Are we meant to be signing a free agent? And who is it?

Believable13 Unbelievable8

I've heard it's 23 year old Kevin Pezzoni, a German defender that was sack from Fc Koln for violent conduct Have you heard anything Ed?
Gazcfc21

Agree1 Disagree0

Can he play left back

Ska bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

He didn't get sacked for violent conduct! He was beaten up by his own fans at a carnival where he had his nose broken! He was also confronted by his own angry fans outside his own home and received threats! Fans blamed his poor performances as the reason they got relegated! So he asked for his contract to be terminated as he didn't want to continue playing for them and the club agreed to this

Ice man

Agree0 Disagree1

A think it might be Sean Connery oo7 a think he's free or John ingman a think he's defo free

Agree0 Disagree0

Jon inman wiznae free he charged wee timbo 20 squid

Agree0 Disagree0

What about your 8 million plus izzy what ever happened to him?

Agree0 Disagree0

He's still a cracker, just trying to find his best form. Its just some idiots seem to think he is the one to blame when things don't go well. Try watching the games, or paying attention when your are at them. Or maybe your memories f*cked and you don't remember Lee Naylor, Mo Camara, Stephane Mahe, Danny fox...the list is endless. Izzy is the best left back we have had in a long, long time. He is not at his best just now but far from being the weak link. If your talking about yesterday try Lustig, Wilson, Forrest, Hooper and Rogue when he come on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said mate . the doom and gloom merchants are out in force. supporter . look it up in a dictionary and remember it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Look guys i posted about Izzy the other day but for whatever reason It was not put up? Anway the point i made was Izzy has been shocking since he came back that is the truth of the matter. Even when he was doing well his defending was not the best but he made up for it going forward. Btw the other thing that really gets to me is the fact that to many players in our team want to move or have higher wages as soon as they play a few good games. Kayal and Wanyama spring to minde. Do you ever hear Ledley Brown Mathews or Mulgrew harping on? These are the guys i want to see playing for the club.

Beaten by the bottom club is unacceptable. Eight points from fifteen is ridiculous and NL seems to be struggling to motivate and field a settled side.
It's plain to see that the absence of Sevco has given other teams a lift and with both cups going out of Glasgow last season, there is a lack of fear in the SPL. Especially against our defence (lost goals in 5).
Celtic on the other hand seem to be seriously under-performing week to week and coming up well short of the standards that are expected.
I reckon there are at least a couple of players who clearly wanted a move (Hooper and Wilson) and their performances are obviously not good enough, while Lustig is never going to make the grade.
The CL will be a daunting place for us in this state unless we play out of our skin every game.
But going on the season so far it seems a tall order. (although we have been better in the CL quals against the wee teams).
I really hope we get our act together very soon and it doesn't take another half-time crisis at Rugby Park Oct/Nov scenario all over again?

Jungle Jim

Believable24 Unbelievable10

Jungle Jim not sure what you've been watching but, for me, Wilson has been the best CH at the club so far this season. Agree that Hooper has been poor and that we could be badlybexposed in the CL but I would much rather be there to be exposed rather than just watching and wondering..........and who knows we might just be plesently surprised.

JGD

Agree2 Disagree0

It's good to see your honesty. Indeed you are in need of "sevco" to keep the SPL interesting. Don't worry, be back soon anyway.

Happy saint

Agree1 Disagree1

Todays display.
I think its all about money.
NI said he was going to pay special money to keep Wana and Hooper.
NI should have kept hos mouth shut and made deals behind closed doors.
Rogen is pissed off. But is spreads.
DISCONTENT.
NI has got to empathise.
Forrest - worst Ive seem him play.
Commos bet Celtc layer.

Overall finishing and cetntral defence was pish. Glad I didnt buy a ticket and watched on TV.
Watt should have started.

Agree1 Disagree0

how many games to go? remember his interview after hearts game at start of last season when we had lost our 3 rd game?? we will win the league , we will not win champs league ,lets enjoy europe cause next season we will have 3 qulai rounds, we are playing bad in league but we are missing 2 of our most consistant players in sammi & ledley , have the faith!

Agree0 Disagree0

That sums it up wilson best defender he is CRAP!Lets start kickin ass if you cant beat THE MIGHT OF SAINT JOHNSTONE,YOU can eff off lets see watt, twardzik, johnstone, atajic, fraser, irvine, start couldnt give any less than the pretenders today.

