make of this piece from BBC website,

"Sion defeated Neuchatel Xamax in the final of the Swiss Cup in May.
Celtic's Europa league opponents Sion are at the centre of a row with Fifa.
The Swiss League had initially enforced a Fifa transfer ban on the club, meaning six players signed by the club this summer were unable to play.
The league backed down at the weekend after the players took their case to a civil court in Martigny and three of the players then took part in the weekend's draw with Lucerne.
On Monday, Fifa warned the Swiss League they must adhere to its ruling.
The signing of Essam al-Hadary resulted in a transfer embargo.
The governing body's statutes ban any football-related disputes being taken to the courts and federations which fail to enforce this can ultimately be suspended.
"Fifa and Uefa, in a letter sent on 10 August, underlined the strict application of the regulations and informed the Swiss Football Association that they are expected to comply with them and to take the necessary measures to respect them," Fifa said in statement.

Before its ruling last week, the Swiss League admitted it had been put "in a very difficult situation" by the conflicting orders.
Sion, who face Celtic on Thursday, fielded Mario Mutsch, Guinea midfielder Pascal Feindouno and former Barcelona player Gabri in their 2-2 draw with FC Lucerne at the weekend.
The former Hearts player Jose Goncalves is another of the players affected by the row.
Sion were banned from signing players for two transfer periods, starting with the 2010/11 season, after Fifa ruled it had been guilty of inducing Egypt goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary to break his contract with Cairo-based club Al Ahli in 2008."

Looks like this thing with sion just starting

Cumby Bhoy {Ed007's Note - I am waiting on Ed002 to get back to me Cumby, she is far better equipped and knowledgeable about the legal/contract situation side of things than I am, no point of me telling you guys a lot of BS just because I don't know, not my style.}

I completely, 100% agree that if we could afford Rdigewell, that he would be a superb signing for us. I live in England now and saw a lot of this guy over the last 5 years. No Nonesense, whilst cool under pressure. Furthermore he is a leader.

Sky sports said Celtic are interested in Craig Gordon I think he is a good keeper but injury prone and also if we cleared nearly all our debts splash some cash if we have a convincing win v sion spend 3-4 million on a cb and a striker if we spend 10 million we would make that back rather easy paddy mccourt 3milliom europa league group stages 4million that's 7 million if we make it further even more money in, gatekeeper I'd like to see Gordin or stoke keeper?

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Actually thought about Sorensen when i seen the stoke team at the weekend. Last season he was the "cup keeper", think he'd be worth a shot. he's experience and a decent keeper. Don't see Tony Pulis letting him go mind you

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi ed what do you think of Gerhard Tremmel thought he had a descent game against us in the Swansea game,and is a free agent.I Think he would be worth a punt,commands his 6 yard box,and i think thats just the kind of keeper we need.MACCA {Ed007's Note - Could be worth a look Macca, he isn't the worst name to be mentioned IMO.}

Football players always come out with a statement that they are over the moon about joining a club , but can anyone remember an article in one of the scottish papers when keane was at celtic saying that keanes wife is trying to talk him into moving to the states like beckham to join a team like LA .

its not a dream come true for him . its a dream come true for her.

Believable11 Unbelievable4