Agree0 Disagree0

The performances over the last year have been shocking two cups thrown away plus two embarassing defeats at ibrox should have seen lennon sacked the empty seats at home games is testimony to his lack of entertaining football watch how benfica play on the same budget as us its gonna be a long season

Agree0 Disagree0

This was totally unaceptable utter rubbish
brownie was only pass mark Commons to greedy Forrest poor defence - what defence time for a rethink and quickly.

Agree0 Disagree0

Calm down. we're just a victim of our own success, we have multiple internationals so will ALWAYS be the weakest/ most tired team after a break. I think it was a great piece of business to get in two new strikers because hooper is getting complacent. Once the new boys are starting to settle we might see hooper dropped to get better.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mulgrew was even worse than his hair doo.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm glad I didnt buy a ticket to watch that display.
Specially disapointed with wee FOR.
Commons was top man.

Agree0 Disagree0

Joke of a performance again this week and yet these idiots still come on here giving it calm down what's the problem, we'll win the league anyway. I'll tell you the problem mate me and thousands of others work hard all week and spend money (in these times of hardship) on club merchandise, season tickets, CL qualifiers, CL group games, tickets and travel to away games any we have a team who look as if they can't even be ar*ed being there that's the problem. We've lost 7 goals in 5 games can't beat Ross County, Hibs or St Johnstone.

But then again like one of the last posts "we'll win the league, just enjoy Europe" brilliant mate i'll enjoy 6 games all season and just never mind the other 35 or so games. Great logic

But hey on the brightside there's a crazy Sevco fan a couple of posts up still going on about how we need them !!! You lot can't even beat Annan Athletic so although we're not great at the moment we'll never be as bad as you

Sorry for the rant but some things need saying

Gary

Agree1 Disagree1

All the above posts have relevent points It's like a cup final for every other team this year. We were out mussled and bullied at times today especially at the back. We need to try and develope a partnership at center half. we need to give a coupleof guys a real run and stop chopping & changing

Agree0 Disagree0

No one has mentioned euan morris his decision in the 25th minute abysmal,.,.kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Gary you are spot on.

Agree0 Disagree1

Hibby in peace.after watching the game lennon is going to have to explain to his pl layers that its not first goal wins.celtic seem to think it was over after 4 minutes and didnt play after that.you will walk the league but might be after xmas now(lol).good luck this week the champions league though....

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said that man Gary.
Blonde bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Yesterdays performance was not good enough. The players thought game was over after Commons' goal and seemed to be looking forward to midweek. Lennon didn't motivate the players well enough and his substitutions were poor. We needed the kick in the arse before Benfica.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gary you are so right.. you never mentioned our manager though. every game i say to the good lady. we should get him off and him on. and sure enough lenny does it . just twenty minutes after i've said it. some of us seem to think crap football and bad results are acceptable as long as we have a legen in chagre.shamrock

Agree0 Disagree0

Whos says celti will walk the league? when will this start? not played a good game in the spl yet, and cant see the champs league being a confidence booster

Agree0 Disagree0

We need more like Gary, honesty always the best policy mate ,I have criticised the ambition off the board on here before and the lack of quality signed in the transfer window ,best we can hope for is 3rd place in the CL and it could get embarrassing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hate to say it , but I can see us losing to bottom team Dundee next saturday unless players realise that you only play football 90 minutes at a time. Every game is important. NL needs to get players in the right head space.

Agree0 Disagree0

Any other season and some fans would be calling for a new manager

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe, just maybe this is a pretty poor Celtic team. Ever thought of that.

Nothing to do with that shocking performance but I have 2 tickets for the benfica game and unfortunately cannot make it. Part of the 3 match package so £35 face value. Let me know if anyone interested.

Have you or any of the posters heard anything about us signing a free agent shortly . Was told last night but wasnt given a name .

That performance in Perth was shocking , Hooper and Mulgrew were exceptionally rank , with the rest not much better

lenny got it wrong again.. he should have played james forrest today... why oh why was that laddie still on the park after half time. he did nothing . i am approaching 60 and i would have done more than wee forrest today.. every sub i'm thinking forrest off , but no, he finished .. unbelieveable.. i've said it before as billybhoy, there is no one on this earth i respect and admire more than lenny but his tactics and team choices are way up there with fat sally. yes we will win the league but so would i.. . if we play like that in cl .. we are f***** .. shamrock

Believable12 Unbelievable8

Omg, first don't say you know more then nl in coaching and how you could do better cause no one cares about that or believes you, one loss and Lennon is like fat sally? What about the team in Europe where we had no goals against and 4 goals for, what about our unbeaten run last year, what about 15points down to turn it around in record time, 4 games in and you down grade him to ally.
Your entitled to say what you want but don't say stupid things like nl is like the worse coach in Scotland, we are not going to win every game, this isn't div 3 we play in. Most if not all the players were poor today and they are coming off a 2 week break so they might be a little rusty. Give credit to st.Johnston they played well, but calm down before you sock off nl because for you to say he is like ally just shows yourself up and you lose all credit to any point you make. C-Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

To the post above. I am not the original poster, but although you have some valid poits in regards to Lenny, you failed to mention our shocking record in the cups? We SHOULD have won the treble last season and had the players there to do it, yet we flopped BIG TIME. Under Lenny I have never seen a Celtic team turn up at Hampden on the big occasion. I was not the only person to think last season was not the success it was made out to be. Yes, we won the league, but with the dead club going into Admin the pressure was relieved. We were shocing against Killie and don't even get me started on the Hearts game. Neil is tactically naive in a large majority of games and I think the original poster is right to question his judgement. Before you make an arguemnt you should reveal all the facts.

Agree0 Disagree0

What makes anyone think we have the god given right to win the treble? and if we dont that means we have flopped 'BIG TIME'? this to me means you have no idea about football. Tes we have the best team in the comp but that means nothing ona any given day. We won the comp that shows who is the best over a season ( the league ) but on any given day any team can beat any other team, look at Chelsea for example, they won the CL but were no where near the best team in the comp. I think some people ( OP ) need understand football more and look outside their buble and realise that just because you have a better team on paper you don't automatacally win games/comps.

I feel we have the correct manager and board in place for our club and accept that not every game day will be a victory.

I know there will be thoses out there that disagree ( stevo dundee probably ) but thats my opinion

JGD

Agree0 Disagree0

C-bhoy if you are happy with the way we played today and are happy with lennys tactics , could you send me some of your pills. forrest touched the ball about 17 times today . i wish you were my gaffer . i'd work about 5 minutes in my 12hr shift. lenny does not have '' IT '' and yes i have been saying this for over a year now , not off the back of one bad result.. shamrock

Agree0 Disagree0

I actually cannot believe you are slating Forrest after 1 poor performance . At his age to have carried the team last season when guys like Commons werent kicking a ball and starting this season well in the Champs League . There were a lot of bad performers today Lustig , Wanyama , Izzy , Mulgrew and Wilson all who are older and some who didnt play Internationals . Yes , I think in the league we have started poorly but yes I think we will still win it before the split I just do not feel the need to come on and pick on one player . I will however go and get behind my team in midweek because in my 34 years as a Celtic fan there has not been a better time to support Celtic .
CelticMatt

Agree0 Disagree0

Lose 1 game and you are all arguing already?
Haha, brilliant.

Dtp89

Agree0 Disagree0

Shamrock I didn't say I like the way we played we were poor throughout the team but those games happen. We are not going to win every game cause that is what sports is about show up and anyone has a chance on thier day.
My point I dislike from you was that you go on saying that nl is as bad as am when that is further from the truth and you go on saying how better you would be Forrest is the ****tyest bla bla bla. You need to relax cause you are attacking the club after one loss at the start of the season, you lose all credit for you are seen as just someone who is just a hot head. Lennon proved he is the man for the job and miles ahead of am and have you noticed we are scoreing more from set pieces and corners? That's down to Lennon and he has shown he will mix things up and try new things. As for Forrest he is the best prospect to come out of Scotland in awhile and one bad game and he should be dropped, I wait to hear what you say about him if he runs wild on Wed. C-Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

JGD i'll back NL but no chance I would back the board, total skinflints mate just to remind you Steven Fletcher. We missed the boat big time ,thanks to the board!

I hope this was to lull Benfica into a fall sense of security, if not we're f...cked. For their fist goal , Mulgrew just walked away and left their man the freedom of the box, not the first time he's been guilty of this. he's never been a cb. After that, a completely inept performance. We are in danger of treating the league like the "rabbit and the hare" race if we don't shape up and quick. We got beaten by a poor team with a bit of effort and if honest, two good goals (if we scored them, we would say they were well worked). But all in all a piss poor show, massive improvement required.

chasaboy

Believable8 Unbelievable2

Cant deny st johnstone thoroughly deserved their victory today.what annoyed me most of all, wasn,t celtics performance ,it was the referee he awarded 41 free kicks and booked 8 never at any time did he allow the game to flow, blowing for run of the mill tackles a disgraceful effort from a poor referee.

Agree0 Disagree0

Commons should been sent off, same with the boy anderson

Agree0 Disagree0

Same old celtic blaming the ref, a can rember the post, we will go the season unbeaten, can rember the quote WE CAN WIN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, were they playing football manager non stop?

Agree0 Disagree0

If you are referring to my post regarding the referee, i never blamed the ref for celtic losing, i said st johnstone thoroughly deserved to win.i was commenting on the award of 41 fouls and 8 cautions over 90 mins.fans paid up to £30 for to see a game of football only to cheated by a whistle happy referee who spoiled it for everyone by refusing to allow the game to flow.

1st time post. Ed Can someone please list stats when Lustig starts for Celtic. One of our worst ever signings. Dhanbo

Believable9 Unbelievable4

You're not wrong in your opinion of Lustig! He is terrible. Although we've had many good signings like Wanyama, Kayal etc we've also had a good few boobs under Lenny. For every Victor there is a Bangura and for every Ledley there is a Murphy.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Lustig is anywhere near our team on Wed we will get hammered. The Norwegian league must be like the Scots divsion three if this guy stands out...

A few weeks ago there was a post re. Gary Hooper. I Commented that I never rated the boy, as he was to afraid to use his left peg or get his head in. For this i was called a sevconian, was told to get back to my own page. Today, the ball fell to him. 7 yards out. All it took was a shot with the left peg and he would have scores. Yet he stabbed it towards goal with the outside of his right foot, and didn't score. It rebounded up and instead of heading it, he tried to kick it, about 5 foot in the air, again with his right foot. THe guy is on 10-20k per week, and refuses/can't use anything but his right foot. Not good enough for a celtic centre forward.

SAmson

Believable16 Unbelievable6

I started the post regarding Gary Hooper and was called similar names likes yourself. Although he does score goals, his form 3 games out of four is shocking for a Celtic centre forward. Starting to lose my patience when it's clear he is not interested. Would bit your hands off if someone came in with a reasonable bid for him. This will not happen, however, as no EPL club will match the 7mill that Celtic apparently want.I wonder why that is?

Agree1 Disagree0

I was part of that conversation and no where did I see anyone call you a newco fan or anything lik that, however someone not sure if it was you just went on and said just because ppl disagree they are labeled a newco fan. Well he was wrong and just steering things up because no one called another a newco.

Samson you talk about how easy it was for hooper just to use his left leg for the goal, yet you don't mention how there was the keeper a yard in front of him and a player all of him with hardly any room. Did you not see hIs great vision to pick out commons for the goal? He made some good link up play but because he dosent score, ooooh sorry dosent use his left leg he is shiat? And now it's sell him for wtv, the guy who was one of the top 5 to score the most in Europe, why sell him cause we could find a bunch of strikers to score 50+ goals in 2 seasons? He has been off form but he still contributes in the game. You need a better argument then him not using his left cause that is just a dumb argument to get rid of him. C-Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree1

Iv never rated hooper he misses 4 or 5 sitters for every goal he scores now hes struggling because hes not getting the chances to afford his sitters now

Sally takes the biscuit with this rant. At which part in the proceedings has it been a witch hunt? And more to the point, who the hell in their right mind would agree with him outside Sevco? This team has been fast tracked into the Scottish league, leaving other teams that are legitimately in the queue. They have been let off with a wee slap on the wrist for nearly bringing down Scottish football with a paltry fine. Everything that has happened to that club has been of their own making! Personally, I can't wait to see the oldco sent through the wringer and shamed for the rotten institution they really were. Mcoist should learn when to open his mouth, his words are rabble rousing to his legion of mugs.
